Will the Real Joe Biden Please Stand Up

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

Carbon Copies

Who is this guy, once a Senator, then the Vice President Of The United States and now running to be President of the United States?

I do not recognize him.

Well, of course I recognize him; he has been a part of the political scene, for as long as I can remember, somewhere around fifty years.

I do remember saying, more than once over the years, that he may be liberal, but not quite as out there as many others that would come along.

He never seemed to just fall in line with his party, he’d occasionally make a fuss, but, was it for show?
I just don’t know...the Real Joe.

I have never considered him a blue dog Democrat, like say a Joe Lieberman, but he was a lot closer to Joe’s philosophy than say a.....Bernie Sanders, or so I thought!

Nowadays....I cannot tell where Bernie ends and Joe begins.

I don’t see any break, when Elizabeth Warren trails off and Joe picks up.

One Democratic contender is a carbon copy of the next and of the next and so on...

Although I do realize how far left this political party has strayed, I’m still shocked with some of the things they are doing.

Such as...unanimously raising their hands when asked if they would provide illegals with healthcare...yes even Joe Biden’s hand went up.....just not as high or as enthusiastically as the others.

Stand up Joe

When they were on stage for the debates, I was constantly reminded of that kid in middle school, that could never be topped {yes, this is where my mind goes, especially while watching real yawners!}

You know the guy, the girl, maybe you are still friends with them...maybe it was you!

If your Mom got a new Ford, her Mom was getting a Cadillac.

If your Dad was grilling hamburgers, his was grilling steaks.

If your family was going to the beach or camping, their family was going somewhere much more exotic....

You’ve got the picture...

This is how I see these carbon copies, these Democratic contenders.

They are on the stage trying to one up the one next to them and trying to outpromise the competition; those to their left and those to their right (to their right, only happens on stage)

The problem is, the cost of all of these “one-ups”, these gimmes, is astronomical.
The problem is, this Country can’t withstand cradle to grave caretaking for individuals that are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves and their families.

The problem is...it isn’t doable!

Many have been brainwashed into thinking they can’t make it without the Gov, but we on the right, conservatives, believe in them and we know better, even though the Democratic Party does not think them capable!

I have to wonder, did these candidates hold any core values at some point in their lives?

Before Politics?

Did politics change them?

Was the Joe Biden of the past, who seemed to have a core belief system and, at least, came across as a true patriot, genuine Joe?

Was that all an act?

Will the Real Joe Biden please stand up!

Narrowing the field

There were a few moderate contenders, comparatively on the Democratic side -

Tim Ryan, Tulsi Gabbard, John Delaney, all occasionally made sense, but then, because they did...they were immediately dismissed.

We were told that they were the lower tier, non-serious contenders, didn’t really stand a chance, etc.

Was that because they occasionally made sense, may actually have held some core values....and that’s a no-no with today’s Democratic Party?

Therefore we shouldn’t take {the lower tier} seriously?

They don’t stand a chance in today’s Democratic Party -

Is that how it works?

As we moved forward...half of the Country did get behind one of these Democratic candidates.
They gravitated toward, supposedly the more moderate, more centrist, but still...a carbon copy, Joe Biden, he is their pick!

Do core values have any place within the Democratic Party?

Is that considered when Democratic voters are placing their vote or is all about who is promising them the most stuff?

Does that really matter to them or is it all about their political party...they worship the party, it’s all about the party and so, they will go with the one they feel is most capable of keeping their party front and center, in the D.C. pulpit, so to speak?

Joe Biden has won the nomination, I guess we will find out...where it goes from here.

Which Joe Biden will we get...which one will face-off with Donald Trump?

The left is doubling down in their attempts to blame our President and those of us who support him, for the crazy individuals who carry out these horrendous attacks. The Democratic contenders for President are certainly doubling down, taking full advantage of any and all tragedies, because they lack SUBSTANCE! I take back any kind word, I may have ever had for any one of them, they are pandering opportunists and they make me sick!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 05, 2019:

No worries, the party never ends...;). My granddaughter starts Kindergarten this year, so her Mom is doing all of that running around stuff. Of course I had to buy her a few things too!

