Has He Hit Bottom?
Probably not; but you can bet that things are only going to get worse for him, as his former supporters realize that he lied about representing the middle class, and his "promise" to build the wall at Mexico's expense. And, now, we have the Russian connection to his advisors and cabinet members, as testified to by former FBI director James Comey, . According to Newsweek's article of June 10th 2017 "A survey released Thursday by Investor's Business Daily/TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence (IBD/TIPP) found Trump's approval stood at just 37 percent, down 2 percentage points from last month. Just 36 percent of respondents said he was a strong leader, while only 37 percent gave him a positive grade on immigration, one of the issues around which Trump built his campaign."
So, many people are having thoughts, even dreams, of impeachment. However, there are some problems with that. First, there is the fact that the GOP controlled Congress will never approve it, if they even take it up as an issue. They continue to protect him from the people who can change the course of our government, and the progressive press and media that report the truth.
Secondly, there is the issue of who would replace him. Mike Pence is, indeed much more intelligent and well-spoken than Der Trumpfenfuhrer. But, and this is a big one, Pence is a radical right "Christian" who would strip every right we have worked hard to gain during the Obama years. He and his Tea Party ways would be a disaster for American government. Even if something were to happen to him while in office, next in line is the equally radical rightist, Paul Ryan, who has continued to push the issues, not only of basic human rights, but who has helped Congress strip funds from important social programs. Programs that, in one way or another, benefit the shrinking middle class, and diverting those funds to corporate welfare and higher profits for the Military Industrial Complex.
So Where Does his Popularity Actually Stand?
According to 538, a poll-collecting site that aligns itself with no political dogma, As you will see, he has fallen steadily every single day of his time in office. If not for the aforementioned replacements, this would be heartening to any progressive person in the country, and even some of his former followers. Alas, we are basically caught in a Catch 22 of politics. Once again, the powers that be have left us no room to attempt to effect change. No climate change improvements, no Paris Agreement, no tax breaks for the middle class, no social programs and the list goes on. The Kochs, and their ilk, have won this round.
Where Do We Go From Here?
There are two things that will hopefully move us back in a forward direction again. First, the 2018 elections are going to be heating up soon, with new candidates being offered up by the non-traditional parties, to start to clean house on Capitol Hill. Our job is to help those candidates to victory, by any means necessary. Get involved. Disseminate real information, even to those who won't listen right now. Eventually, they'll get it, as the congressional cuts begin to affect them in ways that they never considered when they supported the extreme right.
Second, in 2020, it will be the time to send the message that we will not bow to the 1% ever again. Who will lead us then? There are several choices that will, most likely, be the ones to follow. If he decides to run again, the natural choice, the true choice of the people in 2016, is Bernie Sanders. Even if he himself doesn't run, there will be others that he will support; others that will be part of Democratic Socialist idealism. There are possible running mates, or presidential candidates in the case of him not running, among progressive Congresspersons. The first to come to mind is Tulsi Gabbard, who has proven to be a true champion of the people. Next, Elizabeth Warren, the Senate's watchdog, who fights tooth and nail every time the GOP tries to circumvent governmental rules. There will be others who are not necessarily knows to us as yet. The people will rise and effect the changes that must be made in order to survive as Americans.

You would think I would have caught that, considering I ended up having to vote for her, rather than my true chosen candidate.
