Definition of Generation

The word ‘generation’ is driven from the French word ‘Generracion’ meaning ‘giving birth slash a race or People’.

This generalizes to a group the behavior, emotional experience …etc. of a group of people born in a similar geographic, demographic, and cultural environment. By this grouping, the people connect themselves easily and relate directly to the experiences the group or generation has gathered.

Since it is easier to understand and track trends in a group of people by leveling them. The advertisement and marketing agencies first started leveling groups of people as Generations and now the group is more or less established and categorized which shares similar behavior and understandings. From the 20th century, we have evidenced six generations namely

Generation Z (1995 to 2012)

Generation Alpha. ( 2013 onwards)

These ranges are just approximations of actual human generations. Learning from the previous generation, they are more proficient to balance the stuff online and offline be it at the workplace or home.

They consider shopping, as a social experience rather need. They are concerned more about the services and convenience of shopping. Gen Z is impatient and intolerant than older generations. They have a different set of jokes and ways of making humor and fun like memes culture.

The Generational groupings are just an arbitrary barrier to categories and simplify the combined experiences and behavior of people born in between a particular period in a demographic region. However, the social, cultural, economic, and technological advancement plays a crucial role. It may be seen in one generation is sharing the characteristics of two generations of different places

Secondly, the generation Alpha had its birth in developed countries like the UK and the US but in most Asian developing countries, Gen Z is the youngest generation.
