United States Has Harsher Sex Laws Than Any Other Nation Does
Not All American Sex Laws Are Fair, And Not All Criminal Convictions Are Just
The Travesty Of American Sex Laws
If you live in the United States as I do, then you'll know that nowadays every time that you turn your television set on to a news program, there is always a story about someone being arrested on charges of some kind of sexual misconduct. The news media will shove the cameras in this suspect's face as the police are hauling him or her away in handcuffs and he or she has their head bowed down in embarrassment.
If you are someone in the United States who still reads the newspaper, you will not be able to read it from beginning to end without running into a story of this same nature. The journalists covering these stories have even gone as far as publishing the addresses of the suspects.
The Internet doesn't show any more mercy to these suspects. The Internet is inundated with such stories. You can't even go into YouTube or any similar media platform without seeing thumbnails for videos of online sex-sting operations here in the United States or in Canada. It's as though American society has become obsessed with sex scandals of a criminal nature.
If any of you out there who are old enough to have lived in the 1950s think that the Red Scare was bad, nowadays innocent people are going to jail and prison for sexual offenses that they didn't even commit. If they did commit them, they're getting lengthier sentences than people are for dealing in drugs or even committing murder.
Now, don't get me wrong. I am someone who wants the authorities to lock up a dangerously violent criminal and remove him or her from society for as long as they can. However, it offends me when there are police who break the law themselves to set people up for them to arrest for something that they didn't do.
Entrapment Defense In American Sex Cases
Norman Michael Achin is the name of a former schoolteacher whom the police wrongfully railroaded in an online sex-sting operation that didn't even involve a real underage victim. He has a YouTube channel named I. C. A. C. Unpacked in which he shares information with the public about corruption in the American criminal justice system and the court system concerning the enforcement of sex laws.
Below are two videos that Mr. Achin posted on his YouTube channel about how the American courts habitually ignore the entrapment defense in criminal cases that involve online sex-sting operations. These public servants merely play by their own rules and ignore the statutes on the law books that are supposed to protect the rights of each and every individual who has been charged with a sex crime.

American Sex-Offender Registries Vs. Foreign Ones
There is another gentleman named Steven Robert Whitsett who fell into similar circumstances as Mr. Achin did. Mr. Whitsett is currently residing in Germany and has received full legal protection from the German court system against extradition back to the United States for an administrative infraction in his compliance with his sentence.
Below is a video that Mr. Whitsett posted on his YouTube channel in which he demonstrates how the sex-offender-registry laws in Albania are much more reasonable than they are in the United States, and they don't have as many requirements as American ones do. Mr. Whitsett is opposed to sex-offender registries, but he does commend the Albanian government for not misusing their sex-offender registries to violate people's human rights.
Steven Robert Whitsett Explains How Albanian Sex-Offender Registries Work
Mr. Achin lives in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Whitsett is originally from Florida where he had to serve time for his conviction of a sexual offense based upon allegations that were frivolous and malicious in nature. Both of them believe that their respective home state jurisdictions have the harshest sex laws in their birth nation. However, I believe that the sex laws stink to high heaven everywhere in the United States.
Bringing about reforms to the American criminal justice system and the American court system is easier said than done and will require a great amount of effort. Meanwhile, I believe that it never hurts for us to raise public awareness about these same injustices going on within the United States.
The American prison system has grown way beyond its maximum capacity. We don't need any additional innocent people to be locked up.
Each And Every American Deserves Equal Justice.
Final Thoughts
Every time I come across one of these miscarriages of justice involving American sex laws, you better believe that I am going to be publishing an article about it. These types of incidents get my blood boiling hot with anger.
Prison conditions are already disgusting enough in the United States. It is appalling that innocent people are being locked up for crimes they didn't commit or are being sent to jail or prison on convictions based upon trumped-up criminal charges. Somewhere this all needs to stop.
Public awareness is a powerful weapon against these same miscarriages of justice. It is the job of our elected officials and public officials to investigate these matters and discipline the bad actors who abuse the system at the detriment of vulnerable civilians. Join me in my journey to fight injustice by keeping the public informed.
