What We Learned in 2022 Should Have Made Independence Certain

In 2022 we learned that the ruling classes, the political class in particular, ignore the rules they laid down for others.

In 2022 we learned that our beloved Prime Minister, the womanising liar had held staff parties while the plebs were watching their loved ones die, through windows.

The English voted for him in 2019. Because he said he would “Get Brexit done”.

Johnson’s supporters in parliament calculated they were more likely to lose their seats if they unseated him.

A civil servant was tasked with carrying out an inquiry into whether the Prime Minister had attended a party in his own house which he later admitted attending but claimed he did not know it was a party. Then everything went silent.

In 2022 we learned that the Metropolitan Police, who had fined a man for playing football with his son on a deserted pitch, investigated the Prime Minister’s rule breaking party at the same time by sending him a questionnaire.

Londongrad and Tory contempt for the middle class and poor

In 2022 we learned that London and the Tory party were largely in the pockets of Russian Billionaires. Because they are Russian, not American or British they are known as Oligarchs. London should be renamed Londongrad or Moscow-On-Thames

In 2022 we learned that Russia had owned the Tory Party since 1989

In 2022 we learned, or rather had our noses rubbed in the fact that the powerful held everyone else in contempt.

In 2022 we learned that the plebs would have to pay for the money created to handle the coronavirus pandemic.

And still the Eglish would vote for the Tories.

In 2022 we learned that the government would write off more than £4 billion pounds of money spent on fraudulent contracts. The poor would make up the gap.

In 2022 we learned that Leave voters would ignore all this because the Prime Minister had “Got Brexit Done”.

If she were white she would have been free in a week.

In 2022 we learned that a woman who had been falsely imprisoned in Iran for 6 years as ransom for a £400 million debt the UK owed to Iran, dating back to the year Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister, had been released almost immediately after the debt had been paid.

In 2022 we learned that this debt had been paid almost certainly because Russia had invaded Ukraine resulting in economic sanctions against Russian billionaires who had not had the foresight to donate a few million to the Tory party and buy a few ministers at the same time.

And the poor will pay for Tory corruption

In 2022 we learned that the UK government was, under threat of US sanctions, taking measures to clean up the rampant corruption that had permeated the UK financial system in the way oxygen permeates the air. These measures included a register of overseas property held by British citizens. The EU plan for more transparency over British holdings in tax havens in the form of a register of overseas property held by British citizens coincided with an intense media campaign against EU membership and is arguably one of the main drivers of Brexit.

In 2022 we learned that Russia had sought to influence the Brexit referendum of 2016 and there are hints it had also influenced the 2014 independence referendum to deliver a NO vote. Perhaps it also influenced the 2019 general election.

And still the Eglish vote for the Tories.

In 2022 we learned that electricity prices were allowed to soar whereas in the EU energy prices had been capped at much lower levels. Since the UK Energy industry is almost entirely owned by foreign corporations, some based in the EU, smaller companies, presumably English owned were allowed to go bust, the British public is subsidising the hit foreign companies suffered when their greed was capped.

The UK has become a corrupt Kleptocracy and Scotland must escape

Very few of the things we learned in 2022 were new, they had simply been ignored by the mainstream media for decades though smaller publications had mentioned them frequently and been ignored.

And still the Eglish vote for the Tories.

Perhaps it is because they view the tories as the sort of chancers and fast talking con men they would like to be. Perhaps it is because they believe, despite the evidence the Tories have their interests at heart. Or perhaps they believe the right wing media and the BBC who claim the only alternatives amount to socialism, an ideology anathema to both Tory and “Labour” parties.

Who the Gods would destroy they first send mad.

Hopefully Scotland will become independent before then.
