Praise & Thank God for the Victory!
~ Psalm 21 ~ Spiritual Journey From The Beginning To The End Of The Psalm ~
The Psalm is an extraordinary luminously radiant compendium of spiritual treasures. They contain a marvelous plethora of godly wisdom that will last through eternity. It is sheer Spiritual Food for your soul! A delectable delicacy of mind expanding insight. The Psalm exudes a delightful, spectacular, remarkable, astute intelligence that enlightens the heart and encourages one to want to experience a closer walk with The Lord.
Psalm 21 is an excruciating amazing Celebration of a Splendid Joyous Thanksgiving of Victory. God not only answered David’s prayer but he exceeded His request.
This Psalm is truly a Blessing! The marvelous spiritual journey through the Psalm continues. This affluent spectacular Psalm candidly, poignantly and transparently displays an awe-inspiring strength that comes from trusting in the Lord. David fought many battles in his lifetime and encountered many difficult circumstances! He was a wise and courageous man who loved the Lord. We too can gain an enormous life lesson of great significance when we meditate on the wisdom that he has shared here!
There is absolutely nothing that we cannot talk to The Lord about. God knows our thoughts, motives and actions. He knows why we want what we want. David makes a specific request to The Lord that has resulted in being favorably answered! He immediately responds by Praising and Thanking The Lord for the outcome! With the Lord we are able to go from “victory to VICTORY and glory to GLORY!”
This does not mean that whatever we ask of The Lord, that He will give it to us. Only if it is in His Will. Therefore we pray; Your Will & Your way Lord! It just shows that when we ask something that is in His Will for us He can deliver. We must trust God and persevere. God has promised to supply all of our needs. God truly is Faithful. God does hear our prayers. But we must in turn spend time in His presence so that we can hear Him. Regardless of our position or status in life we can come to The Lord.
What is so amazing is that He knows exactly where we all are… How strong or weak our faith is; and if we really do trust Him. It is the position and posture of our hearts that moves Him most of all! “Without FAITH it is impossible to please GOD, because anyone that comes to HIM must BELIEVE that He exists and that He REWARDS those who earnestly seek Him!” Hebrews 11. This is why a daily ongoing relationship with The Lord is so very important!
GOD wants to be a part of every area of our lives everyday! Did you know that HE is always on time and never late? Why is this; Because He is omnipresent and everywhere we are HE is there. We can call upon Him 24 /7/ 365 days all year long... Truly having the Lord within your life will mean all the difference in the world. Only He can give us HIS peace that surpasses he understanding of man. Commit to being "GOD'S CHURCH EVERYDAY & EVERYWHERE!
Walk in the Light!
David walked closely with the Lord. Within this particular Psalm he expresses his sheer delight. In the prior Psalm he was quite distressed. We can see many facets of David within these Psalms. Here he has begun to fervently call upon the Name of The Lord and beseech Him to intervene on his behalf.
When everything seems to becoming against you and there is no one or nowhere to turn to; know that we too can always turn to God. God has not left us alone to fend for ourselves. Jesus Christ reconciled us back to the Father when He died upon the cross and then arose with ALL Power. There is no other god, power, authority, or principality above GOD. His rich eternal, unlimited blessings are accessible. Not because of who we are but because of who He is! Daily thank God for Christ Jesus. Never take Him for granted for He is always willing to help us! But not do what we think? One must simply humbly submit to His Will and His Way. David’s submission throughout this Psalm is clear. No doubt the Lord’s Favor is upon him.
Faith and Trust in the Lord are so very important!
David was triumphant on many occasions. He knew the importance of spending time with The LORD. Through Jesus Christ we have THE VICTORY! When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior we are given the precious Gifts of Salvation & Eternal life with Him in Heaven. He bestows His Holy Spirit upon us to be our inner Guide and Teacher! He is The Comforter. In The Revelation the Book of Prophecy, John teaches us that in the end “They will make war against The Lamb, but The Lamb WILL overcome them because He is Lord of LORDS and The KING of KINGS and with HIM will be called , Chosen Faithful followers!” Revelation 17. The true meaning of life is all about developing a growing intimate personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ! Nobody or nothing is greater than The LORD!
Book of Praise Lesson Highlights
“A Psalm of David”
Theme: Praising GOD after VICTORY in battle. When GOD answers our prayers for VICTORY, we must quickly and openly THANK HIM for HIS HELP!
David is elated and his heart is full and ecstatic with Joy! The Lord has allowed him to emerge victoriously. His heart is overflowing with delightfulness. David humbly speaks of himself in the third person position although he is the king! He does not attempt to take the credit and acknowledges that the Victory in fact has come about because of The Lord. “O LORD the king REJOICES in your STRENGTH. How great is his JOY in the VICTORIES you give!"
David is overwhelmed by his favor from The Lord. God has unequivocally answered his prayer. This victory was not due to his skill, wit, military power, strategic planning or knowledge but because of The Lord. David is most thankful for the splendor and majesty that The Lord has allowed him to experience! He has once again given David the desires of his heart! Therefore he gives God the Praise, Honor and Glory!
If only the current leaders of this world could camp here and see the immense important significance of acknowledging God as The Supreme Father. There are a multiplicity of examples experienced by the many kings of both their victories and failures... The Word is candid in sharing what type of relationship they had with the Lord.
