Bold and Beautiful!
Nothing says spring or summer like a vibrant and bright color combination like fuchsia and orange (or pink and tangerine). These colors are perfect in an outdoor setting like a garden or beach wedding. And if you'd like to balance out the vibrant colors, you can always add some black accents on the wedding accessories, bridesmaid dresses, and even the cake.
Finding great decorations for this color combination is a breeze during the summer months...paper lanterns and bouquets made with Gerber daisies are some of my favorite reception accents. Below you will find suggestions for incorporating orange and fuchsia in just about every aspect of your wedding.
Have fun and dare to be different!

Orange & Fuchsia Wedding Inspiration Board
Get Inspired To Have A Bold & Vibrant Beach Wedding!
I recently found this fuchsia and orange inspiration board at Here Comes The Blog and I have to agree with their contributor (WeddingBlogger) about how perfect this color scheme is for a beach wedding. Like WeddingBlogger, I am normally a fan of the typical ocean blue or neutral sandy colors for a beach wedding, but the above inspiration board showed me just how lovely this color combination can be in a beach setting. Simply gorgeous!
Fuchsia Wedding Stationery
Find The Perfect Invitation!
Give your guests a taste of the vibrant celebration to come by choosing the perfect orange and fuchsia wedding invitations to introduce your style and color scheme to the guests. Be sure to carry that same style and font through to the other wedding stationery such as the envelopes, thank you notes, wedding bulletins, etc. You can even find orange and fuchsia custom imprinted beverage and luncheon napkins at online retailers such as Wedding Favors Unlimited.
Amazon has a wide range of do-it-yourself wedding invitation kits that incorporate a fuchsia color scheme. Check out just a few of the possibilities shown to the right. I also found one of my favorite invites incorporating a fuchsia and tangerine color scheme from Modern Girl Invitations. See the design in the photo below.
Finding wedding accessories in a true fuchsia and orange palette can be difficult. Some online wedding shops do sell either orange or fuchsia ring pillows and flower baskets, but unless you see them in person, it can be difficult to make sure that the colors match perfectly (there is always variation in hue from one vendor to another). One option that I love is buying either simple white or ivory accessories that feature colored ribbon accents like the custom two color ribbon accessory collection shown in the photograph. You can buy this wedding accessory collection from Wedding Favors Unlimited with any combination of ribbon colors that you like so it is perfect for just about any color scheme including orange and fuchsia. Collections are great because you can be certain that all of your reception accessories such as the wedding toasting flutes and cake server set will match with the ceremony accessories such as the ring pillow and flower basket.
A Gorgeous Fuchsia & Pink Beach Wedding!
Getting married on a beach in Hawaii is the ultimate fantasy wedding....when I found this photo of a Hawaiian beach wedding from Aloha Island Weddings (www.alohaislandweddings.com), I just had to share it with you. As you can see in the above photograph, the sand "aisle" is covered in orange hibiscus and pink plumeria flowers. It leads to a bamboo arbor that is covered in sheer rainbow colored fabric. The chairs are tied with fuchsia colored sashes and orange bird of paradise flowers line the aisle as well. What a romantic and gorgeous setting for a wedding!
Wedding Favor Boxes
In addition to orange hibiscus, pink plumeria, and orange bird of paradise, you can utilize pink and orange Gerber daisies as accents in your wedding favors and accessories. The lovely favor boxes shown to the right are available from MyWeddingFavors.com. They feature standard white 2" cubed glossy boxes that are embellished either with tangerine or pink silk Gerber daisies along with color coordinated organza ribbon.
Another great wedding favor box option are the mix and match boxes from Wedding Faovrs Unlimited where you exchange the lids and bases to create a combination favor box that has either a fuchsia base with an orange lid or an orange base with a fuchsia lid. Fill them with your favorite candy or trinket and you'll be all set.

Decorating for a pink and orange wedding can be quite fun because you can use all the vibrant and bold colors available at party supply shops. A few fun ideas include using orange and fuchsia chair sashes on white chairs and/or orange and fuchsia table runners atop crisp white table linens. For the centerpieces, fill glass vases with limes or orange clementines and water. Then add your favorite fuchsia and orange flowers such as hibiscus, Gerber daisies, roses or birds of paradise. Using paper lanterns in a tangerine and bright pink color scheme lends itself perfectly to the décor for a garden or outdoor wedding. Oh my, this would have been a fantasy wedding for me as a kid. Every freenhand coloring I did was with orange and bright pink (a little yellow thrown in too). Gorgeous.
