In most of the cases people blame the victim. The peom below describes the suffering of victims as the people kept on saying "Deal with it".
"Deal with it"
- she was flawsome & beautiful “FLOWER” when they plucked her ruthlessly,
Her petals were damaged, her leaves were abusively detached & her soft thorns were broken. Her soul was scattered by wind & chirping birds, Water does not nourish her anymore...
They chok her weak stem & chain her soul. She started to fall down in mid flight.
We kept her in broken vase, Watering a dead plant & said "Deal with it".
- She was fierce & wild “BIRD” when they cut her bright wings unmercifully,
Her bones were cracked, her feet were tied.
She sings with a fearfull trill. She stands on grave of dreams. Her shadow screams loudly & her eyes were full of tears.
They hold her so tight & now her dream died.
We kept her in a cage with shattered wings & said "Deal with it".
- She was pure & guilt-free “GIRL” & they filled her frail body with bruises,
They threw her into a wall & started to beat her insensitively. They molested her inhumanly & it still haunts her. Her pretty face was filled with scars.
She was soaked in fear & dipped in defeat. Her screaming mouth was choked by violent kisses. Their touch was worst then knives & blood, smoke & ash, damage & death....
We gave her sores, pain & nightmares. Her feeble body was bait for violence & we keep saying "Deal with it".

It is very much necessary to understand the balance of gender and sexuality between women and men at all levels of society. In many countries women are considered as inferior and there is a strong belief that men are superior to them. Many of us are also responsible for this because we have forgotten the respect for women.
Changing people's attitude and mentality towards women will take a long time. Nevertheless, raising awareness of the issue of violence against women, and educating boys and men to view women as valuable partners in life, in the development of a society and in the attainment of peace are just as important as taking legal steps to protect women's human rights. The terror of physical assault not just hinders with the freedom of women but it also increase their dependency on men.
The examples we set for the younger generation shape the way they think about gender, respect and human rights. It is time for us all to end violence against women and girls and these requires collective efforts of government, educators, health-care authorities, legislators, the judiciary and the mass media.

This is a very well written article. I agree with MsDora the topic is painful. I covered a topic named Violence in Relationship few days ago. You did it very well, I appreciate your efforts. This is a very uncomfortable topic, people don’t like to talk about it and I think this is the main reason, it’s too common in our society both in east and west.
I hope we together can make a difference
Blessings and Peace
