The Illusion of Good vs Evil
I hear a lot of people say that they choose policy over character or integrity. In my opinion if you do not have integrity (which then means you lack character), policy means nothing because you cannot be trusted. It means you are far more likely to make decisions that are beneficial to yourself than others. It means you are ok with lying and manipulating and hurting others to get what you want. It means you see yourself above others. It means you lack compassion for those that are hurting. It means you care very little about fairness and making ethical decisions. It means you don't take responsibility seriously.
Throughout his life, Trump has been saying mean, disgusting, angry, degrading things about women, people of color, immigrants, injured military vets, and even captured soldiers, while he tries to limit the LBGTQ+ community, and everyone who he views as beneath him, or who does not agree with him, so how can I possibly trust him to lead our country that was started from, protected by, and is amazing because of, the very people he mocks and despises? Even more disturbing to me, is why are some of the very people he mocks, limits, and degrades voting for one of their abusers? Why do people see him as some upstanding Christian man when he breaks most of the 10 commandments and acts nothing like Jesus did? Don't people value themselves and this country and their faith?
The monumental job of being the most important leader in the world is not a joke! Our country isn't another show of "The Apprentice". If Trump does half of what he publicly says he is going to do at his rallies, we can't just hit a button and cancel the show! I hate to think about what would have to happen to stop Trump if he's elected and refuses to follow our laws, continues to ignore the constitution, ignores the warnings of long standing, knowledgeable and respectable professionals around him in times of emergency and war, and acts like a foolish child in front of international leaders and the American people who desperately need stability and unity at a time when the world feels like it is on the brink of war.
Policy, law and our constitution mean absolutely nothing if we have a dishonorable, disrespectful person in charge of it all who has a history of hiring a staff of people who have little to no integrity to "help" him. Those that do have integrity stand up to him, only to get fired, lose their careers and get knocked down, setting a precedent for a future that tells our kids and future leaders, that only dishonorable, manipulative, disrespectful people will succeed in this country. That should be terrifying to people! Why are so many people ok with this??! Would you want to work with a boss or co-worker that talks and behaves like Trump? People that behave like Trump are the type of people I try my hardest to avoid. These are the type of people I will not hire or create friendships with. These are the type of "men", I personally would never go on a date with and would block from my phone. These are the type of people I would not trust in my house or to help with my children. These are the type of people that have no right to lead a country as wonderful as ours because they don't see all the beauty in our country and within all its people because they only see our country as a self-profiting, money making, fame building, business networking, machine. Trump and people who behave like him, will only pass policies that will improve their lives because they will always come first. If you happen to stand under the same umbrella as Trump you might benefit, but the majority of Americans are wandering around trying to learn how to dance in the rain.
Those that know me, know I'm all about unity and love, but how can I or anyone else unite with people who lie, cheat, steal and bully others to get ahead in life? I will find love for people like this, because I believe there is good in everyone, but I will love them from a distance. Let's love Trump by putting him back in T.V. shows where his vanity can shine and he can get his ego stroked like it desires, but far away from our White House where his ego blinds him from reality. I don't want a notorious liar, who can't give a unifying, respectful, intelligent, speech to save his life, who has had over 4,000 lawsuits in his lifetime, (most of them before he even ran for president), who cheats on his wives and can't admit defeat, or his mistakes, and who fires all people who disagree with him, as our president. How are the words that he speaks and the long history of his shady behavior not a HUGE red flag to more people?
Aren't we all trying to teach our kids to live with integrity? I know I am, which is why I want a president who has strength of character that I can actually let my children watch with confidence, knowing they will be watching someone who is a positive role model, who has a unified vision of America, that my children can learn from and admire in many ways.
I get it, Kamala is not perfect, no president is. You might not agree with some of her policies, and I totally understand and respect that, but when you compare her to Trump as far as integrity and strength of character goes, there is no contest, which in my opinion, automatically makes her the best choice. After Trump’s most recent rally in New York, if the hate and discrimination that he breeds isn’t clear to everyone, it never will be, and in that case, my heart breaks and I cry tears of disappointment and sadness for what America has become after everything our ancestors have died fighting for.
If Harris tries to pass a bill or policy, but the majority of the American people cry out, protest and disagree with her, she will listen. She can admit when she's wrong. Her pride does not blind her from reality. In fact, I guarantee she will sit and listen to anyone who respectfully disagrees with her, and consider their feelings when making decisions, because that is what a person like her, with integrity does. Her behavior and speeches lift people up and are unifying. She is intelligent, confident, compassionate and strong. She listens, she cares, she makes mistakes, but she learns from them and improves. She can communicate clearly, passionately and wisely so we won't be a big joke to international leaders. She is not hot-headed and will lead with patience, while she uses both logic and her heart to make decisions. She will do her best to protect ALL Americans, even those that differ from her. She will be the protective mother that America needs instead of a president that is full of hate, arrogance and greed.
