Pandering and Acting; It's What Democratic Leaders Do Best

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Dems...pandering!

pandering-its-how-the-democrats-get-away-with-keeping-skin-color-relevant

Focus on the Positives

When we are able to tune out, the negatives, that too many tirelessly work to make the center of our focus and instead...focus on how far we have come, as far as race relations go, it's all good!

There is much good news and that must be celebrated!

Race relations weren't great when I was in high school in the 1970's, but they were much better than they had been for students in the 1960's.

That's a positive...something to focus on!

By the time my kids were in high school, in the late 1990's/early 2000's, race relations were so much improved, it was not even among any problems they may have experienced, not even a little bit.

That is definitely a positive and something to reflect on and focus on.

We must focus on it!

We were doing so well, for so long and then we elected Barack Obama (D) and things began to go downhill...fast!

Before you get all up in arms over that sentence, I am not saying that, because I've made it about race, but rather because...Barack Obama did.

It is what his Party, the Democratic Party, does!

Even so and in spite of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and all other members of their divisive Democratic ’club’, we've managed to rise above all of that!

Because of the message of Reverend Martin Luther King, as it resonated across this land, and because of how generations since, have chosen, to raise our children, we've made great strides.

As we've made great strides in Race relations, the Democratic Party has remained apathetic, uncommitted and living in the past.

As a result of us working to get passed our past and as a result of them choosing to stay in the past, in order to stay relevant, they grandstand and they pander, like nobody's business, stuck...while the rest of us, move forward!

Control the Narrative

We've all seen the statistic charts circulating; a white man is more likely to be shot by a Police Officer than all other races.

While the number of blacks being shot by Police officers, is significantly down, the number of Police Officers being targeted, attacked and often, killed, is up!

Why is that and why is it that we are not supposed to talk about that?

Because the Democratic Party, the left, media, academia are all joined at the hip in making sure that they control the narrative:

  • Make everything about race.
  • Never stop pitting one group against the other.
  • Fan the flames ("Never let a crisis go to waste")

Because that's what they do best, that's how they keep themselves relevant!

They will never stop and pandering is how they have gotten away with it and how they continue to get away with it...to this day!

No Ways Tired

The Former Things Have Passed Away

Compare the body language and certainly the cadence of Hillary Clinton in her 'No Ways Tired' theatrical performance. Compare the theatrics of most messages/sermons coming from the Reverends, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to a Martin Luther King message.

In Reverend King's very last sermon, on March 31, 1968, which took place at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., he quoted Revelations 21:

5) "Behold I make all things new."

4) "The former things have passed away."

Dr. King was a forward-thinking individual, he did not dwell in the past, as the Sharpton's and the Jackson's and the Clinton's and the Obama's all do.

In this same message, these are the words he chose:

"We must learn to live together as brothers or we all perish together as fools."

Don't all of these people claim to be students of Dr. King?

I know I've heard them use his name often.

They certainly do not sound as if they paid very much attention to his message!

They haven't worked or moved toward anything resembling Rev. King's vision, quite the contrary!

Because they wish to remain relevant!

Pandering Joe

Pandering Joe

The Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, can pander, with the best of the best.

To get your vote, he ”promises to pick a female running mate.“

"If you don't vote for him, then, you aren't black."

"Democrats can't win without the black community, it's a fact."

”Trump is going to try to steal the election.”

I certainly agree with him on one of those. He does need the backing of the black community {to win} and he will say, do, promise, whatever he has to, for...their vote!

He will not follow through, of course, on anything, it is just campaign talk.

Naturally, he will accuse the President of “stealing the election” and anything else he must come up with, because he, Biden, lacks substance and vision and is out of his league, in the shadow of President Trump!

What does he mean by, "you are not black if you don't vote for him"?

Why does he get a pass, when he says such things?

There was a little blow back, but that quickly faded.

Remember?

All of those joined at the hip, working on "controlling the narrative", putting their own divisive words out there, pandering with every opportunity given (or rather taken) Making sure the only message getting out, is the leftist message; negative, full of lies, contentious...

Joe Biden (D), who has been at this for nearly 50 years, says that "our best days are ahead", if we elect him, of course!

