The greatest orators of the 21st Century:

White House of the United States:

White House of the United States:

The greatest orator of the 21st Century:

[Obama, the President of US]

Looking to the drop in popularity after the defeat of sustaining a pivotal Senate seat in Massachusetts, Obama appeared to address the State of the Union to regain his status as the supreme commander of the Super-power, where he explained the economic status of US before and after one year of his presidency and stated the immediate and future steps in a courageous art of decency of oratory under an atmosphere of repeated applauses. Americans were annoyed as because industries were shut down and jobs become scarily to get. Obama pushed job creation to the top of his agenda and vowed not to abandon his struggling healthcare overhaul. Obama committed millions job shortly as the first priority and an indirect dictum to American industrialist to set up Industry in America giving employment to American citizen. This was a befitting address with powerful eloquence to console and satisfy the angry citizen.

What Obama committed:

(i)          An ambitious plan for financial reforms,

(ii)          Millions of job for Americans in short term as well as in long term,

(iii)        Industries in the United States giving employment to Americans,

(iv)        Industries for enhanced export,

(v)         Continuous attempts for energy and climate change,

(vi)        Effective health care,

(vii)      Return of American soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan,

(viii)     Education to American student for learning English and math’s with efficiency,

(ix)        American effort in the eradication of HIV, AIDS in any other country,

(x)         Restriction in the nuclear proliferation in N.Korea and in Iran under International bindings.

President said he would slash tax breaks to American firms that move jobs abroad. “To encourage business to stay within our borders, it is time to finally slash the tax breaks for companies that create jobs right here in the United States of America,” Any Head of a political party will think first for the well fare of its citizen. America is a Democratic country; a country can not jeopardize the individual’s liberty as granted by the constitution. America is a country of industrialists. As the President will look after the well fare of the mass people, an individual industrialist will look after his industry and company first and then the fellow members. If the expansion of the industry gets confined, he would be restricted in recruitment. After globalization the situation of the every part of the world is changing rapidly. Companies are at liberty to establish their industry in the place of their choice for the sake of industry to enhance business and indirectly to push the economy of the country if not directly, without confining the industry in any localized centers. Obama is right to say- India is not stopping by, China is in the stream of progress and West Germany had already stabilized by creating manufacturing industries, then why America will be in stand by? It is most logical, but one should not forget that US of America is confronting two wars simultaneously to defeat the perpetrator of 9/11 attack over US. It was possible only for no.-1 country America who had the courage, strength and finance to take revenge. President Bush vowed to take action against the terrorist strike of 9/11 on trade center of NY and within a month he sent the military Force to Afghanistan taking the full consent of the American people and the congress. The long seven years fighting failed to trace the real perpetrator Osama bin Laden. The expense of long drawn war has down graded the American economy. The sentiment of the citizen of US is changed by the change of time. The Democracy has replaced the president with Barack Obama, a person of different taste, not found in any previous President, hopping an abrupt economic change and a termination of on going war forgetting the commitment restored over Bush. This is quite natural; the power of a country lies in its economic strength. It is in the air- turn back American soldiers at home. But the question lies will the Americans will be safe? Will the Americans be surely certain that 9/11 will not be repeated? Definitely it will have no answer. So Peace of the world not lies in war. It lies in brotherhood and fraternity and above all in distribution of wealth if not equally at least partially to all corners of the globe to win the hearts of all human beings. The most glorious announcement of the President was lies in sending tens of thousands of specialist Doctors in different parts of Africa and in other regions to train the people how to solve HIV & AIDS like diseases. If a part of the body is affected, the body will be disturbed and the peace of mind will vanish. Similar to that peace in the Earth can not be sustained by preserving HIV & AIDs in a part of it. The same is also true by carrying out development in a particular region of the Earth in devoid of other regions, the real peace is difficult to sustain. In the midst of worst economic crisis, President took up an economic set up at the out set of his Presidency, which has now begun to show result. But President wants immediate jobs now to prevent further in dropping of his popularity. In the business of creating jobs, US can not strike hard the industrial backbone of the country.

[Obama addressing at the State of Union:]

[Obama addressing at the State of Union:]

US in relation to other Country:

After globalization the country like China, Japan, India, West Germany and Brazil are in the field for competitive business. It is good for development and for new innovation. Barak Obama has rightly pointed out that America will move for a new technology in this century. The IT in the nineteenth century and also in the current century has interlinked the world in communication overcoming the distance and the time. Number of IT American company has set up their offices in different places of India and Bengalore in particular because of facilities in language and active efficient Indian workers. However the policy of US might compel the companies to shift to US when this vacancy is likely to be filled up by the company of Japan and West Germany. If it is so Indian workers will be in uncomfortable situation because of language problem.

