More Sock Crafts

Teach your kids about gardening cheaply by converting an old sock to a sock pet. Sort of like a chia pet, a sock pet grows grass from it's head. You fill the sock (preferably not white) with dirt and grass seed. Give the sock a face and hang it upside down. Water it regularly and watch it grow hair! Too cute.

@anonymous: I have lots of stretch TOPS of mens sox due to us using the other parts for filling with rice and giving them to hospitals. You can frreeze them or heat them and use them on sore necks, arms, legs. BUT it leaves us with lots of the stretchy tops. Help, Thanks

Cotton socks also make great cleaning rags. Fit them right over your hand to wipe down a surface, or cut them down one side to make them flat to use that way.
