American Jobs: Millions Still Out-of-Work in 2014

Representative Harry Reid

The Republican Party Failed the Unemployed Americans on July 30th, 2014

In my research I found the Republicans voted against Majority Leader Reid because he did not place enough pork in the bill to satisfy their greed. If this is incorrect, then let me hear what is correct, and stop making decisions standing in the hallways. Voice your opinions on the floor of the house where it belongs.

My Great-Great Grandfather Senator John Newton Krimminger died as a Republican who stood behind the party he loved. And, I hope there are other party members who love their party and support it for the good of the people. If they do support their party in the right way then, I believe the party should back Majority Leader Reid when he is trying to help Americans go back to work.

These unemployed American are not asking for a hand-out, but they are asking for the parties who let our American jobs be stolen from them---to get them back so they can support their families---which is their God-given right to do in the United States of America.

Re-Vote for American People

Any party member, who is not filled with greed for self alone, will vote the right way when this comes back to the floor to vote. And, they will see to a re-vote as soon as possible.

Millions are still unemployed, families are still hurting, homeless are still in every community of the United States, babies are still going to bed hungry. Where are the future jobs for our children and grandchildren? Thanks to American Companies and the Republican party they are overseas.

If you cannot help the Americans who elected you into office; then you are not worthy of the title of Senator or Republican. Your title should read former senator and once a Republican.

Will Americans Ever Respect Republicans or Democrats Again?

Stop Outsourcing American Jobs

Stop Outsourcing American Jobs

July 30th, 2014 Update on the Republican Party Blocking a Bill to Bring Jobs Back to the Americans

On July 30th, 2014, the Republican Party has proved once again they are not for the working American people. After the United States of American lost millions of jobs to outsourcing, the Republican Party is still trying to destroy the American way of life. When they voted against the bill to end tax breaks for companies that outsourced; which stopped millions of jobs returning to the American shores.

Remember what party is for the American workers and what party is against them. It makes one wonder how many Republicans own companies that are outsourcing at the moment. I will research it and let the American people know.

The word "Republican" leaves a bad taste in the mouths of Americans Unemployed. If the bill had passed our unemployed millions could be employed once again and have a new hope for a better future.

And, just so we are clear I would say the same about the Democratic Party if they did anything to hurt Americans who needed jobs.

Are We Doing Our Due Diligence?

Americans know more jobs will be lost in the "Free Trade" agreement and more American dollars will be lost in the grand plans of our asinine government (Congress) to support the countries involved.

Do your research---go online and and then think about the outcome what this is leading to in the end.

Who is trying to destroy America? Is it our very own Congress that outsourced jobs? Or is the Elite Group---the ones with deep pocket? Or are our leaders listening to the United Nations?

What is happening in all the meetings we are not invited to as a Nation? Who is killing America with their sword of lies and promises?

Scroll to Continue

What countries are undermining the pillars of our ancestors who fought and shed their blood on the cold hard ground of war? So we can be a free and thriving nation.

Instead of saying “Wake up America” we are awake and now what will we do about it? Vote all the bad seed out of government and then and only then will we have a fighting chance.

Buy Made in America

All the Governors need to make this their number one priority so the people of American can get back to work. Without places to work and products to manufacture we are on the slippery slope of going nowhere. Call, email, snail mail or visit your Governor to let him know the people he/she represent wants factories and business to come to your state.

Not five years from now, but now. Use some of the vacant building first---get the work started---then make plans for building a larger place if needed. There are so many vacant buildings in the USA that can used.

Push for this as hard as you can---notify all your senators and representatives and let them know this has to be number one on their priority list. American needs to kick a home run and win the game of getting our Americans back to work.

We need to be the ones that sell to China and other countries---not the other way around. It can be done with cooperation from our Governors---let each state stand on its own---and be proud of a job well-done. Be a red, white and blue American and get these people motivated.

In 2014 our government is still outsourcing jobs. They still have not learned nor, do they want to because they are greedy.

A Homeless and Jobless man.

A Homeless and Jobless man.

When Did This Happen To the United States of America?

It occurred when jobs became non-existent in America because greedy American companies, wealthy investors, and our Congress let it happen. It transpired when outsourcing countries were hired to make American products in other countries, but not by Americans.

Therefore, American jobs slowly vanished from America and the American Families. The few jobs which were available had so many people applying for each one--it was heart breaking--and I thought we would not live to see a Great Depression, bigger than the last one.

American Plants Closed

Plants that manufactured American Goods closed and relocated in Mexico to begin with and then settling in China. Whereas, others just went straight to China with their greed. In my research I found that China produced three times more American Products than in America.