Oh my gosh, it has been crazy and this blame game business is out of control, I expressed my thoughts a few posts back, so I’ll not go into it again.

As for Joe, I agree, he’s a character alright!!!

Shannon Henry from Texas on August 05, 2019:

I'm a little late to your party here, Angie. It's been a crazy weekend. I don't think the bad news is ever gonna stop and just like in real life where it's happening in the midst of pressing things that must be taken care of, such as back to school activities, including things like marching band and sports and registering kids at three different schools. . . bad news just keeps on happening when life must carry on. And then politicians turn it into their latest politial agenda example before even addressing the actual tragedy itself.

As for Joe. . . he's always seemed more of a background character to me. I don't know why, but he just never really stood out to me Why should he stand up now? LOL

And don't get me started on the health care for illegals when too many Americans don't even have health care now.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 05, 2019:

I am all for the human race.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on August 05, 2019:

I noticed our discrimination today. It is simply not right that we discriminate against AOC because of her age. She should be able to be eligible to run for President. Should Joe? Did Obama make it OK for my 9 year old mixed race son to run for President. Hmm, an Asian American could solve all our Chinese issues with Asia -- oops. Chinese and Koreans hate Vietnamese.

So Joe should be elected because he cannot remember who we are fighting against. "Are Iran and No. Korea the same nation?" "Can Hillary be my running mate?"

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 05, 2019:

While the worst of the worst make the news, we must hold on to the fact that God is in control and remember, 'What a Wonderful World' he gifted to us all.

Good points Angie. Let's have a look at the parents. Can parents be accessories through neglect? I know that is absurd but it makes the point. "Filters". We are raising children who get all offended instead of filtering out bullshit and letting it go right by.

Can I label "fake" news as accessories also. This over dramatizing creeping into our lives in order to sensationalize and keep up with action adventure movies or the latest divorce. Guised as fact without adult clarification.

Parents and "news" are it, if anyone other than a mentally ill person is to be "blamed". OK maybe a shrink who over or under prescribed.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 05, 2019:

I’m stressed this morning watching the news of these shootings, we have two young men with ONGOING issues, throughout their lives!!

Of course some form of mental illness is present, (NEVER properly dealt with) along with the injection of all the wrong things (garbage in, garbage out) into their systems, which allowed for evil to fester WITHIN THEM!

But, the blame game, the calling out of our President for this. The old “guns must go” argument from the left, because they don’t get it, they will never get it. They grasp at straws, throw out crap they know nothing about and prove to us YET AGAIN, ONCE MORE....that they are clueless and incapable of leading themselves, much less anyone else!

My heart goes out to the families of all affected by these horrible events. God be with them.

Suzie from Carson City on August 04, 2019:

Oh..it's OK, girlfriend. I've grown so accustomed to stress, I don't know what I'd do without it!! The libs have created a whole new world filled with stress junkies!!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

Sounds as if you need to see the movie too, it will be good for a belly laugh.

I will try to come up with something less stressful to write about next time. :)

Suzie from Carson City on August 04, 2019:

I never saw that movie, Angie. Lately though, I have felt like I've had a few week-ends in La La Land, due to the political stories continually circulating & the Comedy shows, aka the Democratic Debates.

And just think, girlfriend~~ it's only Aug. 2019! We have at least 15 more months for the craziness to grow and seep into our lives like a thick, toxic fog. Wow...I can't wait. How about you?? Zippity Doo Da!! Such fun!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

LOL Paula, you've reminded me of the movie, 'Weekend at Bernie's', I need to find it now and watch it...just for kicks.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

Agreed Eric, there is a time to take away the keys and that time comes sooner for some than for others. Poor Joe has absolutely nothing going for him and if he ever did, he lost it somewhere along the way.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on August 04, 2019:

Paula, last time they tried pushing a gal who fell down a whole lot and forgot her lines and this time a guy who has a different line every hour. It actually worries me about the end of (at least) the two party system. Well at least they have the deep and yet not deep at all, but shallow deep state.