His pandering and gaffes are the only things which keep him relevant, he has no record to run on, nothing whatsoever to boast about.

How is he going to bring us our best days and what does that entail for all of us?

If he was going to, single handedly, bring forth our best days, shouldn't he have done that during his best days...say, 50 years ago?

No, we've gone forward and we have done just fine, in spite of him and his pathetic, exploitive, pandering political party.

They get absolutely no credit for doing anything positive for this Nation, but they get full credit for the destruction, which is happening all around our great Country tonight!

Thank you James, that means a lot.

I feel like the little Author that couldn't....most of the time here. LOL!

My latest work is on hold, because I used the actual words of 'That Ragged Old Flag', giving Johnny Cash full credit for it, but, guess that's a no-no, because the words are already out there.

Silly me...thinking anyone needs to hear the words, see the words!!!

Sorry, didn't mean to unload on you. Frustrated!

Thanks for stopping by, hope I didn't scare you off, from future visits. ;)

James A Watkins from Chicago on June 15, 2020:

I love your little article that could. I enjoyed every word of it and I wholeheartedly agree with all of it. Excellent work A B.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 14, 2020:

Ya think? ;) lol

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 14, 2020:

I don't know what "some" think, but I know that "some others" think that they are just peacefully protesting. I've gathered this from seeing posts on FB from people who live in the vicinity. Including one post from a physical therapist whose patients can't get through for their treatment because of the barricades. It's been compared to Occupy Wall Street, but I doubt anyone has thought it through very well.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 14, 2020:

Amen girlfriend, I’m with you.

These losers don’t leave at that, apparently there are spies among them and if some do not do as asked, they are to be called out, belittled and made small.

Do some seriously think......they’ve created utopia?

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 14, 2020:

Best believe that if I am giving anyone money, it is not a protestor no matter how peaceful. Nor is it motivated by skin color. I would rather go find a homeless person no matter the race, and provide food or a poverty stricken family and pay a necessary bill for them. I believe that when I am called to give, God places it in my heart to whom I give.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 14, 2020:

This morning the News from the 'Autonomous Zone' in Seattle, is that those present have been challenged to look around for a black face and give that person money.

I wondered, back when Obama took office, why he insisted on us making everything about color/race!? It was difficult for a day to pass by, without him reminding us to see color/race.

Most of us in this Nation, had been taught and in turn taught our children, as they've taught theirs...to not see color/race.

Obviously, we weren't all on the same page!

I'd love to hear from someone who thinks it is a good idea, to find a black face and give that individual money.... in lieu of, a hug or a smile or a kind word.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 12, 2020:

Okay, thanks.

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 12, 2020:

I just looked and yes, it's scored. Not among my top scores but not that low either. It's also still on HP and not a network site. I have no idea when it was scored, though. I wasn't paying attention this time.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 12, 2020:

Shannon, we published about the same time, has your article been scored?

Mine still has the ?, seems to be the case every single time I publish.

Question marks for days! :(

Everything that is going on right now, is comparable to cutting off your finger or toe, because you have a hangnail.

Don't you cut off your head, when you have a headache...er...um...well wouldn't you? ;)

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 11, 2020:

The idea that they're just going to defund the police departments is just a stupid one. There are other solutions to the bigger issues people feel are present.

It doesn't stop with just the police. Some of the dispatchers would lose their jobs, too. We all sure could use more unemployment right now. Not.

Scary thought, Eric.

A very cool way to judge numbers is only 5 months away. Then we will know if the hi-jacks translated into numbers.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

I respectfully disagree.

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 11, 2020:

I don't think so. I think the extremists are just drawing more attention.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

BLM has been hijacked, right along with peaceful protests and any thing and every thing that may, at one time, have had honorable intentions.

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 11, 2020:

Not yelling. Just about to go ballistic. ;)

Yes and no. You forget that I grew up in a Democratic state and that I know a lot of Democrats personally and beyond just their political opinions. It doesn't mean I agree with their political stances, but what I realize is that these individuals are NOT terrorists.

