5 Possible Downsides to the UFO Disclosure

Whether we learn the truth through the government or mass contact, UFO disclosure is going to happen eventually, and it may be sooner than you think.

As an adamant proponent of the disclosure, I impatiently await the revelation—but there is a grain of salt in my enthusiasm. Are there any downsides to the big "D"?

1. Cultural Shock and Disruption of the Social Order

Although most people have, if not a conviction, at least a sneaking suspicion that there is more to the story than weather balloons or military tests, disclosing the extraterrestrial reality will still result in a great shock.

Some will have their most cherished beliefs shattered in a matter of seconds; others will feel frightened and even terrified in the most primal, overwhelming way.

The shock will be exacerbated by the realization of the UFO cover-up. People will have to come to terms with the fact that they've been lied to for 60+ years, if we consider the Roswell crash to be the triggering event that created the need for the cover-up.

Essential information that was meant for the entire human race was concealed for far too long. In all likelihood, there will be a public outcry against the government(s). The authorities will try to frame the disclosure in their favor, posing as the caretakers of humanity, but it will take a long time before people can trust them again.

2. ETs May Be Too Different

ETs may be too advanced or too different for us to understand, communicate with or relate to. Correspondingly, humans may be too different or too un-evolved for the extraterrestrials (assuming they are...um...extra-terrestrial).

Some scientists believe that we shouldn't be disclosing anything or advertising our presence to other civilizations because if some advanced space-faring species learn of our existence, chances are, they'll only be interested in our resources.

Stephen Hawking warned us that "if aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans."

Carl Jung wrote in 1954 that in the event of the disclosure, humanity as a whole would end up "in the precarious position of primitive communities today in conflict with the superior culture...the rudder would be removed from our grasp."

Extraterrestrial researcher Erich von Daniken explains the psychological aspect of the issue: "We don't like extraterrestrials. We don't want extraterrestrials, we are afraid of them. It's a psychological problem - we are not ready to accept that we are not the greatest."

3. Aliens May Be . . . Not Alien at All

According to one theory, the so-called aliens are evolved humans from the future, and they travel back in time to prevent the genetic extinction of the species.

Hypothetically, if that was the case, disclosure would be both undesirable and unlikely since the "aliens" are obviously not trying to make open contact with our civilization and for a good reason.

Now before you start rolling your eyes, let me say this: our understanding of time is very primitive. We experience time as a linear sequence of events that perpetually goes on and on. But what if time is more like a fourth dimension weaved into a cause-and-effect tapestry? Or Pandora's box containing all possible scenarios in all the multiverse that can be hacked?

Nobody knows what time is, nobody. Even the most reputable scientists of our time don't presume to understand it, nor do they discard the possibility of time travel.

Einstein was obsessed with it. Stephen Hawking said that it's entirely possible to go forward in time if you're traveling within a vessel that approaches the speed of light, or if you're near an object of enormous mass. (Technically, it's not time travel, it's living in a slower than Earth time zone, like in a spaceship traveling near a black hole.) Hawking did, however, conclude that travel back in time is impossible because of the time travel paradox.

But who's to say that scientists living hundreds or thousands of years from now won't master time travel? Consider the advances that happened in the last 100 years alone. Can we imagine the kind of science that would exist, say, mere five thousand years from now?

As far-fetched as it sounds, there is some subsidiary evidence to support this theory, namely, the Rendlesham Forest incident (a.k.a. 'Britain's Roswell') when Sgt. James Penniston telepathically received a binary code from contact with an unidentified craft. When the data was decoded many years later, it was found to contain, among other things, the phrases "exploration of humanity" and “for planetary advancement,” and the number 8100, presumed to be a date.

Another piece of the puzzle comes from a respected U.S. Navy Commander and scientist George W. Hoover, who was one of the top-clearance people in charge of investigating the Roswell debris (and bodies) after the notorious UFO crash of 1947. Shortly before his death, Hoover stated that he believed the aliens were not extraterrestrial but "extratemporal" —as in, from another time. He also believed they were not alien but human and "clearly from the future." He said they had extraordinary abilities to use their consciousness to manipulate time and matter and that our government fears their abilities.

4. Access to Advanced Technology

It should be obvious to any evolved civilization that humans with advanced technology equals monkey with a grenade.

As a civilization, we are neurotic and violent. And we have a tendency to turn any new scientific discovery into a weapon.