I am not a strict party guy ( OK I still strictly party but you know what I mean )

Has the "squad" and California and NY really got them this messed up? I have long understood that Americans tend to vote against and not for. But yikes you at least have to have a real candidate. I say repeal the age criteria and let AOC run for giggles.

Suzie from Carson City on August 04, 2019:

HUH???!! What do you mean, Angie?? You mean, there really IS a Joe Biden??! A real one??

So, that's not some creepy old head sniffer, they picked up off skid row, suited-up and stuck up on a stage?? You're kidding!

Wow, the liberals sure do like to FOOL the public with daffy individuals who can pretend to speak & make faces, smile real big and "touch" people.

I hate to disillusion them but his acting & emoting is over-the-top.....and the poor schmuck screws up his lines an awful lot. I tell you, those lefties will stop at nothing to pull the wool over the eyes of the dumbed-down public. He even spews the same lies & phony controversies the looney left has been pushing for years, just to garner votes. Nice try, you slippery devils but the informed American is on to you!

Amazing!!

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on August 04, 2019:

AB no ill feelings at all and I think I got your point. But as great as intentions are paving the way to hell. We have to take the keys away at some point. Joe's actions speak of his dotage. It is like he forgets what he said yesterday. Normal. But not normal for a 60 year old.

All the talk of Biden and our refusal to label him way to old is sad. It is like we cannot offend old people by pointing out the obvious. The Dems simply will not run a one term president.

Heck Reagan was 74 on his second term. And no way would have won at 78.

So I figure they may put Joe out there to deflect and then see who does well. But know way we vote a 78 year old into a first term.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

Hi Vivian, but they do, people do put their trust in them and they do it over and over, expecting different results? Expecting them to keep all of their promises.....this time around?

Look at the Democratically-controlled inner cities, they are continually failing and yet, the people...keep putting the same Democratic ‘leaders’ back into office. It is mind-blowing to me.

Candidates, like Kamala and Joe know that they can be “fickle” and change as often as the wind and they’ll still have support.

Vivian Coblentz on August 04, 2019:

AB,

Yes, it's disgusting to see the Left all falling off the cliff, one-by-one, as they try to shift their positions further and further to the left until there's no place left to go but down.

While most of us change our opinion on certain things as we mature, we still cling to core values. No one in the Democratic party maintains the same position for five minutes. Kamala Harris is one of the worst when it comes to flip-flopping. They are tossed by the waves and so ungrounded....how can any one of them expect the public to put any trust in their fickle positions? Every single one--totally unstable.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

Eric easy now, you may have misunderstood the intent of my comment. I am not saying that my Grandpa could have or should have been President at the age of 100, I am saying that what is at one’s core matters more than their number of years on this earth.

Do you disagree?

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on August 04, 2019:

AB you may be delusional. An 80 year old cannot be as sharp as a 65 year old. But you are buying the notion that we cannot discriminate. Do not mention age? Oh my you may be an age bigot. Your 100 year old was not as sharp as the tack he was at 70. Get over it.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

I would have to agree with you Pop. It really is sad!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on August 04, 2019:

Hi Eric, my Grandfather lived almost 100 years and he was as sharp as a tack, until the very end. I have no problem with age, I’d just like to know, at the very least, that our leaders know what their core beliefs are.

breakfastpop on August 04, 2019:

Uncle Joe is and always has been whatever the moment calls for. I have no idea if he believes in anything, but staying in power. His cup is empty.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on August 04, 2019:

One of my favorite things is time. But I just know that Joe is too old to do two terms. And that is an anathema for any party. Perhaps a running mate will cure that, perhaps not. You just cannot march into office at 78 and come up again at 82+.

People discriminate against me all the time because of my age. (I just look old)

Joe has no long term chance. The Dems cannot beat Trump in this go around. Economy is the marker for a second term - see Taft, Hoover and Carter and Bush. So the dems must go with a candidate for 2014. End fighting is good for about another 6 months, maybe less but it does not matter unless the economy tanks, so 2014.

Joe will go with the dump.
