The Glory That Is Yours

Temptation is going to happen, and honestly... How strong of a will does any person have. This can be applied in situations ranging, temptation to flee in the panic of your village being raided and "forget" all about your infant or toddler that is currently in a half/half life/death kind of funk themselves... to temptation to not check spelling, periods ,commas and grammer and etc. (typo) when we're writing or in a rush. Not considering the possible context of specific word structures, lacking of details needed for productive communication through written form.. such as text message.

"As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness; but in the service of Truth."

The temptation to be lazy, the urge to be doing absolutely anything that is currently of less required effort. Temptation tries to bite at our souls through people, things, places and... haha. None of the previously written. Temptation is selfish desire. You need to practice selflessness in order to experience the joy, knowledge, and wisdom that'll come through faith in the Truth; that kindness, love, peace, justice, virtue, righteousness, and truth.. are good..

"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice, with joy unspeakable and full of glory."

— 1 Peter 1:8

The joy that abounds in oneself because of the knowledge that is 'Faith in the Truth' abounds so plentifully due to the experience of witnessing this truth oneself. It's like the feeling of floating or weightlessness that we all experience when we have an epiphany. Fact is that when we resist temptation consciously, whether it's a small or big fish, we are practicing selflessness.

Through practice, you will be enlightened to perspectives not perceived as of yet. Meditation will improve on your knowledge and understanding of ideas like these. Another sad-truth is that most people don't really bother with reaching a level of thought such as this unless they are deprived of themselves and it is initially a coping behavior. Through learning to direct focus from thoughts of desire toward thoughts of a more pure nature, many battles of the mind may be overcome.

I find that faith in the reality I perceive is a significant part of my believing any of it. Temptation to be quarrelsome with reality is a true struggle for me sometimes. I also have to battle the temptation from the opposite sex many times a day because I'm a sexy beast. There is a glory to be realized through the practice of resisting temptation, the joy is unspeakable.
