Newly elected US President Joe Biden has said that his term will not be like that of former President Barack Obama. He says times and circumstances have already changed a lot. Incumbent President Donald Trump has changed a lot in America.
Biden made the remarks in his first television interview since winning the US presidential election. He gave this interview to NBC News' Laster Holt on Tuesday.
Biden was a two-time vice president under former President Barack Obama. Breaking a lot of tradition, Obama went straight to the polls and worked for Biden. So many think the Biden administration will have the influence of former President Obama.
Biden said in an interview that there was no reason to think his term would be Obama's third term. That will not happen. Because the world has changed. President Trump has left America alone, saying he wants to do "America first." He has changed a lot in America.
Biden said he would take steps to reform immigration within 100 days of taking office. He will send a bill to the Senate to pave the way for more than 11 million undocumented immigrants to obtain citizenship in the United States. The Civil Incentives Act will be passed within this period.
Biden has said he will rescind hostile executive orders issued by President Trump.
Asked whether he would investigate the Trump administration, Biden said no. He said the judiciary would not be used like Trump.
Biden said he would take the American people seriously.
In an interview with NBC News' Laster, Biden said he has not spoken directly to Trump since the election.
But Biden said the Trump administration is keeping in touch with his transition team. He spoke of his administration's initiative to get an intelligence briefing.
Democrat candidate Biden received a letter from the federal agency last Monday, almost three weeks after the election, in preparation for the transfer of power.
Despite losing the election, President Trump has been trying to manipulate the results. He went to court but lost.
Trump continues to cause unprecedented events in the history of the United States. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture. He also announced that he would not accept the results any day.
According to tradition, Trump has not yet congratulated the winning candidate. He is no longer expected to do so.
According to the constitution, the formal transfer of power will take place on January 20. There is no problem with Trump not being present in the process of handing overpower. However, the absence of the outgoing president in the official turn of events is also unprecedented in American history.

It's true, Trump did change America a lot. The thing is, he changed it for the better. And now Biden is going to come back in and screw it all up again.