Per my research I found the countries as Outsourcing Host: Brazil, Asia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Hungary, Czech Republic, Russia, South Africa, Mexico, and Poland.

That means our American Companies are over-seas paying their people to make American Products in a Foreign Land; and my friend that is why we do not have jobs.

Outsourcing equals= No Jobs for Americans

Stock Prices Are Up and Many American Companies Are Starting To Hire

But wait! The bad news is: the jobs are not in our towns or cities. They are hiring overseas because companies like Caterpillar, have hired a lot of people this year--but not in the USA--but overseas. They are not the only one--there enough greed to go around to all the greedy. Research the net, and you will find them and be surprised at the same time.

And their reason for Outsourcing--you might need to sit down for this one. It is so the American Consumer can buy the products cheaper. What Consumer would that be? The Consumer that is out of a job, his benefits have run out, and of course he can't find a job; because so many people are after the same one, and he cannot pay his mortgage.

The Consumer who cannot buy his children's decent food, and cannot save for their education. Is that the Consumer whom they are spotlighting?

Is It Time For Our Dose of Propaganda?

In all my years of living I never thought the country that I love beyond all else, would see this day of plain and simple Propaganda. Propaganda coming out of all the orifices of the White House, to the American people.

Congress is a big part of the problem, and either, no one wants to vote against any cliques which have banded together--to benefit only themselves, or we need to a re-election because they are just not doing their jobs.

It was presidents who started the tiny stream of Outsourcing, in other words--only a few jobs sent--no biggie----no---the American people didn't notice-then--we were working, and letting our Reps. in Washington take care of us. HA! Our shores became inundated with no jobs. So all the Government Watchdogs slept, and see what happens.

We The American People Are Being Let Down By Our Government

I feel if our Ancestors could see us now---they would probably get their cannons ready to fire upon us. Look at what's happened; it seems what they fought and died for became in vain---a new country where we would be free. They even wrote the Constitution for us, so 'We The People" would have foundation and structure for our lives.

Everyone in the White House should read, "The speech before the house of representatives by Davy Crockett. Look it up on the internet. I believe everyone in Washington who holds an office should read this again and again.

The Truth Is Simple

Our jobs are oversea being done by people in other countries. They are getting richer, as we slowly ooze down the economic poop hole. Manufacturing equals jobs, it is that simple.

History Remembered:

One of the main reasons, I believe, the South lost the Civil War because the North was superior in resources, not to mention people. The North had the monopoly on heavy industries, coal, iron, armaments, shipyards, machine shops---which the North had in an abundance, and the South barely nothing.

History Repeating Itself

Is it happening again? But this time to all the USA, not just the South---. We are losing our Resources to other countries.

And because we got into a war, and we are still there--out goes more resources. Our Congress is forever giving money to other countries that hate Americans. I really don't understand it. What country they want to prosper in the future?

Are any countries giving us money?

My Grandmother always said: "The Rich get Richer and the Poor get Poorer." And today after researching and reading tons of information, I feel poorer. But richer in knowledge.

What Can We Do About Outsourcing?

Everyone, call or fax your senators and representatives, and voice your opinion about Outsourcing.

If you don't agree with me that is fine also because we still live in America, and we still have freedom of choice.

I choose to speak out because so many young people cannot find jobs with degrees. Not to mention Seniors who would like to work still, it all so very hard for everyone.

And the very people who are running for office or talking against outsourcing are the ones who have vested interest in these overseas companies.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I want America back to its glory days for our children and grandchildren, and my nieces and nephews.

I am happy for any improvement in businesses coming back to our shores and for the companies that are making America Made Products.

I'm happy that in 2013, Ohio companies began bringing back large numbers of jobs that they had outsourced to China and Mexico. I hope that other States can do the same very soon.

Thanks for the Hub.

Hi and a Happy Sunday morning to you and thanks for reading my hub and commenting. What do you think about a 10% Federal Tax for everyone including businesses in American and American businesses that are outsourcing?

We allowed it to go this far, because by the time we were in trouble we were already in the shit and swimming hard against the downward spiraling current. As we screamed and tried to push back we were treading the fall just to survive and keep our families from drowning. Now that President Obama has placed an economic floor under us to stand on or at least not fall further into the abyss, we have the room to lift our heads up and do something about the fall we took. It was a deep hole.

Now, the 1% are showing concern because they can't hide the wealth they've been hoarding and their never ending yell for more. Their avarice are consuming them and a danger for us.

