1. Using Words Like "Greed" Or "Socialism"
This is a kind of pot calling the kettle black and it tells you a lot about the way that society really feels about you.
By using words like "greed" or "socialism," you are equating yourself with a lifestyle that many people don't really want to be associated with. You are being discriminatory in the most negative way possible. In this way, you are saying that others who have a similar lifestyle to yours do so because they are greedy and/or misguided.
These are actually very offensive and dismissive words, and it makes people lose respect for you.
2. Trying To Make People Feel Bad For Doing Something That Offends You
This is a very aggressive form of negativity that many people use. If they see someone do something that offends you in any way, you will take it as an invitation to make a negative comment and to make them feel bad.
If they are out in public and you see them walking down the street, the first thing that you will do is check to see if there is anyone else with you. This is because you don't want them to feel bad and you are trying to make them feel as though they should feel guilty.
You are taking it as an invitation to tell them that they are doing something wrong. You are taking it as an opportunity to project your own anger and frustration.
3. Telling Your Sister That She's "Pathetic"
When you call your sister "pathetic," you are suggesting that she is weak. In this way, you are saying that she doesn't have what it takes to make it in the world. She is only good for the most basic of needs, and that is why she is completely unable to accomplish anything else.
Of course, it is much more than that. This is not something that you should be saying to anyone unless you want to take the relationship to a whole new level of toxicity.
4. Using Ridiculous Terminology For Basic Everyday Things
If you call the simplest of daily actions such as eating or sleeping "vain," then you are not only insulting your sister but you are also demeaning yourself.
It's not a big deal if you are bored or if you have something to do. However, you should use your own intelligence and take the time to figure out how to turn that energy into something worthwhile.
5. Using Treats As A Guilt Trip
If you tell your sister that she shouldn't feel guilty about what she is doing by calling you a pig, then you are actually using a guilt trip. You are insinuating that you should feel bad because you are being a pig.
You are using this guilt trip to get her to do things that you want her to do because she is unable to do them on her own. This is incredibly petty and immature.
6. Saying Something About Someone Who Has Not Met You
If you call someone a jerk because they are not nice to you, then you are setting yourself up as the judge and jury. You are telling them that they have no right to judge you.
By using these harsh and insulting words, you are saying that you have the right to be untouchable and that you have the right to be rude.
7. Telling Someone That You Don't Care If They Are Happy
This is a very sexist way of saying that you don't care about anyone else's happiness. When you say something like this, you are implying that others do not exist for you to be happy.
You are saying that you want to go around making other people happy because it's the most important thing to you.
8. Saying "Have A Nice Day"
If you tell someone "have a nice day," then you are telling them that they do not have to engage with you at all. You are saying that you don't care if they want to have a conversation with you. You are saying that you don't care if they even want to see you again.
You are telling them that they are not important enough for you to give them a good old fashioned "good riddance" or "fuck you."
9. Telling Someone That They Don't Like You
If you tell someone that they don't like you, you are being completely rude. If you are pointing this out, then you are saying that they are too stupid to know the difference between good and bad. You are saying that they are unable to discern when someone is being sincere or when someone is being fake.
You are saying that they do not have the intelligence to make a good decision. You are telling them that they do not deserve to have a good life.
10. Telling Someone That They Are Stupid
This is one of the most insulting things that you can do to another person. It is both condescending and highly insulting. You are saying that they are stupid. You are saying that they are not capable of making good decisions. You are saying that they are not as intelligent as you are.
This is rude and incredibly degrading. If you say this to someone, they are not going to forget this. They will replay this insult over and over again in their mind. You are literally telling them that they are less than you.
When you have the opportunity to speak with a person that you love, then you need to understand that the things you say to them have a direct impact on their happiness.
11. Saying Something Mean About Someone You Don't Know
If you insult someone because they are mean to you, then you are actually insulting yourself. When you insult people that you don't know, you are taking the people that you are actually closest to and you are saying that they are not worth caring about.
You are setting yourself up as the judge and jury. You are saying that people that you are close to are not good enough for you. You are saying that they do not deserve to be treated like a good friend or a loved one.
When you insult people, you are essentially saying that you have a problem with your own self worth. You are saying that you are wrong for what you are feeling. You are saying that you deserve to be treated poorly.
There are many ways that you can hurt your loved ones without even realizing that you are doing so.
