A Song - The Bridegroom and the Virgins
Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days
Composer's Foreword
A story of a bachelor and virgins were shared in Matthew 25. God points out the need for consistency in believers daily affairs in the story so that believers would not miss out with their Master and Lord when he returns for them.
I hope believers globally will find this composed song beneficial to them.
Thank you.
Composed Song
Leader
A Bachelor went out to
To find a Wife even for himself
In his search for a wife
He finds ten virgins for himself
Chorus
Leader
He wooa each one of them
Professing his unflinching love for them
Indeed he shows them
Demonstrating his love for each one
Chorus
Leader
Their journeys of love
Was fun-filled every passing day
All the virgin ladies
Were subsumed in the love of the man
Chorus
Leader
Then something happened
The young man was called home by his Father
And his Father sends
Sends him to a very far land
Chorus
Leader
B'fore his departure
He gave each virgin special lamb
The lamb is a sign
Token of my love for each one
Chorus
Leader
I will soon return
For you the groom says to each one
Imploring each one of them
Not to allow the light to go out
Chorus
Leader
But the groom tarries
Tarries longer than expected
Soon all the virgins
They slumbered and they slept off
Chorus
Leader
When they don't expect
Even at the midnight hour
Security man cries out
"Behold the groom is on his way"
Chorus
Leader
All the virgins arose
Even out of their deep sleep
Then each one of them
Take their lambs and they trimmed it
Chorus
Leader
While lights of the wise
Kept on glowing and glowing
But lights of foolish virgins
Became dimmed and was going out
Chorus
Leader
The foolish virgins pleaded
With wise virgins to give 'em some of their oil
For behold our lights
Are now dimmed and are going out
Chorus
Leader
The wise ones replied
That oil they have is barely enough for them
And suggest to them
That they should go and buy for themselves
Chorus
Leader
While on their way to
Purchase new oil for themselves
Bridegroom arrives and
The wise enter wedding banquet with him
Chorus
Leader
When the fools return
It's pity the door has been shut
They banged at the door
Shouting but the door wasn't opened
Chorus
Leader
Go away from me
The groom says to the foolish ones
I do not know you
Because you never did love me
Chorus
Leader
Be one of the wise
That the groom will acknowledge
With all that you have
Love an serve even the groom
Chorus