These guys have got to be removed from us, because they're predators and they are not going to stop.`

Hi pramodgokhale,

Americans have started to rebound with American made companies---products made in America. These companies hired Americans therefore, its has helped to put people back to work. It may be a little slow but we will bounce back with these great Americans who started the companies.

India can also do that---I know you make such beautiful clothes in India. Some of my favorite dresses were made there---which I wore when I worked.

Have a great new week.

Yes i agree , families in many countries suffered and but MNCs do not listen even threaten to leave USA and can set head quarters in other countries.

When large corp orates run economy and countries how to stop who can stop them? Middle class who suffered most and no way to rehabilitation.

In India when we closed textile industry , blue collar workers lost jobs because of cheap import from Asian countries, India is a signatory of WTO then we can not restrict imports.

This is the dilemma of nations and globalization can not be reversed in short time, common consensus on unemployment and trade disputes can be done and issues settled, but it looks difficult.

Barbara Purvis Hunter (author) from Florida on September 28, 2013:

When it hurts American Families and families in others countries then it is time for Deglobalization. The vast American companies that outsourced to other countries is the reason for over 25 millions of Americans being unemployed. There is nothing wrong with using common sense in anything that is done that affects the families of the world.

If Globalization is a process then outsourcing is important to remain competitive in market.

After globalization nations found easy to trade and get whatever they need without hitches so what is wrong to hire services from other countries , MNCs want to save money , they outsourced work to the nations in third world.

long back in India in Bangalore Texas Instrument, Bell opened their software centers and dispatched software to parent companies in USA

Yes jobs have been lost to emerging nations.

Yes, and we are pestering them also. I keep hoping they will wake their little pea brains up and pull their heads out ot the sand---and stop being greedy and do their jobs.

Thanks for your visit and great comment. I appreciate it.

Your Hub Friend,

Jaye Denman from Deep South, USA on July 20, 2012:

This subject has been aired repeatedly since the Ronald Reagan administration, but still our government allows companies to offshore manufacturing/customer service/technical jobs and, at the same time, pay little or no taxes. I believe any American company that TRAITOROUSLY sends American jobs overseas should be penalized with extremely heavy taxes for doing so, while American companies keeping jobs in the USA should be rewarded with incentives.

Will our Congress ever take this step before this once-great nation goes down the toilet? If we go by past performance, no they won't, but will continue ahead with their own partisan agendas that are bound to the interests of wealthy campaign contributors (mostly huge corporations, now that our Supreme (and I use that term without believing it) Court considers them the same as 'individuals', rather than the interests of "We, the People." So Nero fiddled while Rome burned? Well, the Congress of the USA is fiddling away with no relief in sight!

Grassroots movements can have an effect on government, but only if huge masses of ordinary citizens become involved enough to get the attention of the "public servants" in Congress. Personally, I sign every petition against offshoring jobs that comes my way, I call my state senators and representatives (though they brush me off, good little Republicans that they are). I may have only the power of a buzzing fly, but I will continue to pester them as long as this situation exists.

Voted Up, Useful and Interesting, and SHARED.

Hi molometer,

It is so sad that countries have such leaders who only care for themselves---this is what has happened to our USA---money, greed and the want of more power.

We still have over 12 Million unemployed in America today---don't believe what you read about the unemployment rate is going down.

Take care,

Micheal from United Kingdom on July 19, 2012:

Hi Bobbi,

Sadly this has also been happening here in the UK for decades. People here are also wondering why we are buying new trains from Japan when we invented the things in the first place.

We built the best trains in the world. In fact many of the old steam trains are still running. Why do they outsource. As you pointed out so well here...Greed.

I wrote a hub on Waterford Glass Crystal now made in... Czechoslovakia? WTH is that all about.

The whole town of Waterford depended on that factory. When it went, so did the town. Mass unemployment is still there today.

All the votes and sharing.

CHRIS57 from Northern Germany on March 07, 2011:

I don´t understand why America has let go so far. It is a threat to the world if the US gets even deeper into trouble, not to mention the American people.

IMHO for decades US administrations followed a "laissez faire" attidude and short term Keynesian economic policies. Outsourcing of jobs is a logic consequence. America isn´t producing much any more.

You asked if any country gives money to the US? Yes, every day in the year the US economy receives some 1,5 to 2 billion USD from the world (that is the current account deficit). If my figures are right, then foreign aid (including military aid) and grants and loans of the US to other countries sum up to less than 10% of the current account deficit.

That deficit would not be so bad if it were not created by product imports mainly. I think for every USD of Made in America products another Dollar is spent for imported products. Only - the US doesn´t have the money to import any more, and borrows and borrows and...

It is a pity things got that far.
