Long-Term Relationship: What is missing?

We tend to forget the importance of having a partner who encourages us in our sacred purpose and calling.

While maintaining the understanding that one person can’t fulfill all of our needs all the time.

Yet, our long-term partners must be sensitive and able to sense where our pain, suffering, or unhappiness lies and allows us to be vulnerable.

In the perfect world, it would be ideal that both of us are invested in our work, to have the time and space to pursue our calling with the same devotion. Bring a mutual understanding that the relationship won’t always come first.

Why should either of us feel that need to become a caretaker? Or become codependent! In a relationship, both parties should be able to pursue their goals in and outside the relationship.

Maybe, this is magical thinking! But this quality should be present in a serious relationship. This will allow us to feel supported and help the relationship last long-term. Which brings confidence into your relationship about a future together.
