Choosing the Right Candidate

Serious Business

From the local School Board to who will be running your State, all the way up to who will be running the Country...choosing the right candidate, is vitally important:

  • Electing school board representatives, who will be making crucial decisions regarding your child's education, is serious business.
  • Electing County, City/Town, State officials who will use sound judgement, when it comes to your particular County, City/Town, State, is serious business.
  • Electing representatives from each state and sending them to Washington D.C. to make the decisions which will best serve your State is serious business.
  • Electing a President to best serve this Nation and follow the Constitution...is serious business!

When it comes to elections, most of us usually get behind someone, from the start, we are familiar with their stance on the many different issues, long before their name appears on a ballot.

If they've been in office before, we're familiar with how they've voted and we've taken note on whether or not they are consistent.

Other times, candidates must win us over.

Frequently, we are left scratching our heads over the one that wins at the end of the day, after a long, drawn-out process.

But, nevertheless, we accept the outcome and go forward, vowing to do better about getting behind our candidate, the next time, with the next election, because there is no better system, anywhere on earth!

When Obama was running for office, I found myself cringing often.

Almost every time Obama opened his mouth, he was putting down this great Country of ours!

He always seemed to be feeling the need, to apologize for the existence of the United States of America and I will never get behind any candidate, no matter which letter follows his name, her name, if they exist to tear down this Country.

They aren't for me and they shouldn't be for any one of us.

Every time I listened to him, I'd wonder which Country was he was talking about.

It certainly wasn't the one which I am so familiar with and then I'd wonder, if it was the United State of America he was talking about, how and when did he become so down on her, so disgusted and disillusioned?

Obama told us and the entire world, what he'd do if elected and how he'd go about doing it.

He told us and the world...that he would "transform America" (as if America needed an intervention, an overhaul) and it never got any better, it only got worse from there, once he was elected.

Sadly and at the very same time, many Americans were deliriously happy, (for what I don't know) but the fact that so many were thrilled with his positive energy toward negativity, was disconcerting, to say the least!

Obama would tear down America and the people would respond with thunderous applause.

Obama would speak of fundamental transformation of the United States of America and the people would cheer even louder...

Half of the time, I'd be wondering if America was hearing or understanding what it was that Obama was saying, due to the loudness.

Consistently consistent

When I watched Donald Trump in the debates or saw him in different venues, I found myself cringing again, but for far different reasons, than it had been with Obama.

Donald Trump did not/does not tear down this Country.

He is a proud American, no doubt about that.

I cringed, because many Americans were cheering so loudly for Mr. Trump, the celebrity, that they seemed to lose sight of the other contenders in the room or the seriousness of the matter.

I was not a fan of Trump initially and felt that overlooked in the celebrity of Donald Trump, was the best man for the job,Ted Cruz. I cringed because Senator Cruz was disappearing right before my eyes.

I threw my support behind Cruz from the start, because I was familiar with him from my Tea Party days. I appreciated his knowledge on all things America; on our constitution, our history, etc. and I admired his consistency!

I felt Ted Cruz was the one that so many had been looking for, asking for and praying for...

The consistently consistent man, that memorized the constitution at a very young age, the very same man that Professor Alan Dershowitz (yes, that Alan Dershowitz) called "off the charts brilliant".

But, it appeared as if the People did not see him or care anything about any of that, because when Trump walked into the room, all eyes were fixated on him.

Cruz's most recent fight is for his Senate seat in Texas.

His liberal counterpart, Beto O'Rourke, has politicking down to a science (not sure about much more than that) but the folks seem to be eating it up. It will be close!

Every Election must be in the Best Interest of the Country and of the People

We need to be able to believe in the process!

It is still the best process in the world and that process must not change.

It is imperative that we take every single election very seriously; it is not television, it is not a reality show or the Disney hour...it is not about what goodies are promised, only about what is good for this Nation and the citizens of this Nation.

It is all about America and what is in the best interest of the American people.

For me Trump was a welcome surprise.

When all was said and done, we could only wait and see.

How would he govern?

Would he keep the many promises made?

Promises which we so desperately needed to be kept!

~~~
Yes, he did!
He governed well, kept it all about this Country and all about the People as it should be.
Refreshing!
Promises made, promises kept!
I must say.....I was pushing hard for Ted Cruz, but that was not meant to be.
Over time, I've warmed up to Trump. He has matured throughout this election season. He has surrounded himself with people that assist in keeping him grounded.
I'm praying for a smooth transition and a Trump Administration that will consistently uphold the U. S. Constitution and that will never attempt to place itself above We The People!
There is so much that the media does not really want to know! They've lost their way.
Well when the Democrats start making fun of God you'll know the end is near. Have you heard anyone in the media ask Hiliary or Bernie if they believe in evolution? They've asked the Republicans.
Thanks T. Things are so crazy right now. Only God knows our course from here!
Well said AB. I can't help but wonder that a lot of Trump's support is people who were snookered to vote for Obama and now realizing how badly they were snookered are mad and being so uniformed as to vote for Obama in the first place they are simply once again being snookered to vote for words and not substance, conservative substance in this case.
The one saving grace I have to mention is that Trump's ego is so big and he is intelligent enough to know liberalism is not the formula for a praiseworthy legacy as President (eg Jimmy Carter I and II [Obama]) that he will actually try to make America Great again and we all know that doesn't mean with liberalism which is the lion (or lying) roaming America seeking to devour it.