Before you go thinking that I support ANTIFA, that's not the case. I can't support a group that wants to use violent tactics even if they do claim to be about anti-fascism. I just wanted to point out that movements and groups are two different things. Most groups that are supporting BLM have been peaceful even when people disagree with things they say.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

P.S. I am not yelling. ;)

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

Sorry Shannon, I did not mean to just send "say what Shannon?" and not the rest....

You do realize that the Democratic Party has been hijacked by leftist radical groups....and that we are way past a 'movement' at this point, right?

Whatever you may have once heard or are hearing right now, about ANTIFA, that's out the window....they are unleashed and their true colors are shining through. (I am being so careful not to go ballistic right now!!)

The President can ONLY support ONE MOVEMENT....the best interest of ALL of the people of the United States of America.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

Hi KC, it is unreal what is happening all around our Country, but especially in Seattle right now...what a nightmare!

You better be believing that radical Leftists from all around the world are getting in on this BLM, ANTIFA action, which has taken over a large portion of the city of Seattle.

You are right when you say, "God Help Us"! :(

Thanks for stopping by.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

Say what Shannon?

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 11, 2020:

Neither ANTIFA nor BLM are actual groups or organizations. They are names of "movements." As far as the various groups that are a part of these movements go, Antifa tends to use more violent tactics. I would hope that if a president supported either one of these movements, it would be BLM to help ensure equality within the judicial system and everywhere utilizing non-violent means, like the first amendment right to protest. I also hope our leaders use their heads rather than do things like defund the police that are there to protect these people while they are protesting their usefulness.

KC McGee from Where I belong on June 11, 2020:

It's not America when you're a good citizen and end up arrested for going to church, but get a free pass if you're a thug who is rioting , looting and burning. That's what happens in a democrat controlled state. That's a Democrat America. That is what is happening now.

Antifa and BLM have taken COMPLETE control of six city blocks of Settle, Washington. Armed Antifa and BLM are now controlling who can enter and leave this controlled area. People who are living within this area are required to show ID to armed individuals just to enter their own homes. The police station within this area was abandond by order of the city mayor to avoid "burning the station down" durning the riot last Sunday.

So America, what do you think is going to happen if a Democrat/Liberal become the president of the United States? Will a Democrat president lick the boots of Antifa and BLM?

Agreat article AB Williams

I guess it's something to watch.....everything else (worth watching) is being canceled by the lost, Looney Left!!!

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on June 11, 2020:

It is hard not to get caught up in this, loss of life is nothing trivial. But sometimes I just like to grab my popcorn and drink and watch the show.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

We shall see Eric. This next turning point, the November Elections, will be the Mother of all turning points!

Will the law-abiding, Constitution-embracing, America-loving citizens take the victory lap or will it be the sheeple, waiting for someone to tell them which way they need to go to take their 'victory lap'?

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on June 11, 2020:

I was wondering how the pandering will work out with basically defunding police unions. I think they just lost those endorsements which probably mean more in local LEO matters and Councils.

A trickle up effect.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on June 11, 2020:

Yes Shannon I think they will. A lot of people are taking note of what is happening in our great Country and WHO IS RESPONSIBLE and they are FED UP!

They may be silent right now, but they will be heard, come State and National elections.

For crying out loud.....ANTIFA aka: Domestic Terrorists are holding a part of Seattle hostage right now, I can’t imagine residents of that City, that State, not fighting back against this monster created by the LEFT.....at the ballot box!

If not, then they deserve what they get!

Shannon Henry from Texas on June 10, 2020:

I'm beginning to wonder if any Republican in office will ever be accepted enough not to keep stoking fires that divide, but I don't think the political issues are just about race. They seem to change focus from one "human rights" issue to the next. I put that in quotes because I don't' consider abortion a women's/human rights issue. But you get the idea. The focus changes depending on what's trending on social media and in the news.

I agree that in order to go forward we can't dwell in the past. We can learn from it and understand it. We can even understand the effects it has on today's society still if we take the time to listen to the people who were there in the Civil Rights era and listen to the stories of their ancestors. But if we keep blaming white people for what our ancestors did before us things won't change. At some point, everyone has to put themselves in another person's shoes long enough to gain understanding and then move on together in unity.