Many UFO researchers contend that the wreckage after the Roswell UFO crash has been immediately appropriated by the US military, studied, and reverse-engineered into the Stealth series of military aircraft. Other rapid advancements in modern warfare in the last 50 years have also been linked to leaked UFO technology (you can read more on the subject in Philip Corso’s The Day After Roswell).

I'm not an expert on weapons, but in all probability, any advanced alien technology will be used and abused by the military before (and if) it ever gets to the people.

5. Disinformation

Perhaps, the biggest potential downside to a UFO file disclosure is disinformation.

If the government initiates the disclosure, chances are, it will be a partial disclosure at best. They will not tell the whole truth but selected bits and pieces.

Worse yet, some authors suggest that the UFO files disclosure will be just a preparation step for another war under false pretenses, this time of interplanetary proportions.

One staged attack - and people will get behind whatever military measures the government will find necessary. 9/11 certainly fit the bill for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan – wars that still carry on. And many reported that "UFOs" are built (reverse-engineered) by the military.

Psychologically, people are already prepared for an "alien invasion." Look at the sci-fi movies and TV series released in the last 10-20 years - most of them deal with some kind of alien threat in the end-of-the-world scenario. Just to name a few:

"Independence Day" (1996), "The Arrival" (1996), "Signs" (2002), "War of the Worlds" (2005), "Transformers" (2007), "The Invasion" (2007), "Cloverfield" (2008), TV series "V" (2009-2011), "Skyline" (2010), "Cowboys & Aliens" (2011), "Battle: Los Angeles" (2011), "Darkest Hour" (2011), TV series "Falling Skies" (2011-2014), "Battleship" (2012), "The Avengers" (2012), "Prometheus" (2012), "Dark Skies" (2013), "Man Of Steel" (2013), "Oblivion" (2013), "Pacific Rim" (2013), "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014), "Outpost 37" (2014),"The 5th Wave" (2016), "Independence Day: Resurgence" (2016).

Space-Based Weapons

It's not as far-fetched as you think. We already have weapons in space.

Von Braun correctly predicted every major US war in the last 70 years: the Cold War and the “Star Wars” program, the war on the rogue nations, the War on Terror, and now—the weaponization of space.

Weapons in space are said to protect us from asteroids and comets, but according to von Braun's associate, Dr. Carol Rosin, the final step in gaining global control over the population is an alien threat from outer space.

It will be "an attempt to unite the world through militarism [...] using ET as the new cosmic scapegoat." (Dr. Steven Greer, "Cosmic Deception: Let The Citizen Beware," 2002).

What Do You Think?

It's clear to see that if disclosure happens through government-sanctioned channels, it will not be full disclosure; it will be a mixture of half-truths and outright lies designed to prevent the whole truth from coming out. At this point, the disclosure will be taken from the people and turned into another travesty of fear-mongering and mass enslavement.

That's why disclosure has to come from another source. It has to either come gradually through the raising of the collective human consciousness or through those beings who wish to establish contact with the human race.

Pheonix lights...did the people respond in a disorderly manner? I believe it came down to what is the truth. No one was harmed but sadly our own leaders and military have made a mess of it through their deception. Truth and revealing our origins may very well free us from the insanity of our egos. Another possibility about disclosure which your article didn't go into involves the fact that these might actually be a race living here on our planet who have the technical means to stay hidden. We live in a world where the education systems (of the West at least) teach kids that the Pyramids of Giza are tombs. They were built with Jewish slaves who not only made the ‘mortar’ with mud and grain but also manhandled the stones, 30 tons on average, in place.

This system also teaches that man evolved from cave dwellers who walked with dinosaurs who were supposedly completely wiped out with an astronomical event that miraculously left the cave dwellers unscathed...oh and the dinosaurs went on to provide ‘fossil fuel’ for our current day vehicles!

On the other hand if Aliens were so advanced and superior, why would they come in secret and ‘corroborate’ the same lie that our ‘evil’ government is forcing on us?

Disclosure? Really? We still believe that Santa Clause built the Pyramids, that the Aztec culture wearing loin cloths and walking bare footed while sacrificing babies built the Temple of the Moon in Tulum right in front of a cliff with no stones of the like anywhere close and left messages of sophisticated hieroglyphics (that they still cannot decipher) written all over it.

