Feminists; the Ultimate Fail

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

The word 'Toxic' comes to mind.....

This article was intended to be about the old-fashioned concept of boy meets girl, traditional marriage, child-bearing, stay-at-home Moms, working Moms, who stays with the kids...

The thought of that “old-fashioned concept” took me off in a completely different direction, straight into the world of feminists and how destructive that has all been.

The word toxic comes to mind; hmmm, where have I heard that before?

Well, I am taking ownership of it now!

Once the subject of feminists came to mind, it took me back in time, to where it all went south and so very wrong for all of us, Roe v. Wade.

I went back to review articles I’ve written on the subject of abortion.

While doing a little tweaking on them, one in particular, all about how Oregon became the most pro-abortion State, via the ‘Reproductive Health Equity Act of 2017' and wouldn’t you just know it...

In the midst of revisions on this article, of all articles, in earshot, a news story about the State of New York gleefully joining in with Oregon, choosing to allow for babies to be aborted up and until birth, for any reason.

That wasn’t all that was within earshot.

States, such as what my State of Florida is attempting to do, in quite the opposite direction, working toward passing ‘Fetal Heartbeat’ laws, for laws such as this, they are being stopped dead in their tracks, by activist judges!

So now where do I go with this?

Since this does all go hand-in-hand, I will allow this to go exactly where it is taking me!

Femininity and Motherhood

Most women cherish being women.

Most women cherish men!

Most women cherish motherhood and the thought of bringing new life into this world.

All of this, may come as a big and unwelcome surprise to may, in fact, be a big shocker, but right now, there are many women searching for the man of their dreams, hoping to eventually settle down and by God's grace, eventually start a family!

When that time comes, these women may choose to be stay-at-home Moms, giving up their careers or they may continue in their careers. That will be up to them and their spouse to decide.

Scroll to Continue

There are many women doing that today.

They are working for a living, nose to the grindstone, they are not man-haters, hate is not something that resides inside of them.

There is no room!

They do not go through life, living to destroy another person's life, they just want to be good at their jobs and then go home to their families at the end of the day..... and to be even better at that!

These women exist and they are not going away.

These women aren't activists, they aren't toxic feminists, they are women very comfortable in their own skin and secure in their feminism. They are comfortable with motherhood or the idea of motherhood, whether that will include giving birth or adopting an unwanted child, they'll embrace it.

The loud, dysfunctional, angry, activist toxic feminist is the one cutting off her nose in order to spite her face.

The toxicity, the poisoning... sometimes takes it toll quickly and other times, it can be a long drawn out process.

The saddest part is that the ones doing this to themselves, poisoning themselves, are often the only ones not realizing it.

We've all seen the outbursts during events such as the Women's March on just how toxic they can be.

We see younger women and little girls (some so young, they've no say) partaking in the kool-aid and we weep for them.

I weep for them!

There is so much to cry over when witnessing some of their outbursts, some of their signs, some of their attire....

It goes far beyond the pre-born; those innocent lives dismissed, presented as a death sentence, eagerly eliminated in what should be their Safe Zone...their Mother's womb!

The ugly tentacles that fester and grow out of these events; these marches, these hate fests, stretch far and wide and they enter into the minds of lawmakers, (unless they were poisoned long before becoming lawmakers) convincing them to pass laws to eliminate what has been perceived to be the problem, an innocent babe in the womb.

More laws come, not to protect the innocent babe, but to ensure they have no rights whatsoever and are not worthy of any form of protection.....not from them!

I'll not end this with ugly images, but rather with what I see as rebirth, in all of these beautiful faces, many young faces among them, at the most recent March for Life event.

These young people, both male and female, are not afraid to take to the streets; not in acts of hate, ignorance and resentment, but rather in acts of love; love for people and a love for life, beginning at the beginning!

These are the faces I'll choose to focus on, these positive messages are the ones which give me so much hope and make me smile.

Whether you believe that we are all made in the image of God or that we all magically sprung up out of pond scum, I believe there will be an accounting, someday.

  • Romans 14:12 - So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

Fortunately for us, God knows us better than we know ourselves and our bite is rarely as bad as our bark, sometimes we just get caught up in the crazy and in way over our heads!

Life is so short, too short to spend so much time hating and looking for new ways to destroy people’s lives or to destroy brand new life.....

LIFE is meant to be lived and all lives really do matter.

Let's embrace what that means for each one of us, each unique creation, today...for we aren't guaranteed a tomorrow.

It does appear that way Leland!

The time has come for those who want no part of any of this, who up until now, have turned away, pretending not to see, to condemn the actions of their Party and run away as fast as they can...but will they?

Leland Johnson from Midland MI on February 26, 2019:

Funny you should mention that. After reading Goldhagen's book I see more and more correlation between dems and nazi's and believe me, I don't toss the comparison around lightly. I actually believe dems are worse in a sense if you can believe that. Nazi's only wanted to kill Jewish babies, dems want to kill them all.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on February 26, 2019:

I wonder.....are those who condoned, endorsed or (if I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, turned away, pretending not to see) what the monster, Hitler did to the Jewish people and those who condone/endorse or turn away, pretending not to see what today's monster, abortion on demand/infanticide, does to the most innocent among us, a baby.....much different?

My mind is beyond boggled, it is blown, with this latest move by Dems, blocking a law to save the life of a baby which has survived an attempted abortion.