The Word of God teaches us that Jesus Christ spoke this world into existence. How amazing He became The Word wrapped in sinless flesh. He overcame sin in the flesh for us. He died on the cross and atoned for the sins of the world. In Him we can become complete. "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His GLORY, The GLORY of the One and Only, who came from The Father, FULL of Grace & Truth." John 1. What a turn around we would see in the worldwide turbulence about us. There has been spiritual warfare from the beginning... It is through Jesus Christ we access The Father. We all fall short for Jesus is the only perfect example for the world, However, through Him we can become victorious!
David was a man a person like us. He was a mere shepherd boy yet he became a Monarch that reigned with great power. He humbly consulted The Lord for direction, We too must do the same… God has given us many remarkable examples of his constant omnipresence! He speaks to us via his seasonal and climatic changes that take place all around the world.
The Pandemic Coronavirus is a worldwide dilemma that has caused global concerns for the masses. Hundreds of thousands upon thousands have been impacted... Hundreds of thousands have died. What we see happening throughout the world’s dwindling economy, astronomical unemployment rate, wars as well as break down of family values and relationships. As well as many phenomenal and often severe weather forecasts. Along with the unbearable caloric heat temperatures we have experienced some very extreme devastating fires. Lives have been lost, thousands of acres burned, and homes totally destroyed.
Despite all of this mankind in general fails to acknowledge the Preeminence and Supremacy of our Most High God! LORD HELP US!
One must remember; "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof; the world and them that dwell therein. He has founded it upon the seas..." Psalm 24. Instead, His authority is constantly questioned and his principles compromised. I realize and understand, not everyone believes in God the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But none the less the Word of God is being fulfilled! “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. Many will turn away from the Faith and betray one another and…” Matthew 24.
God and His Word are being pushed aside more and more! Yet our Lord’s return is drawing even closer. No one knows the day nor hour despite the many erroneous predictions. But the signs are clear! The Word tells us “to Keep watch!” The Lord is coming back. But what if He were to call you home today? Are you ready? Well, it is time to prepare! We can learn much from David! He fervently sought The Lord. We too must search for God with our whole heart and sincerely seek for Him above all else. It will always result favorably! There is no opponent that can overcome God! All David had and possessed was because of The Lord’s goodness towards him. “You have granted him the desire of his heart and not withheld the request of his lips.”
History has recorded time and time again the extreme an extensive riches that David possessed within his lifetime. He had extravagant wealth, a crown of pure solid gold, family, fame, talents, status, power and a long life. All magnificent gifts bestowed upon him by The Lord. Yet, his most valuable treasure was the unspeakable Joy that The Presence of The Lord in his life provided for him! “Surely you have granted him eternal life blessings and made him glad with the Joy of our Presence!”
David trusted God and acknowledges Him as The Most High God! At times yes he did falter. He as the king was not ashamed to testify in regards to his dependency upon The Lord. His Love for The Lord was outwardly expressed without hesitation. He did not proclaim his own political or military authority or power. No he acknowledged that The Lord was the center of his life. The wisdom he had was because of The Lord. He was confident in his relationship with The Lord and it secured his throne. Our true “security & significance" can only be found in The Lord! In the Lord you can discover an unshakeable Solid Rock foundation! “For the king TRUSTS in The LORD; through the unfailing LOVE of The Most High he will not be shaken.”
David knew that there were many who plotted against him. He knew that they had conjured up many false charges and accusations against him. He was not at all delusional he was cognizant that they were out to destroy him… Yet, his Faith in The Lord was unshakeable! The scriptures are still applicable today.
It is important to know that whenever you decide to live for The Lord much spiritual warfare will be unleashed against you. The enemy does not want to see us succeed at anything. Quite often he will use those you least expect to attempt to bring you down… He will use anyone who is willing because he so wants to discredit our efforts for the Lord and undermine our integrity. Do not become discouraged! Allow The Lord His place in your life. KNOW With The LORD the IMPOSSIBLE is POSSIBLE! This is why we must learn to Trust The Lord! Our HOPE must be in Him! In His time He will intervene, bring it to the Light and thwart whatever plans that have been concocted against you! GOD WILL & CAN fight our battles!
Begin to allow The Lord to be The Center of your life! He Can and Will transform your life!
Think about all The Lord went through for us when He died such an excruciating painful humiliating death on the cross! Jesus Christ was the only sinless person to overcome sin in the flesh. He died for the sins of the world! Yet, He was rejected, spat upon, beaten, and treated inhumanly. Many at this time were deceived and thought that justice was being served. He was betrayed and some of the very ones he helped and served with Him actually denied Him!
No doubt that David suffered greatly and endured many trials. But Praise be to God, the plans of the enemy was thwarted, David overcame! The Lord many years later overcame as well and it resulted in His VICTORY over sin and death! Today we too can be encouraged and emerge victoriously. Things are not always as they appear. We have been redeemed by the precious Blood of The Lamb. Praise The Lord all the way through whatever is going on in your life knowing that His Word is All TRUE… “Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed; for you will make them turn their backs when you aim at them with a drawn bow.”
This Psalm concludes saying: “Be exalted, O LORD, in your STRENGTH; we will sing and PRAISE Your MIGHT!”

