Amy Coney Barrett, Not Only Claims to be Catholic, She Actually Seeks to Live by Faith

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

When did this shift occur?

I know we've been going downhill since a group of activist judges in robes, decided that killing babies in the womb was justifiable.

I know that prayer was taken out of schools, quite some time back and the Holy Bible long before that.

I know that 'The Golden Rule', "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", was phased out of most school hallways...

But, when did being a believer in God or attempting to live one's life (one's best life) patterned after the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, become controversial?

Unbelievable, some of the things I've already heard said about this woman, by many...who know no more about Amy Coney Barrett's personal life, than she knows about theirs.

It may just be me, but I doubt very seriously that she would jump so quickly to accuse those whom accuse her, without first...knowing all of the facts!

Who knew there were so many politicians and mainstream media types that also moonlight as Judges, on the side; judges of one's character, judges of one's faith, judges of one's intentions....

  • So quick to draw conclusions
  • So quick to have us tune in, as they switch out their 'talking points' for their robes and gavels
  • Quickly, laying out their case against her, in order to destroy her reputation, ultimately, hurting her chances of becoming a Supreme Court Justice.
  • The sooner they can get your attention, bend your ear and create a monster in your mind...the better!

As if the details of ace investigations weren't enough, she lives her life as a Catholic Christian, okay, so?

Upon digging further, ace reporters have reported to the politicians, (or vice-versa) exposing a secret life, she is a member of an organization known as, 'People of Praise'.

Heavens to Betsy!

I wonder....

This is just me wondering and pondering, could it have anything to do with the high bar Professor Barrett has set for herself, in her walk with Christ?

Not to say that her faith makes her perfect, none of us are made perfect when we become followers of Christ.

We are but students, trying to follow a perfect example.

Still pondering...

Does tearing down others, in particular, those not ashamed of their faith, bring some satisfaction, to those on the accusing end, when it comes to their shortcomings?

Are people of faith the easiest targets?

I've often heard Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden speak of their Catholicism, why do they get a pass from criticism?

Have we gotten to the point where it is perfectly okay to "be" Catholic or Protestant or Jewish...but mentioning it is one thing, attempting to live it, something else entirely?

Pondering aside, I am not sure how this nominee will be treated before Congress, but I am not expecting it to be any friendlier than it was toward another self-professed Catholic, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

They had to go back to his high school days to attempt to find something which resembled dirt.

I guess when the more conservative sorts are being considered, nothing is off the table. Nothing is off-limits.

Watching {many} of them as cats with mice, their holier-than-thou attitudes and high-brow antics, often seem to come off as so much more than elected officials of the People.

Dare a say, the most pompous of all, seem to see themselves as...Supreme!

Dems in Action

If It's Meant to Be, It'll Be

I am sure that Judge Barrett will handle all which comes her way, with poise and grace.

No doubt, her faith will sustain her through the inquisition of those with peering eyes and high brows, as it does throughout all aspects of her life.

We will see in the end, if it is meant to be, a part of God's plan.

While there have been and still are, women holding seats on the Supreme Court, there has never been a conservative woman.

Sandra Day O'Connor, appointed by Ronald Reagan, was more moderate, in my humble opinion.

Perhaps Amy Coney Barrett will turn out to be as well, but this Christian, conservative woman is ecstatic with the notion of this nomination.

Praying for a Just outcome and always praying for this amazing Nation.

God Bless America!

A JUST outcome indeed! I am so happy with the selection and confirmation of Justice Barrett.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on September 29, 2020:

Hi Virginia, thank you. Long time, no chat, I hope all is well.

I agree, it is a brilliant appointment!

I imagine we will see some fireworks tonight and more to come right around Oct. 12, when the confirmation hearings get underway.

Smoothly would be nice, but I will not hold my breath.

Thanks for stopping by.

Virginia North Skok from Beaufort S.C. on September 29, 2020:

I loved reading your article on the presidents brilliant appointment to be a SC judge. She will be such a good choice for all the people.

I am eager to hear the debate tonight and hope that it will go smoothly.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on September 29, 2020:

Hi Sharlee, thank you!

So true! Keep it up Dems...keep dishing and keep on sinking lower and lower, while we reap the rewards!

Yes, thank you President Trump. I am looking forward to the debate tonight. In all honesty, I didn't think it would happen, I thought Biden would suddenly come down with Covid-19 symptoms or something equally worthy of quarantine. (there's still time ;))

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Thanks James, appreciated!

I admire ACB, she is a very accomplished woman, but I know we won't be hearing about it, as often as we did with RBG (from both Parties, I might add)

Carolyn said it...what she will go through, "will be close to inhumane".

Right now the late night insults and daytime dissing is just kid's play, a small preview of things to come. :(

Thanks for reading and commenting.

AB , wonderful article...

In my view, her experience, education, and wonderful faith will bring her through the latest disgusting ploy to discredit her due to her religion. Hopefully, the hearing will be before the election, it will give the general public another look at just how low the Dems can go. Each and every grift they try to pull off I always think, they have hit bottom. However, they never disappoint, they can always sink further into doing anything to try to regain some power. Hey - let's see how good they do up against a woman that truly has God on her side. She will make a wonderful addition to the SC. . Every bit of what the Dems have dished up has ended them up with three new conservative justices. Need I say more. Oh yeah --- Thank You President Trump

James A Watkins from Chicago on September 29, 2020:

Thank you for this brilliant article. I agree with your analysis 100%. Well done.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on September 29, 2020:

Hi Mike,

I was just watching the latest Project Veritas video in which an "open secret", Rep. Ilhan Omar's alleged involvement in ballot harvesting is exposed.

In Minnesota, third parties may collect up to (3) absentee ballots of voters, but in this video a man named Mohamed brags about having 300 ballots in his car. He brags, "my car is full, all of these here are absentee ballots."

But...let's pretend this isn't going on...let's pretend that Antifa and BLM have the very best of intentions for this Country and let's keep voting in these corrupt and these 'extra sharp' individuals, (thinking Guam could tip over) those with D's after their names, into office.

All focus MUST be on attacking and destroying good men and women who dare to have faith in something much larger than themselves or some political party/cause. Those that have the best interest of the U.S. at heart!

This is a good article.

She will be in a hearing and asked questions by a political party that supports Antifa and BLM. A party with such members as Rashida Tlaib, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Maxine Waters, Hank "Guam could tip over into the ocean" Johnson and others.

These are Democrats.

When we think they could not go any lower, they surprise us like they did at the Kavanaugh hearings.

So, we can always expect the worst from a party that seems to embrace the worst.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on September 29, 2020:

Thanks Eric,

Great points.

Yes Pelosi is Catholic.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on September 29, 2020:

Nice piece. It seems to me that the act of seeking guidance from God is as important as whatever answers we recieve. I think I knew RGB was Jewish. But I did not know most are Catholic. I simply never saw it in opinions. I might have to revisit that.

Pelosi is Catholic?

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on September 28, 2020:

Hi Carolyn, I've just added scripture and have made a couple of revisions.

No doubt! I will be praying right along with you.

Carolyn Fields from South Dakota, USA on September 28, 2020:

I will actively pray for Professor Barrett. What she is about to go through will no doubt be close to inhumane.