Leland Johnson from Midland MI on February 26, 2019:

hi AB- My wife actually intercepted the book and so I'm not quite finished with it yet, but yes its really good. I'm finally finishing a book by Jonah Goldhagen called "Hitler's Willing Executioners" that has been a real challenge. Goldhagen makes the case that Germany was essentially fine with Hitler's plan to annihilate the Jews. Many of the guards in the death camps were actually police officers, not SS men as I'd thought for so long, but just regular Germans who wanted the Jews eliminated. It's sobering, challenging, and disturbing. In a way I'm glad to be moving on because the descriptions can be very graphic and it boggles the mind that people could've been (and many still are) so cruel to other human beings. It's the same with abortion though; the baby has to be dehumanized in order for people to kill it in good conscience. Too bad most people don't realize that the word "fetus" is Latin for offspring, or children. Maybe if they did they'd stop talking about babies like their clumps of tissue. Glad you unspammed me :)

Leland, I never received notice of your last comment, it was labeled as!! I am so sorry. This happens quite a bit and it really bothers me that it does.

I am sure you've finished reading the book by now? What did you think?

I am definitely planning to see the movie.

Thank you for the follow and for your kind words.

“The devil is always trying to upset the apple cart of God’s design”, such a powerful truth.

I too need some free time to catch up on many articles which have gotten past me.

My children are all grown up now, but I have grandbabies which I cherish and spend as much time with as I can.

I run a small business with my husband and that keeps me busy. I look forward to the day when I have more free time to focus on my writing and doing more reading and traveling. That’s the goal!

Have a wonderful day!

Vivian Coblentz on January 26, 2019:

Great article, AB. I can't wait to read more of your hubs soon when I have a free moment. I am a stay-at-home mom, and I love every minute of it! I can't think of a more "feminine" role! I have a bachelor's degree and had a great job. When our first child was born, I was fortunate enough to be able to quit, and I've never looked back. The devil is always trying to upset the apple cart of God's design. Although there is nothing wrong with a working woman, the militant stance the feminist movement infuses is abhorrent. Men are constantly degraded and attacked for just being men as feminists try to step on them and rise above them. Feminists become man-like as they try to force men into a more feminine role. This is out of order!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

Amen Leland, great advice.

I am trying to remember that I ended this on an upstroke and focus on the positives, but all of this is weighing heavy on my heart.

It will do me well to accept your great advice.

Leland Johnson from Midland MI on January 24, 2019:

Great points in this article AB. Men and women both would do so well to go to God's word for cues as to how we should function within our respective roles, how we can grow, bless others, develop into what He intends us to be. Sadly, as with so much wrong in our country and the world, the media has the ears of both men and women. I like the way you ended on an upstroke. Thanks for writing another winner!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

Thanks Paula. Hopefully I will spawn more tornadoes! :)

I don't feel so energized right now, as more and more comes out about this Bill which just passed (which got a standing ovation!)

Trying to focus on the positives, but right now, I'm just sad.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

Thanks Pop!

Suzie from Carson City on January 24, 2019:

Angie...Another superb article shedding much-needed light on some of our most important issues. You are like a tornado, girl.....I'm amazed at your energy & tenacity. It's movers and shakers like you that get the attention and concern so focused on what matters in our country.

Just as with so many movements that often begin with good intentions, the Fem movement has gone way too far....out of whack entirely. To see this active and sincere group of young women involved in The March for Life is so encouraging, Angie. Thank you for bringing this news to your readers.. Peace, Paula

breakfastpop on January 24, 2019:

And I appreciate you, ab.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

Hi Pop, this is one of those articles where I felt as if I went in too many directions in attempting to express what 'feminist' as come to mean to me. Don't know if I ever got there.

They are "sick and twisted and loud", but we'll just have to be LOUDER!

I'll not be silent, that's for darn sure.

Thank Ladies, I appreciate you both!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

It is sick stuff Shannon, no doubt.

breakfastpop on January 24, 2019:

There is a growing culture of hate in our nation, and the world. Feminists, in particular, have evolved or should I say devolved into man hating, life destroying lunatics. They have also embraced anti-semitism just to make their position even uglier. I want to believe that they are a sick twisted minority who are just louder than the rest of us. I hope I am right. This was a great article, ab.

Shannon Henry from Texas on January 24, 2019:

It really just leaves me speechless. Who the hell would celebrate a thing like that, especially on a memorial for a loss of life! It's so much more than ironic. Makes me both sad and angry. :(

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

Trust me, I've searched for the right words. :(

Shannon Henry from Texas on January 24, 2019:

I don't even know what to say to that. Maybe ironic, but that's not the first set of words that come to my mind.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 24, 2019:

Just heard that sacred ground, One World Trade Center, was lit up in pink to 'celebrate' New York having no limits on abortion.....just think it's ironic, that's all!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on January 23, 2019:

I agree Shannon, there are many things worthy of fighting for and many that aren’t able to fight for themselves, we must fight for them.

As for the extreme fringe, they that get all of the attention of the media and all of the headlines of the day, fighting for such unworthy things, they provoke me to my core.

Shannon Henry from Texas on January 23, 2019:

There's so much wrong in the world. I couldn't begin to try to pinpoint where it all went wrong. I mean, looking through history regarding women.... wanting and fighting for a right to vote - not a bad thing, asking for equal pay for equal labor - not a bad thing. . ..But sometimes people do take it all to the extreme. I've always considered abortion murder. I realize there are times when it is medically necessary, but this "my body, my choice" crap rubs me the wrong way. I say, your body, your choice NOT to have sex or to use protection knowing it could fail....and you face the consequences. Maybe that's just my very unfeminine opinion. Never considered myself a feminist, anyway. Just a person with opinions like everyone else.
