What is Faith?
Faith is the confident assurance that something we want to happen is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead... [Hebrews 11:1-Living Bible]
Faith is released by words. Everything exists because God spoke everything into existence. When He spoke it was faith that spoke. Faith by way of the voice of God created everything.
God has given every living thing a voice. Dogs bark, cats meow, birds sing and even plants make sounds as they sway with the breeze. But, to mankind, He gave the ability to speak as He speaks. He gave mankind the ability to release faith.
Whenever we speak out about something that we believe, we are speaking in faith. It doesn’t matter if we are speaking good things or bad things, when we speak what we believe, we are releasing faith for that thing.
Science Backs-Up the Bible
Psychology backs this up by telling us that positive speech leads to health while negative speech leads to illness. Where do you think psychology got that from? They will deny the Word of God, but their scientific conclusions always prove the Word of God.
Proverbs 18:21 [King James Version]
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit there of
Proverbs 18:21 [The Message Bible ]
Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit– you choose
It doesn't matter if we understand how it works or not. Just like it doesn't matter if we understand how rain works. How it works is not as important as knowing that it works and, that all of the words we speak are important.
Be Mindful of Your Speech
If there is a danger in Christianity that danger is related to the things we say. Every human being is created in the image and likeness of God. And, when we speak, we speak either life or death, blessing or cursing, wisdom or nonsense. We take this fact entirely too lightly. We fail to understand the power of our words.
When it comes to faith, I think we get mixed up because of the phrase in the definition that says, 'something we want to happen'. That phrase relates to us. It related to what we want to happen for ourselves. I think there are times when we overstep the boundaries and think that phrase also means what we want to happen for other people.
We may have the best intentions at heart for others, but it is error for us to assume or presume that we know what any other person needs or what is best for their life. But yet, we speak into others destinies as casually as we say, “Good Morning.”
Beware of Christian Witchcraft
I have had many times when someone has asked for agreement in prayer about another person’s life. They want to pray that Johnny changes his mind about being a police officer or that Mary changes her mind about moving to New York, or that an ex-spouse never marry again. All of that is witchcraft.
It is not for us to presume that we know what someone else should do or be. Who knows their story? Who knows what they've been through? Who knows what God's plan for their life is? Friends don't, parents don't, no one but God knows.
I remember being a victim of this kind of witchcraft. I felt this pressure and heaviness all around me. I didn’t know what it was until one day, I was impressed to ask a friend if she was praying for me. She said that she was because she wanted me to leave my church and join hers.
She thought she was innocent. She was not aware that she was praying against my will and praying witchcraft. I asked her to stop and when she did I noticed the pressure lifted.
Witchcraft? Who Me? Yes, You!
If I push my will, my desire, my wants for your life on you through prayer, or overbearing advice then, I am using witchcraft. If I pray against your will, I am praying witchcraft. All forms of control without consent is the action of operating in witchcraft. [Some control with consent is witchcraft as well...]
When I speak, I speak in faith and faith works! Faith works for both the good and for the bad. Faith is neutral it doesn't take sides. Don’t be mistaken, we cannot override a person’s will, but we put spiritual pressure on a person when we pray our will into their lives.
True, we only want the best for the person, but, who are we? How do we know what the best is for anyone? We didn't create the person even if we are their Mother or Father.
Parents Faith for Their Children & Prayer
Our responsibility as parents is to train up a child in the way or direction, they should go... not to try and pick their direction. If you watch a child, you can see which direction they want to go in. You can see what draws them.
And, if you train them up the way the should go than you have done your job. It is not your fault if they turn out to be fools. Not your fault at all! Even if they are fools, the promise is that when they are old, your training will come back to them.
Once they are 'up' you are no longer responsible, and it is time to break the yoke. Time to let them fly. You flew... remember. You had some difficulties, some rough places, but you made it. Your children will too. But we must always remember that the decision on how any adult lives life is always up to them.
Don’t try to use your faith to control them.
Same Thing with Friendship
We must be careful of covetousness in our friendships. People can have other friends besides you. You don't have to poison someone’s ideas about others or manipulate them into feeling like you are their only friend. It is wrong to make them feel like you are the only one who has their best interest at heart. It is all witchcraft.
Whether We Are Conscious of It Or Not - Everything is Done Using Faith
Faith is the force in the Earth that causes things to happen. All acts of control and covetousness are done with a measure of faith. Remember, all faith is not faith in God.
God has given us the creative power and ability to speak in faith. And all speech leads to either life or death.
- Let us all be more conscious of how we are using our faith.
- Let us all practice avoiding speech that tends to witchcraft.
- Let us all stop trying to control or guide the lives of others
- Let us all simply try to desire the best for all those we love, like, or dislike
- Let us all practice moving toward using our faith to reach the destiny God has given us.
