Ballot Harvesting a New Phenomenon
Ballot Harvesting means that paid political operatives can collect ballots from strangers and vote for them. Even the far left-wing extreme extremists at the Los Angeles Times admit it “opens the door to coercion or fraud.” Ballot Harvesting represents a pernicious plot by the Democrat Party to steal elections. Eighty-four percent of independent voters and a stunning 76% of Democrats oppose the practice.
Ballot Harvesting was illegal in the United States until 2016 when California Democrats legalized it. Not a single Republican voted for such a revolutionary change in election law. Its use in the 2018 election enabled Democrats to annihilate Republicans in California, astonishingly taking all seven state house seats from them in Orange County, a conservative stronghold. Two hundred fifty thousand votes were 'harvested' in that single county, with individual Democrat ‘harvesters’ strolling into polling places carrying hundreds of ballots.
It turns out that ballot harvesters not only collect ballots but also fill them out. The Democrat Party paid activists to vote using the names of nursing home patients who have dementia and people living in homeless shelters. Democrats have long 'assisted' the elderly in filling out their ballots and paid homeless street people for their votes. This vitiates an essential element of our republic: the secret ballot.
Ballot Harvesting a Progressive Plot to Steal Elections
As reported in the Los Angeles Times, California Democrats are so brazen they openly use illegal aliens to harvest ballots. Democrats also threw 'ballot parties' for labor union members and sent operatives door-to-door to collect votes. A doorbell camera captured how that works, showing Lulu the ballot harvester telling a resident, “This is a new service, but only to, like, people who are supporting the Democratic Party.” The all-important protection against voter fraud known as ‘chain-of-command’ went out the window.
Harvesters even steal ballots out of people's mailboxes, knock on their door, and say, "I am here to help you fill out your ballot, and I will take it and save you a trip by casting it for you." This is a legalized form of voter intimidation. It also allows ballot harvesters to not turn in ballots if they don't like who the voter voted for.
As J. Christian Adams writes in FrontPage Magazine, "Progressives don't have a problem with this arrangement. If a ballot collector comes to a house to make sure a ballot sent to that house was cast, then to progressives, the collector is doing a public service. In the progressive worldview, the harvester is doing a good deed in collecting, and even voting, someone else’s ballot.”
Ballot Harvesting in the 2020 Election and Beyond
Ballot Harvesting would prove to be a key component in the Presidential Election of 2020, as more and more states utilized it using the virus as an excuse. Another crucial change was the elimination of signature verification, which made it far easier for harvesters to fill out ballots without the help of voters. Eighty-four percent of voters want signature verification. However, Democrats could not care less about the desire of We the People. Democrats want to do away with voters having to prove they are who they say they are.
So successful has ballot harvesting proven to be for Democrats, their members of Congress have feverishly tried eight times, and they are still trying to pass their bill H.R.1 – also known as the ‘For the People Act of 2021’ – legislation that would make unlimited ballot harvesting by paid political operatives legal nationwide. Those who care about election integrity and therefore know we need safeguards against those who steal elections understand that once ballots are handed out and passed around to Lord knows who, fraud will follow.