Firstly I believe we already have weapons in space so in my mind we can put that one to bed. I am a firm believer that we are and have been visited by EBE's. There was a time I was excited by the thought that there was something else out there. In the last few years my investigation on the topic has lead me to believe that there is actually nothing to be excited about but rather worried. If in truth they do exist and are far beyond us in technology why do they not simply arrive and state that we have nothing to fear "They come in piece". It's pretty obvious, they don't. I am a pilot 35 years with extensive experience across all known platforms of traditional aircraft. I have seen things I can not equate to any of them flying at night and day and for that reason I believe we are witnessing the operation of craft not of this world. In recent years I have come to the conclusion that based on Einstein's theory that speed and time are relevant that if space is like a fabric is it possible that a machine moving fast enough could alter or break through that fabric to visit other parallel universes i.e time travel. This lead me to thinking that maybe what we see are actually glimpses of time travellers. It's pretty clear that UFO's are particularly fast. Could this speed alter time particularly if there are windows or tares in that fabric that can be manipulated for the purposes of inter-dimensional travel?? This train of thought came to me after a conversation in 1986 with a fellow pilot who said that he experienced a strange occurance flying at very low level and a high rate of knots in the Australian outback where he and the co pilot witnessed what they believed were Australian aboriginals living in the desert that appeared to be prehistoric in their attire and with hunting implements such as spears. This in more recent times has lead me to thinking that perhaps the EBE's are not coming that far in distance wise but rather dimensionally i.e travelling back in time to us. I flounder in a world of non-believers that there is a cover up and at times feel I am suffering in silence as any mention of this finds me deemed a crack pot by my pears so I suffer in silence. As for trusting a government my question is "Should we ever" they have a bad record for being trustworthy. I think that the fabric of time is not the only thing that could come apart at the seems with full disclosure. The entire social fabric will likely collapse but at that risk I would feel vindicated if it happened just so I could look my detractors in the eye and say "I told you so".

I couldn't agree more that the truth is bigger than we can even conceive. I came to the same conclusion in my own research. But like you said, it can't be kept secret forever, so sooner or later, ready or not, it will come out, and we will know at least a part of it, because most people won't be able to comprehend all of it.

Re kalinin- I have been searching for the truth for over 50 years and have found overwhelming circumstantial evidence that the truth may be even bigger than we can conceive. However, my best evidence is the books written by someone who has written an autobiography of what he experienced as an air force weather observer in the period 1965-1967 who interacted with an ET race he calls "the tall whites". HNe was set up in the boonies near what is now Creech AFB, Nv near area 54. You can believe him or doubt him, but I am a cynical person and I believe him for many reasons, he explains his duties as an observer,working alone when he discovers he is a set up human for these visitors to observe by a group of high USAF generals and is never told anything but others on base are told they may never question him about his duties even though he is not doing classified work.

Charles is a highly intelligent airman who subsequently obtains a doctorate in physics. He really wrote this for his children and grandchildren.

I am an amateur handwriting analyst and find Charles to not be a secretive person but a very open and transparent person from a writing sample. We are definitely not alone. If you are aware of this fact, then you also may wish to read some of the messages that have been channeled from ETs. They are mostly benevolent races that wish to help us in our evolutionary development, but are not allowed to interfere with humans' free will (rules agreed upon by multiple advanced species). We are headed into unexplored territory, but I don't think we have anything to fear from "out there." More to fear from down here where the secrets are being kept. Time travel is possible, because as EVERYONE should know by now, in the 2016, time is simultaneous. All the events of the past, present and future, have occurred already, and are occulting at all times, because there is no such thing as linear time. There is the perception of time, but that does not mean that because we perceive time as linear, that time itself actually exists in a linear way. There is no debate that this is how it works, because many people see the future, and then they change their actions and change how the future occurs for them. Thus, future timelines already exist, but we can change to a different timeline if we would like. This would be a paradox, if time were not simultaneous. But time is simultaneous. Events are simultaneous. Timelines are all simultaneous. We jump from one coordinate to another coordinate in the Matrix of events. This movement causes us to perceive time as being linear. Furthermore, ET contact has been made, and it's insulting to allow people who disregard this fact to enter into the conversation. Do not use the quotes from people who are clearly going along with the "propaganda" and helping to keep people dumbed down and asleep. Do not empower any people, nor ideas which serve to support the present paradigm of lies, which is what we have currently. Any person can have a QHHT hypnosis session and during that session, the therapist doing the session can talk to ET's very easily through the person who is in a Theta brain wave state. I've done it. I've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are not alone. I never had any doubts. It's insulting that we cannot grow up and stop supporting lies.

Not all beliefs are 'the same' as you seemed to imply, I can imagine that UFOs have a multitude of explanations, I am not wedded to government weapons testing, I merely pointed out that that would be logical. The UFO believers on the other hand ARE wedded to the belief that it must be extraterrestrial and NO AMOUNT OF PROOF will convince them.

