UFO disclosure is about an evolution of consciousness, not little green men.
The buzz about the possible second Clinton presidency has reached the UFO circles. The rumor is, if elected President of the United States, Hillary Clinton will continue her husband's efforts to gain access to the classified UFO files, and to finally disclose what the government knows about the issue.
Totally Unofficial Voting Poll
Could Hillary Clinton Be the Disclosure President?
Admittedly, commitment to transparency is not one of Clinton's many impressive attributes.
While she possesses both professional competency and personal charisma needed for a leader, she will always protect the interests of the powers that be over those of the people.
The UFO disclosure is not in the interests of the American government (as an entity run by various clandestine interest groups), and Hillary isn't exactly a rebel with a cause.
She's also not someone who personifies the ideas of world peace and environmentalism (and no, these are not hippie code words for "I hate America"). As the US senator and the former Secretary of State, she proved to be just another warmonger, like the rest of them.
As for the fact that Hillary Clinton is a woman (allegedly), and therefore warmer and fuzzier than her average male opponents, that's reverse chauvinism. Being a woman doesn't make you better or more qualified to run for office.
Just like if someone is half-black doesn't mean they're going to be any better at resolving the racial inequality issue in America. All presidential candidates promise real change, but most fail to deliver.
Yet...Hope Springs Eternal
Several prominent UFO advocates already threw their support behind Hillary: both Stephen Bassett and Michael Salla spoke out optimistically about Clinton's future efforts:
"I think Hillary would play a positive role in getting this information out. I think that Hillary definitely is much more the pro-disclosure candidate, whereas someone like Jeb Bush is basically status quo."
Their optimism is not entirely unfounded.
Clinton and Rockefeller in 1995
The Clintons and the Rockefeller Initiative 1993-1996
The Clintons always had an avid interest in the subject of UFOs.
In his book "Alien Bedtime Stories" Grant Cameron quotes both Hillary and Bill discussing the possibility of alien life (or alien threat) frequently and passionately. Sure - in a very hypothetical, almost mockingly silly way. Still, the subject seemed to be on their minds often.
Hillary, together with multibillionaire UFO researcher Laurance Rockefeller, was pushing for access to the classified UFO files back in the 1990s: a campaign known as the "Rockefeller Initiative". She even helped Rockefeller draft a letter to the President, advocating for the UFO disclosure.
In 2005, when asked about what he knows on the subject, Bill Clinton admitted that their efforts were not successful:
"I wouldn't be the first American president that underlings have lied to, or that career bureaucrats have waited out."
At one point Clinton even said:
"there’s a government inside the government, and I don’t control it."
Perhaps, the next Clinton president might learn the truth and disclose it to the world. It's a long shot, but lately there's been some progress in the UFO disclosure movement. It came in a frivolous form of a 'tweet' from one of Obama's top aides.
John Podesta: #thetruthisstilloutthere
In February 2015 Obama's Senior Adviser John Podesta tweeted this after resigning from his position:
"Finally, my biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files. #thetruthisstilloutthere"
Why is this important? For a number of reasons.
- For one, Podesta (who was Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff and a long-time proponent of the Disclosure) directly contradicted an official White House statement on the subject.
- Two, no other high level member of the administration has ever made similar statements about the truth being "out there" so publicly, and so unequivocally.
- And three, Podesta is said to be the chairman of Hillary Clinton's upcoming presidential campaign, and one of her closest advisers who she describes as an “indispensable man.”
"We ought to do it [UFO files disclosure] because it's right, because the American people quite frankly can handle the truth, and we ought to do it because it's the law." ~ John Podesta
What could be more paradigm-changing than the discovery that alien life exists, and that it's been engaging humankind since the dawn of time?
Hillary Clinton (along with Bill Richardson and Dennis Kucinich) is considered one of the top pro-disclosure candidates by the UFO proponents, and she does appear to have an "ET connection," or at least an avid interest.
However, you have to question her dedication to the cause and how she plans to achieve what the Clintons tried and failed to achieve in the 1990s. In Dr. Steven Greer's words, they had “a pass at it and didn’t take it.” What's different now?
Besides...isn't the more pertinent question: Are we ready for the UFO Disclosure?

It is time for disclosure, If this upsets some crazy religious belief system well tough!

"I did not have sexual relations with that extraterrestrial alien."

Bernie will include the alien-abled in his administration. No life form will be left behind, even green bug-eyed monsters from Alpha-Centaurus.
Lana Adler (author) from California on January 02, 2016:
That's a very interesting question, Mel. I've never heard Bernie talk on the issue, and Internet search of Bernie Sangers + UFO disclosure revealed exactly zilch.
I think since Bernie is pro-transparency, he would push for disclosure if he came across some classified information. However, his very silence tells me it's not the issue he regards to be of high importance. Happy new year!!!
Doris James MizBejabbers from Beautiful South on January 02, 2016:
Mel, I love you, I love Hillary, and I love Bernie, but believe me, "there is a government within a government" and it would not hesitate to take Bernie's life if he tried to release what is that highly classified. I think Bill knew and he shut up to live. If he shared it with Hillary, so did she.
Mel Carriere from Snowbound and down in Northern Colorado on January 01, 2016:
I'm surprised I missed this one. Do you think Bernie would be the full disclosure guy if he won, or do you think the reality is too frightening to release to the public? Interesting speculation. Whether there really are aliens or not, I am sure there are weird secrets are government has that would blow us away. Great hub! Happy New Year!

No doubt Hillary takes time out from pondering UFOs to wonder if her email server is secure.
Lana Adler (author) from California on October 05, 2015:
I agree with you - I doubt that the government will ever disclose the truth. It has to come from another, perhaps more trustworthy, source. It's such a complicated subject - it all depends on how it's framed and unfortunately, governments are known for twisting the truth to favor their own agendas. Thanks for reading MizBejabbers!

"there’s a government inside the government, and I don’t control it."
I believe this is true. I don't think any president will be able to make a disclosure unless a UFO lands on the White House lawn and little green men get out and meet the press. I think Bill knows, and he has probably disclosed it to Hillary, who, in turn, won't be allowed to peep a word. I've known Bill since I was a news reporter in the 1980s and if anyone could get the information out, he would have been the one. I think this is tightly controlled by the CIA, and if not them, someone else as powerful. Good hub.

Well, maybe Australia can lead the way? Any major nation's UFO files disclosure will do ;) Thanks for stopping by Suzanne, and for voting!
Suzanne Day from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on April 23, 2015:
Yes, I'm with everyone who wants to know what is in the UFO files, would make for some great reading! However, as I'm in Australia, I'm unlikely to be able to swing a vote for anyone at this point. Let's hope those files get opened up! Voted interesting.
Lana Adler (author) from California on April 16, 2015:
Thanks! In all honesty, I feel conflicted about Hillary (most liberals do). I'm all for women in power, but I'm not going to support someone based solely on their gender. Like I say in the article, I believe she is competent and charismatic, but I also think that she's awfully cozy with big corporations and the military-industrial complex, and she did vote for the Iraq war back in...2002? I wish Elizabeth Warren would run, but she's pretty adamant that she won't.
Larry Rankin from Oklahoma on April 15, 2015:
I'm a staunch Hillary supporter. Never understood the negativity, besides certain people are just terrified of a women coming to power.
As for the UFO files, I think most people would like to know what the U.S. Knows. It's probably less than conspirators think.
A fun and entertaining article.
