Ms. Anna Marie Abegael B. Loma, Teacher III/ Rapu-Rapu National High School-Senior High School Department
The anticipated shift of the learning modality from MDL or the Modular Distance Learning to Face- to-face classes overwhelmed both the teachers and the students who have done a full MDL for the past 2 school years. In connection to this new set-up, Rapu-Rapu National High School – Senior High School Department conducted an orientation on the MDL students for this school year. This was attended by the Grades 11 and 12 students who chose MDL until October 31, 2022.
The simple program started with an Opening Prayer through an audio-visual activity followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem with Ms. Reolo as the conductress. After which, Mr. Echemane, the Grade 12 Chairman, gave his opening remarks. This was followed by a message given by the school head, Mrs. Marmol. Mr. Bernido, the SHS Coordinator, then started the orientation proper and discussed the following: (a)Schedule of release and retrieval of SLMs, LAS and other MDL Materials; (b)Briefing on accomplishing the LAS and other learning tasks; (c)Grading System; (d)Introduction of SHS Teaching Staff; and (e)Briefing on Psychological First Aid Activities.
For the introduction of the SHS Teaching staff, the Grade Level Chairmen, Ms. Manzanillo and Mr. Echemane, introduced the teachers teaching in grades 11 and 12. After the introduction of the teachers, the Grade 11 MDL students proceeded to the SHS New ICT laborartory for the conduct of the Psychological First Aid Activities. The Grade 12 MDL Students remained in the 12-Garnet classroom.
There were 11 students in grade 11 who participated in the PFA activities facilitated by Mr. Ronald Boticario (Cloud Relaxation) and Ms. Anna Marie Abegael B. Loma (Bag of Feelings). The grade 12 students had their PFA Activity (Bag of Feelings) with Mr. Echemane as the facilitator. These activities were conducted as part of the preliminary activities that the students must have upon attending the classes. After the conduct of the PFA Activities, the adviser then distributed the packed modules to the MDL students and were dismissed.