Other Orators:

It appears to me that the article is incomplete unless the names of few others are not included. It is invariably the names of few of the last century. The thrill of oratory is seen in the speeches of personality like Martin Luther King Jr, or a Winston Churchill, John Kennedy, or even Hitler. Now in the beginning of the 21st century all we have is Barack Obama. His presence and charisma are pleasing and he is eloquent. The name of Alan Keyes is worth mentioning. He impressed the public with his speech during 2000 during Presidential Campaign session. He was more impressive to listen to than anyone else. But speeches such as “I have a Dream” –by Martin Luther is unparallel and unique in character.

libertyordeath19 on July 22, 2016:

Obama is a communist, period. His father was a communist, his mentor Frank Marshall Davis was a communist, his step father was a Muslim, and he went to a Muslim school. Everything about this man is Anti American. He has accomplished nothing. His bungling in the Middle East gave birth to ISIS. He is the only president in the history of the us that will finish out his presidency with a net loss of jobs. He has destroyed the coal industry, and as a result, put many people out of work. He apologizes for America at every turn, and never speaks of the US without bashing or putting us down. He is ashamed of America and it shows. If you have not seen this, then you need to continue marching with the other lemmings toward the cliff. Republicans aren't any better, as they have funded every one of his executive order wet dreams. His legacy will be one of failure! LOL @ touting healthcare as an accomplishment. All but three state exchanges have went bankrupt, and your beloved single payer system will implement rationing, that will involve denying people care. I don't understand how grown adults can continue to be duped by this communist sideshow administration. It doesn't say much for the American electorate. We went from the defeat of communism in the 80's to the embrace and implementation of communism in the 21st century. America is asleep at the wheel.

HiSir Slave,

I appreciate your logical analysis in relation to the current situation of the US. Thanks for sharing.

sir slave from Trinity county CA. on February 01, 2011:

unfortunatley this country is very polarized as far as a chearant agenda regarding job creation goes. we are on the brink of a gree revolution, but the oil cartels are holding us back with their crappy spin(pr) on Television.

they also buy memebers of congress to stall or kill any progressive legislation that Obama would surly sign. They also want to defaet his WHOLE agenda for political purposes.. when put back into power the United states will likely invade another middle eastern country for their oil resources.

ps : its good to hear from people in other nations,as they are less polarized politically when talking about US issues. you're right about the language disadvantage to say Germany in the realm of computer support services.

H P Roychoudhury (author) from Guwahati, India on April 01, 2010:

Hi Bbudoyono,

I would prefer an impartial comment. Is Obama one of the greatest orators of the 21st century? And not based on any favor as he is going to Jakarta in this June. Thanks

Bbudoyono on April 01, 2010:

I believe he is the greatest orator in 21st century. I have a collection of all his speeches. Many Indonesian people are impressed by his speech and his past. We are expecting him in Jakarta this June.

Thanks for your compliment.

I caught allot of heat for saying Obama was a great orator - that was my take away. I pray his leadership is good for our country. I do believe he is more unifying across nations which is very important to me. Your ending was perfection! Another insightful and wonderful Hub! Thank you!

Thank you for comment and your out burst in the prevailing situation of economic crisis of US.

OpinionDuck on March 20, 2010:

It used to be said, that talk was cheap, but Obama put an end to the value of that statement.

Charlie the Tuna was told, "Sorry Charlie, we want a tuna that tastes good, not a tuna with good taste".

Sorry Obama, we want a president that does good, not one that talks good. (excuse the marketing grammar)

H P Roychoudhury (author) from Guwahati, India on March 20, 2010:

Hi Shyamchat,

Thank you very much for your valuable comment. But now people in general appears to be against Obama because of prevailing economic crisis in US.

shyamchat from Calcutta on March 19, 2010:

The great orators in political arena , however sincere they appear to be , can be either a sham or ineffective.

I thought so when Obama was enjoying scorching popularity during the election phase. I believed he would not be able to 'deliver'..... at the same time, the USA and the world needed a change in Washington at that time. Obama was the 'change'. Oratory was his most important 'tool'.

I hope Obama be a more effective a 'change agent' during the coming months so that he gets a 2nd term !

Hi Jyoti Kothari,

Thanks for reading the article and giving a dynamic comment. Obama is the President of a country of super power, every body is oblige to obey him as long as he is in the chair to keep peace and tranquility.