- ~ Psalm 22 ~ Spiritual Journey From The Beginning To The End of The Psalm ~
All too often when things are not going our way we want God to jump right in! But God is not our genie or puppet! Yes! He does answer prayer! But we must in turn petition Him for what is in His Will for us! Spiritual growth is an ongoing process!

MarleneB AMEN! There is "absolutely nothing that we cannot talk to God about!" This is so TRUE! What is so amazing about GOD is that HE is OMNISCIENT! HE knows what everyone everywhere thinks, says and does. This is a bit hard for some to wrap their brain around. BUT IT IS TRUE! "For in HIM we live and move and have our being!" Acts 17:31 We are HIS offspring!" PRAISE GOD! Yes indeed "TO GOD BE THE GLORY!"

I had to nod my head in agreement when you said:
"What we see happening throughout the world’s dwindling economy, wars, break down of family values and relationships as well as many phenomenal and often severe weather forecasts; are a result of mankind in general failure to acknowledge the Preeminence and Supremacy of our Most High God!"
Amen! You know that's right.

His daughter on November 03, 2011:
The Psalms are so refreshing to read as they show how our relationship with the Father can be so honest and real yet respectful and with reverence. We can make our requests known (which He already knows anyway) and submit them to His care and oversight as well as His choice in the way to answer best. God bless for pointing out so many of these truths.

DeBorrah, This is a wonderful declaration of all God has done and still does for us sinners. He is always near and wants us to come to Him with all our hearts desires. When we praise him in song and prayer He hears and answers. The closer we are to God, the more the devil will prey on us and try to lead us astray, but we are protected by the blood of the Lamb. God has promised to never leave us. We may leave Him at times, but He is always there, close by waiting to bring us back into His fold. Thank you so much for sharing. You are blessed in the Lord.
