43 One-Liners on How to Pray for Yourself


Prayer is how we communicate with God and permits God to participate in our lives. Why should we pray for ourselves? to keep us humble on the Almighty God for everything, so there will be no room for pride or arrogance in ourselves. God wants us to express our need for Him in different aspects of our lives. Sometimes we are not sure what to pray about ourselves. Here some one line things we can pray for in various arenas of our lives.

1. God, Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto you. (Ps. 143:8)

2. Lord, That you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2)

3. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that I may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (Romans 15:13)

4. God, May I be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and to experience the peace of God that surpasseth all understanding. (Phil. 4:6-7)


5. Lord, preserve me from all evil, preserve my soul and my going out and your coming in from this time forth and even forevermore. (Psalm 121:7-8)

6. May no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.

7. Lord, Redeem my life from destruction. (Ps. 103:4)

8. God, Be my hiding place, preserve from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. (Ps. 32:7)

9. Preserve me from the violent man, Lord. (Ps. 140:1)

10. Pray That God gives you power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8;18)

36. Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. (Psalm 120:2)- a person who lies is a person who is fearful, fearful of what the truth can do.

37. Lord God, you have given me the tongue of the learned. May I know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary as you waken morning by morning. (Isaiah 50:4)
