Often in life we find ourselves encountering problems that can have a profound effect on our lives and our connection with family and friends. It is sometimes difficult to overcome such problems through worldly means and one has to seek the help and support of Allah (God). As Muslims or non-Muslims for that matter, if you believe in God it is always important to seek His help, we are as humans very week in nature, many people think that they are invincible because in their life everything for a while goes according to plan. One thing that is increasing in society today is the use of medication to treat ill-effects associated with the inability to deal with problems in life, and people then allow that to manifest itself into all kinds of health and emotional issues.
If only people would hand over their problems to Allah (God) and seek His support then they would not feel that much pressure on themselves and through dedicated and devotional prayer many of their problems would be resolved. Listed below are four out of many such Dua’s or prayers that one can find in the Quran, if applied with regularity a person in problems can derive benefit from.
Dua - 1
Impact of reciting this dua: It is known as Durud-e-Ibrahim, we recite this in daily salah and considered the best of all salutations. The person who recites this dua 100 times on Friday will come on the day of judgement with a very great reward. This persons problems like anxieties, sorrows, troubles, helplessness and monetary difficulties will disappear and he will get his desire fulfilled and monetary condition will considerably improve. It needs to recited regularly with conviction.
Prophet Yunus (p.b.u.h) when he was in the stomach of the whale, recited the following dua and he was freed.
Dua - 2
Dua - 3
Impact of reciting this dua:This verse should be recited seven times in the morning and evening regularly, if possible 100 times daily. One who does this shall be protected from all the troubles of this world and the world hereafter.
Dua - 4
Impact of reciting this dua:One’s sins are shed like dry leaves from a tree. At night before going to sleep if one recites this, his sins will be forgiven even though they (sins) may be countless.
I end this hub with the following Our Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam) has said:
“Every Muslim has Six duties to perform for every other Muslim.” And they are as follows:-
1. When he becomes sick, to visit him.
2. When he dies, to attend his funeral.
3. When called for, in a certain calamity, to assist him.
4. When he makes salaam, to reply.
5. When he sneezes, to say May Allah have mercy on you.
6. And to always be a well wisher for him, whether he be present or absent.
“Invite (mankind) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful advice and reason with them
in the best manner possible” AN NAHL 125
Remember that prayers are always answered, but for prayers to be accepted it needs to be done in a manner that is agreeable to Allah. You also need to maintain regularity, sincerity, purity and loyal devotion to Allah and your prayers.
Just because you don’t get the Ferrari you asked for in your prayers it does not mean Allah is not listening or responding, it could be that Allah knows, when you get that gleaming red Ferrari your very first journey down the highway will be your last. With Allah’s mercy he does not want that to happen which is why your desire and prayer for a car has not been answered. Instead the results of your good deeds will be stored for you and become very useful in the hereafter. So do not lose hope in your prayers.

ASA mohammad zaid,
Thank you for reading and the comment on this hub. My dear brother, failing your exams, although it is hard to take is not that bad in the bigger context of life. Allah has bigger plans for all of us, it is just that we cannot comprehend it when it comes to such situations in life, like yours when you have failed your exams, it seems like that worst thing that can happen, in reality though there re many people who are in a worser situation than you. So be patient and continue to pray to Allah.
If you still need to discuss please feel free to email me. Just to put your situation in perspective here's a story:
A man walked out his house going to work, he was walking to catch a bus. Just as he got close to the bus he slipped and fell into some muddy waste, dirtying all his clothes. Upset as he was on missing the bus, knowing that he will be late for work made him even more angry and resentful. He started saying "Couldn't God find someone else", "why does it have to be me" etc.
Complaining in this manner he walked back home and got changed. Ran back to the bus stop and boarded another bus. Ten minutes into his bus journey he saw the bus which he had missed before, involved in an accident, it was totally recked and as he later found out that many people on the bus were dead or badly injured.
Guess what he said after hearing and seeing that bus - Thank God I missed the bus, otherwise i'd be on that bus in that accident.

ASA Seem, Thank you for reading and the comment. I pray that Allah gives you the results that you desire and He gives the best that is good for you.
Since you are awaiting your results the one dua that comes to my mind is:
"Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel."
Allah is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposar of affairs for us.
What an Excellent Guardian and Protector He is!
Repeat this dua constantly until your results arrive.
If you have time then after each Salah recite 100 at least -
La'illah illa antha subhanaka ini kunthum minaz'Zualimin.
Keeping in our mind the reason for reciting the dua.
One other thing you must not worry, do your prayer and handover the outcome of your exams to Allah..repeat it verbally ...
'Allah I have taken my exam and would like to get a good result, Allah for the sake of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), please give me that which is the best for me.'
take care and please do let me know how you get on.

Wa alaikum wassallam,
I hope and pray that you re in the best of health and imaan. Exam times are stressful for everyone, little bit of stress is good and helps you to prepare. However, too much stress is not good, you should have faith in Allah for that which He has ordained fr you will happen. So pray to Him after every Farh Salah and ask Him for that which is good for you. Especially during fajar prayer.
You should also recite dua 2 listed above. After each salah read Rabbi Ziddini Elman 7 times and then read AllaHumma Ajidni Minannar 7 times then complete your prayer by asking Allah for guidance and support in your exams.
Giving money to the poor for a result is not something that is compulsory. You can if you wish pledge to do that, as many people do.
If you need help and guidance in terms of exam preparation you may send me an email and I can forward you link to study sites that may help in your studies.
I pray that Allah makes the preparation for your exams easy for you and that He gives you the very best results.
