Singing and composing hymns and other songs have been part of my life since my teenage days

Composer’s Foreword

I am not good in notes, but from the local church trainings while in choir, I have come around with this hymn using another hymn. If you know the hymn beneath, then you can join me to sing this song unto the Lord.

The Composed Song

1. When God wanted to create man

He called the Hosts of heaven,

The father, the son and the Holy Ghost

Saying let’s make man in our image

2. The Lord, the God hath ‘ven formed man

Out of the dust of the ground

Male and female he hath formed them

And breathed to their nostrils

3. The man he has formed he has placed

Even in the planted garden

That’s located to the east of Eden

To dress and to keep it

Scroll to Continue

4. Out of all trees in the garden

They are free even to eat from

But tree of knowledge of evil an’ good

It’s forbidden for them

5. Why the tree is forbidden to them

God clearly spelt out to them

For when they eat out of the tree

They undoubtedly will die

6. But serpent in his subtilty

Even ‘ccousted the woman

Telling her that she will not die

By eating from forbidden tree

7. The woman ate the forbidden fruit

And gave also his husband

After they have eaten the fruits

Their eyes were ‘ven opened

8. When they saw that they were naked

They plucked leaves to make aprons

But their nakedness weren’t covered

Thus, they went into hiding

9. In cool of the day when God arrived

He was searching for them

When he couldn’t find them he called

Adam where even art thou?

10. Adam answered I hid myself

When I heard thy footsteps

Because I am even naked

And do not want you see me

11. He asks to know how he knows that

That he was even naked

But Adam could not reply him

And this grieves the mind of God

12. Then God asks if he has eaten forbidden fruit

And Adam’s response was that

The woman thou hath given to me

Was the one who gave me the fruit

13. God turned to the woman and ask

What was it that came upon you

The woman points to the serpent

That it is the one who beguiled her

14. God cursing the serpent he said

From now on thy belly you ‘ll crawl

And from dust of ground thou shall eat

As long as you live on earth

15. To the woman God turneth and say

You and serpent shall ‘ver be enemies

I ‘ll increase your trouble in pregnancy

In pain also shall you give birth

16. And to the man He also said

The land is cursed for your sake

You ‘ll have to work hard in your life

Before earth yielded its fruits

17. The story they never heard of

Yea of how they were formed

This story God also told them

So that they ‘ll know they ‘re flesh

18. Out of the dusts I have formed thee

Thou shall also return to the dusts

Because thou hast rejected my voice

This even is my judgment

19. Come ye to the Lord of dear brethren

To be saved from judgment of God

Yea the grace of salvation has appeared

Yea to everyone once.
