Introduction-Rudraksha BeadsOctober 4th, 2007

We have been hearing about the sacred Tibetan Dzi which is omnipotent. However, have we hear of another potent bead which is called Rudraksha or better known as the “divine bead” which can change negative energies into positive one.

It is commonly found in Nepal which is called Rudraksha, Bhadrakshas in India and Indrakshas in Indonesia.

What is Rudraksha?

The Rudraksha is really seeds from the Rudraksha tree. The bead’s scientific name is Elaeocarpus ganitrus (Roxb) and it comes in an irregular oval shape with clefts on its surface called “faces”. Most of the Rudraksha’s powers are associated with the number of faces it has. This can vary from one to 21, though four-, five- and six-faceted beads are the most common.

The Rudraksha bead is shaped liked our brain which is one major reason that this bead was recognized by ancient sages and seers in India as a divine fruit.

Myths surrounding the Rudraksha:

According to Hindu scriptures/books like Shiv Puran, Ling Puran, the Padam Puran and others, Rudraksha is considered a gift from Lord Shiva. It suppose to provide freedom from worldly sorrows and impediments and provides spiritual and intellectual growth. It was believed that the bead was created from tears shed by Lord Shiva (an important deity of Vedic age) when the world was facing destruction. The legend says that tears from his eyes dropped onto the ground in different places on earth and produced Rudraksha trees.

Recent researches conducted:

Recent researches confirmed/proven that the Rudraksha has powerful electromagnetic, paramagnetic and inductive properties that vary according to the different faces.

It creates specific electric impulses that are sent to the brain stimulating certain centre that then transfer information to the neurophysiology. This is the main way in which the bead has an impact on the human body.

On the physical plane, the brain is the centre of the energy and power that help control the body by maintaining a correct balance between the various internal organs.

What are the benefits of Rudraksha:

The effect of the Rudraksha is evident after forty days It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi/goddess of wealth resides where Rudraksha is prayed Rudraksha defeats even death Rudraksha awakened the Kundalini within us People who wear Rudraksha are not scared of the God of death Rudraksha ensures longevity and destroy evil spirits Rudraksha ensures child birth for infertile women Rudraksha is widely used by spiritual leaders and those seeking spiritual enlightenment/path , mystical powers and liberation. It is believed that Rudraksha can cures many illnesses including blood pressure and heart diseases. It is said to have electromagnetic power, which affects both the physical and mystical aspects of the wearer. These electromagnetic impulses can affect the heartbeat, blood pressure, stress levels and hypertension on a physical level. On the mental level, the bead’s impulses can relieve anxiety, depression, mood disorders and neurotic conditions, while on the spiritual level, it promotes meditation and enlightenment. Rudraksha regulates and formulates an individual’s consciousness and sub-consciousness and body, and shapes his or her overall personality. Rudraksha is like a transmitter that can tap into the energy fields in a way that helps the wearer to compensate for any energy depletion by increasing energy levels. It is also believe that the person who wears Rudraksha never meets an untimely death and that the Rudraksha provides peace and tranquility.

Wearing RudrakshabeadsOctober 4th, 2007

This article seeks to explain the precautions while wearing the Rudraksha, the ways/suggestions to choose and wear the Rudraksha.

Precautions necessary while wearing Rudraksha

It is important to use a genuine Rudraksha since there are a lot of fake which can be made of cardboards.

It’s important to buy from a proper source A fake Rudraksha will float in water but a real one would settle at the bottom of the water. Do not wear a Rudraksha which has been eaten away by insects and pests Do not wear a Rudraksha which is broken or chipped Do not wear a Rudraksha which was broken while a hole was being made in it

How To Choose & How To Wear A Rudraksha:

Basically, the lighter the bead, the better; the Rudraksha from Nepal that has a natural hole and is brown in colour is highly recommended (The beads produced in India are called Bhadrakshas and they do not have natural holes and the ones from Indonesia are called Indrakshas; these beads do not have easily visible lines.) The bead should be worn around the neck on a gold or silver chain or on a cotton tread. It should hang as low as the chest. Its bead can be imbedded in gold or silver threads. Red colored thread can also be used The Rudraksha must be prayed every day to ensure wealth and affluence The greatest benefit is available to those who wear a necklace of 108 beads Success comes forty days after wearing it on the proviso that full faith must be adhere to by the wearer The best time to first start wearing it is either on a new or full moon day; once you do put it on, do not let anyone else touch it. Keep it in a safe place when not in use. Astrologers say the bead has enormous power to mitigate the negative period in an individual’s horoscope; they will usually recommend an appropriate bead to ease adverse planetary effects. The smaller Rudraksha is more beneficial for meditation and prayers. It is advisable to use the bigger Rudraksha for curing illnesses.

From : StephanieDate : February 2008 Subject : Full benefits of wearing Rudraksha

Hi Everyone,

Right now I have 7 mukhi Kavach, 10 mukhi Kavach, and 11 mukhi Kavach. When I attended my recent Reiki Share my Reiki Master commented that my aura looked stronger and peaceful. I was wearing a 10 Mukhi at the time so I attribute it to that. When I am not doing healing work I wear a 7 mukhi Kavach. I believe that prolong use of the Rudraksha has strengthen my aura.

I want to share an experience about the 7 mukhi Kavach. There was a women that I use to work with, her mother has Parkinson's disease. I told her that I will order a 7 mukhi Kavach. Her mother wore it for more than 6 months. She went to the doctor for a check up and found out the disease started to slow down progressing. This amazed me because her mother was just wearing the 7 mukhi Kavach for good luck.

At the time I did not know the full benefits of wearing Rudraksha now that I learn more I see more results.

Peace and Many Blessings,Stephanie