Jyoti Kothari from Jaipur on March 15, 2010:

Hi HP,

President Obama has failed to fulfill hopes and desires of Americans. He is no longer popular in the US.

Americans wanted a President with charisma and he failed to deliver.

Thanks for sharing! Thumbs up!

Hi James,

Thanks to you for going through the article and making compliment. In spite of scarcity of job and economic crisis his speech has brought a hope in the mind of many Americans. I am surprised to see that you appreciated the address although you are a victim of economic crisis.

Hi Beata Stasak,

Thank you very much for reading my article and making commendable remarks. I wish for your daughter that she would be a successful politician. I do believe a person who had a patriotic feeling, thinks for others instead of own will definitely win the game in life. The greatest satisfaction of a patriotic person lies in the service of human beings firstly at home and later in the globe. Thanks.

Beata Stasak from Western Australia on February 04, 2010:

One person, does not matter how nice, clever or intelligent has no human capacity to change the beaurocratic, unhuman and such conservative political system based on family /businees connections, money and corruption such exists in America /and not only in America/ now.

My daughter /young, idealistic and hardworking/ with a degree in Law, Commerce and Human Rights decided to enter politics and I fear what it will do to her. On other hand I know that young, idealistic people has to go and try to 'burnt their wings' in political games, if for nothing else just bringing some fresh air and some human face back. My daughter strongly believes that she can change the world to be a better place and I fear that after few years she will leave as a disilusioned and bitter person. Hopefully not.

H P Roychoudhury (author) from Guwahati, India on February 03, 2010:

Hi Sharei,

Thank you for reading my article and I appreciate your independent views but the fact is there the distribution of wealth is not being visible equally through out the globe nor any unified attempt is there in this respect. Thanks.

Hi Storyteller,

I am delighted with your expression of outburst. He had been chosen defeating the Republican Candidate with thumping majority. American people are the most intelligent people of the world; their choice can not be an empty choice. After declaration of the Nobel Prize, people began to criticize him, but I have seen something different in him for which I have written an Article “The Three Soldiers of World Peace: where I found in him an urge for world peace in the midst of two wars. Thanks for sharing

Thank you Roychoudhury for your hub on The Greatest orators of the 21st Century, I appreciate you hub On President Obama's behalf. Let face it, he can only do what they help him to do, no more or no less. He can't fix everything the other 43 presidents screwed up before he got in office. Thank you for sharing . Obama does speak from the heart! I am so happy you observed this even as critics complained, but then they always do, don't they? This speech of Obama made my heart sing, it was so full of hope and truth. I am uncertain whether he can deliver in a country that looks always for the bad or the one small problem or claims American Values to be anything they believe in but is exclusionary. But if people from around the world can see this man's soul in his speech, I am very grateful! Thank you for raising my spirits today, HP!

If the republicans either get on board or stop hitting the breaks tyime after time, Obama will be able to do more for us.

He already rescue us from falling into the deep and dark economic and political abyss created by Bush.

Hi Lisadpreston,

Thank you for rewriting and making praise worthy comment.

lisadpreston from Columbus, Ohio on January 29, 2010:

Obama is a wonderful person. Please keep in mind that what I said is my personal opinion. Based on my studies, corruption runs deep in American and other country politics. It is so controlled by higher ups that even Obama, as great as he is as a human being, cannot change what they have in motion. It is a long story and would take too long to explain in a comment. I love your writings and I have so much to study now after reading some of your hubs. You have great knowledge and wisdom. This is to be admired, and what I would consider true riches and wealth beyond measure.

H P Roychoudhury (author) from Guwahati, India on January 29, 2010:

Hi Lisadpreston,

I am enlightened by hearing the inside story of America. Thanks for sharing. After all Obama is a great personality as he speaks from heart shows by his expression of speaking. I admire him as a person. Thanks.

Hi Ethel smith,

Obama has the capacity to restore confidence over a dishearten sections of the people because his expression shows he is speaking from heart. Thanks for sharing.

lisadpreston from Columbus, Ohio on January 29, 2010:

I am an American. Im sure Obama is a nice, well meaning man. However, this country operates on greed and there will never be peace because war is big business for the rich. The federal reserve, a private bank, not a government bank, controls our economy. It is for their interest. There will always be the superrich and the very poor. America is a corporation and its duties are to the stockholders, not the slaves. Our people have no value system. They put things as importance and not mankind or brotherhood. It is to there shame. They are missing out on what life and being human is really about. You did write a very well written article.

Ethel Smith from Kingston-Upon-Hull on January 29, 2010:

I still have faith in Obhama, but then I am not American
