The UK Prime Minister was the very first major political figure to test positive for this virus in March 27, 2010. The PM was moved to ICU after growing worse several hours after being admitted for what was described as routine tests.
Boris Johnson couldn’t hide his joy and gratitude to the health practitioners who worked to bring him back in good health knowing well that his life had been hanging on the line.

On July, 2020, the Brazilian president tested COVID positive after months of assuming the seriousness of the virus calling it a “little flu”, and always in contempt of the control measures for the spread of the virus such as social distancing and having masks on.

Donald and Melania Trump.
The former US president on October 2, 2020 announced on Twitter that he and the former first lady were in isolation as per the COVID spread control measures after contracting the virus.
This came months after Trump, as the then president of the US, had faced several accusations of downplaying the virus despite the fact that is was claiming many American lives.
Trump was admitted for three days receiving treatment and thereafter returned to the White House.
Emmanuel Macron.
The French president tested positive for the virus on December 17, 2020. Proceeded to self-isolate at the Versailles, on the outskirts of Paris, French Capital.

Juan Orlando Hernandez
The Honduras president in June, 2020 made it public that he had tested positive for the virus together with two other very close colleagues.
He further stated that he had started the experimental “MAIZ” treatment. This is a combination of microdacyn, azithromycin, ivermectin and zinc. He was discharged after being hospitalized shortly.

Prince Charles
Charles the Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne confirmed to be COVID positive on March 25.