But let us look at some 'wildly optimistic' numbers around Disclosure:

Let’s make a series of predictions that tell us how likely it is that aliens will soon walk among us (a sort of Drake equation-but more intuitive).

Necessary conditions for ‘full disclosure’:

1. Space-faring aliens exist in our galaxy

2. …and it is possible for them to travel FTL

3. ...and they have located our planet among many hundreds of billions of planets

4. …and they want to visit

5. …and they allow the US government to keep them hidden for ‘a century’ in exchange for…. …sexually molesting abductees (??!?)

6. ..and this secrecy will change because of….. Dr Steven Greer/public pressure, or…????

If we assign the following probabilities to the above:

1. Exist -50%

2. FTL - 5%

3. Found us - 10%

4. Want to visit - 5%

5. US Gov controlled - 1%

6. Change their minds - 10%

….then the probability of a UFO Disclosure scenario is 0.00001% (one hundred-thousandth of a percent).

thanks for the 2 cents, it's certainly a valid point of view.

While I agree that the 'no aliens' scenario is a possibility, I don't think it's a strong possibility. I think UFOs and such is a complex phenomenon that can't be explained away with any simplistic theory, be it "government conspiracy" or "little green men from outer space" or "ancient astronauts" or whatever. At the very least, it deserves thorough investigation. And if your mind tells you that there's nothing there except military secrets, that's OK too. That's your belief system, not unlike those of the UFO believers.

thanks for the tip, I listened to the Steven Bassett`s update on Disclosure on YouTube. From what I understand, he's not the only one saying that disclosure might take place as soon as this year. There's a lot of buzz about it in the UFO circles but nothing's happened so far. We'll see what the near future brings, but I'm skeptical, to be honest.

Comment to those who say life HAS to exist on other planets because of the vastness of space (100 billion stars per galaxy, 100 billion galaxies, 3 planets per star...)

Consider this:

For a monkey to type: “Maybe no other beings in universe” using one key-stroke per second will take the same time as the combined time on all the planets around all the stars in all the galaxies in the universe (4.0E39 seconds or 1.2E32 years).

Given this, is it really improbable that in a mere 1.2E17 years life has only appeared once???

Or to put it in another way: to randomly combine 28 letters to form a specific sentence takes 1,000 trillion times as long as the life of the universe (with one letter per second) – how long would it take to put together any form of DNA??????

Disclosure will never happen - because if it did the UFO believers would not accept it if it showed 'no aliens'.

The governments know this but are not particularly worried, it is a bit like knowing that even IF a government could prove that Jesus never existed true believers would not accept it.

Let's be clear - belief in UFOs IS a religion ! NO proof can convert a true believer. So why should we even try, just use these believers to write off any sighting of a new stealth project as 'extra-terrestrial', that way military secrets are more protected. Hell, the government loves the UFO-crowd as 'useful idiots'......

Listen to Steven Bassett`s update on Disclosure on YouTube. This patient hard working man has spent many years fighting in the political wing for Disclosure. He explains the whole situation from the 90`s right up to today. He says Disclosure will take place this year, he also says this thing is just about ready to blow, and ends up by stating :- "As we get closer to Disclosure expect strange thing to happen."

It is also my hope that people's reaction will be that of awe and social unification, not violence and xenophobia...After all, it's our chance to finally look past our differences and become aware of our potential for spiritual evolution. I truly believe it will be the single greatest moment in human history.

According to my poll - it's a small sample :) - most people think that the social order disruption will be temporary and not nearly as devastating as the government fears it to be. This isn't the 1930s when "The War of the Worlds" radio program sent people into blind panic...We've had almost 70 years to get used to the idea of alien life out there, and the possibility that we may encounter it someday. I'm optimistic :)

My hope is that the reaction would be one similar to that of astronauts viewing the earth from space, gaining a new and humbling perspective, allowing us all to realize that nations, differences, religions, possessions, striving are all false. That's really the only reason I care about UFO disclosure. Of course, I'm probably naïve and the psychological/social result would be devastating!

Who gives damn about our cultural religion beliefes, this things are happening and always will, people are starting to know what they witness in the sky is not from this world, its best to know the truth rather than lie to the world. Am pretty much tired about how religion is important to us if people want to be kind its their decisions, thats why we have laws not to.do bad things religion dosent help, plus I believe in astronomers than the bible, astronmy talks about the universe planets etc. the bible talks about our lives its getting old.
