Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on December 03, 2009:

I agree with Hanna Bambina,

Just being best friends (as well as lovers) covers all kinds of territory...not to diminish your list of ideas which are also good ones to keep the sparks flying. :-)

Hanna Bambina on November 20, 2009:

be each others best friends is the best tip! xxx Hanna

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on September 16, 2009:

Kebennett1-Sounds like you do a lot of things to make your hubby feel special. That's great! Thanks for reading :)

Kebennett1 from San Bernardino County, California on September 15, 2009:

This hub is great! I write notes and leave them in my husbands lunch box. I write notes on the bathroom mirror in lipstick or eyeliner pencil. I call him when he is about to get off work occasionally, at 2:00pm and ask him to join me for a late lunch (he eats his at 10:00am is always hungry again!) for just the two of us! Time alone is hard to come by. We take care of my parents who live with us. We also have an older disabled foster daughter and a 17 year old niece who live with us! A bath for two is a must for what we call our down time alone! It is where we discuss our day. Talk about anything and everything and a lot of decisions are made. :) The bed is for sleeping and making love! Otherwise we are both so busy we don't have much time to talk alone.

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on August 07, 2009:

You can never go wrong with roses :) Thanks for reading, Florist!

Florist_Singapore on August 07, 2009:

very creative indeed, a bouquet for red roses can do a great deal too

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on July 28, 2009:

Thanks ZW!

ZealousWriter on July 27, 2009:

Very Creative! When I first clicked on yours, I was expecting to see a page full of "I Love You's" in 100 languages like my own, this is so neat. :) Great!

ShawnH on July 25, 2009:

Thanks Shawna. Very kind words.

God Bless!

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on July 25, 2009:

ShawnH on July 24, 2009:

Hey Shawna,

I am putting a link to this post in my blog. I hope that was ok. If not let me know and I will remove it.

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on July 08, 2009:

So what if you're a weird guy? I'm sure some women would kill for the attention and affection you give your wife! Keep on loving her just like you have been :)

Robert E Smith from Rochester, New York on July 05, 2009:

shawna, I do so many stupid things to show my honey-pie that I love her. I have put notes on the computer. I have dropped by her work just to give her something cold to drink. I gave her one flower at a time and never let it die without replacing it. I did that for years until she told me to stop. I have made a complete ass of myself to win her heart just about every day of our marriage. I guess I'm a weird guy.

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on June 17, 2009:

I'm sure she would love that!

Dennis Ebris from Florida on June 17, 2009:

This hub is just a sweet little idea! My wife loves jigsaw puzzles! Maybe tonight I'll try and pick up a small one we can work on together :).

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on February 12, 2009:

Thanks Gillsie-I'm sure you'll come up with the perfect Valentine's idea! Enjoy the Valentine weekend.

Gillsie from Oregon on February 11, 2009:

Very good ideas, you took the eight I had in my head and expanded it greatly!

Now....where to begin??

Mom on February 08, 2009:

What a lovely way to share ideas for Valentine's Day, and for every day of the year. I love you. Mom

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on January 30, 2009:

Haha! See, I didn't even know it was a movie :) I'll have to WATCH The Rose then. Thanks!

Constant Walker from Springfield, Oregon on January 30, 2009:

Shawna, it's a movie, starring Bette Midler, loosely (very loosely) based on Janis Joplin.

shawna.wilson (author) from Arizona on January 30, 2009:

SH-yes, I made the list myself.  Once I got to number 70 or so, it was pretty hard to think of the last 30!  Thanks for reading :)

Constant Walker-Who doesn't love to be in love? :)  I'll have to read The Rose.  I never have.  I appreciate your comments so much.

sgjerome-I'm sure your wife will appreciate whichever display of affection you choose to show.  Happy Valentine's Day!

Mahmo-it's the simple things that really make a difference in my life.  My husband doesn't have to do anything huge, just small things here and there to show me he appreciates me. Thanks!

Constant Walker from Springfield, Oregon on January 30, 2009:

Just realized I misquoted that line. It's "I love to be in love, don't you love to be in love?"

Mahmo on January 30, 2009:

GREAT  IDEAS ! how one misses  these simple to-do acts with their great meanings !

Constant Walker from Springfield, Oregon on January 30, 2009:

PS: You're opening sentence reminds me of a great line in The Rose, "Oh, I love to be loved, don't you love to be loved?"

sgjerome from Singapore on January 30, 2009:

Great hub it give me some ideal to express to my wife how I love her

MellasViews from Earth on January 29, 2009:

Tis a very sweet Hub, I must say. Puts me in tha valentine day romantico mood. : )

Constant Walker from Springfield, Oregon on January 29, 2009:

A lot of good suggestions here. When I was almost 21, my fiancée and I used to have fun by putting on each others' undies and then modeling them. It always made us laugh and was a sure-fire turn on!

Sexy Health from Portland, OR on January 29, 2009:
