The Corrupt and Shady Little News Shop on the Corner

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

CNN - Anderson Cooper

CNN - Anderson Cooper

The not so Quaint little News Shop

Does it matter to you that CNN and MSNBC, among many others...got it all wrong, every single time, with every single story, when it came to their news reporting of Trump?

Biased reporting was critical, because they have sold out to the D.C. establishment and Donald J. Trump didn't factor in, he wasn't supposed to win!

Any actual News reporting had to be replaced with action; a mission if you will; Mission do harm - end Trump!

Shouldn't it matter to us, that major news organizations such as CNN and MSNBC, intentionally got it wrong in order to be participants, not in aboveboard news reporting, but rather in the ploy, to do harm to President Donald Trump, therefore doing harm to this Nation?

Isn't there a word for that?

Is it perfectly okay with you that they spent years on what they knew was a nothing-there story? The set-up, the sting - Trump dealt in collusion with Russia, to steal an election, right out from under Hillary Clinton?

Do the people that tune in and support these blatantly partisan stations and other stations/newsrooms, just like them...care that they had it all wrong from the get-go?

Could it really have mattered to them, if they were ducking in, only to seek validation of their hate, knowing where to look, where it would be found... in the convenient little propaganda {not news} shop on the corner?

Once in, once there, once validated... the 'fix' sought, found!

It is crystal clear now, the plan was always to take out/destroy a popular outsider, a duly elected, sitting President..to quickly find a story and any story would do.

Run with it, check sources later, if at all -

I imagine the round table meetings....or Zoom meetings, went something like this:

  • Which story has sticking power?
  • Be on the lookout for the one with enough cream to rise to the top the quickest...run with that one; blow it up, sensationalize that story, run it into the ground, to the point of no return!
  • Cast enough doubt upon a nation, upon the world, so that enough, will always be left questioning and wondering....was there some truth in it?

Seems that way to me, seems that way to many others, from the never-ending chatter, now that Trump has been ended!

Not everyone needs a fix; a dose of what to believe today, a prescription for what to think tomorrow, a little made-to-order concoction of feelings rule and facts drool, which help them to get through the night!

We aren't cloudy, we are focused, which leaves me wondering -

how many are experiencing withdrawal?

With your daily fix of Trump hate greatly reduced, what becomes of you now?

Avoid the Manufactured News Shops

I didn't personally see it, but heard, through chatter, that Rachel Maddow cried when the results of the Mueller probe came out, via a Report.

I avoid those shady shops, as I attempt to avoid all dangerous things.

You know, those things which tend to do me more harm than good...and keep me coming back for more!

Wouldn't you think that any normal, reasonable, proud-to-be-an American, individual would be happy with the knowledge that their President didn't collude with Russia or with any one else and that he did not conspire, to steal an election?

Wouldn't you think that Ms. Maddow and all those tuning in, would have been relieved with this revelation?

Shouldn't satisfaction have been gained in the findings?

Their President was on the level, on the up and up, the entire time his interest was the best interest of America and of the American people!

He is not a traitor!

He was the truth teller all along and the plain and simple truth, is that he won the election fair and square. Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton, with the better campaign!

  • No tricks, unless you count that he has personality and is likeable, Hillary does not and is not.
  • Trump had a positive plan for this Country going forward and Hillary did not.
  • No collusion, no conspiracy required...he won over the American people with substance; a core belief system, pride in this Country and the people who reside here and these good people recognized the many major differences, gave him the nod and gave her, the boot.

Simple as that!

But Ms. Maddow cried - other news deceivers, just like her, were equally saddened by the real news.

It was gloom and doom for them; any sign of joy, missing.

A collective sigh of oh Thank God, nowhere to be found...in these useless little so-called 'News' shops on the corner!

As a result of the never-ending witch hunt stories, they propped up and supported, the American people began to question...

Who then, was actually participating in the colluding and conspiring that had to take place in order to convince a Nation/the World...to turn on Donald J. Trump?

Her Royal Highness, the booted-one herself, Hillary Clinton?

She had been everywhere, making excuses, spreading lies, blaming men... and then suddenly, no Hillary, only a distraught Rachel Maddow.

Where oh where did Hillary disappear to, around that time?

So how far and how wide does the colluding, conspiring and conniving go and now that we know it was not President Trump, who worked to set him up and who continues to this day, to work against this Nation?

Guess that is too much to ask out of today’s News shops that are only capable of participating in dirty deals and quick fixes!

MSNBC - Rachel Maddow

MSNBC - Rachel Maddow

They Can’t Handle the Truth

As I wrap this up, on the level, truth-seekers are doing their own detective work...(at one time in the United States of America, it was known in the News Industry as research, doing some digging for the truth, some real honest-to-goodness fact checking)...to find answers to the burning questions.

When and if that Report ever comes out, what will be the response of those that lost their way, got so caught up in the Trump hate fest that they forgot their profession?

When Donald J.Trump came in, all integrity, professionalism and credibility, they may have once held, was out the window!

Will any of them be found complicit in not reporting facts, only wishes on a whim, hearsay...for what they wanted and desired to be...the truth!

Doubtful, we have strayed too far...but my oh my have many eyes been opened to the fraud that is today’s Mainstream media!

Let's nor forget those that tuned in...completely and totally dependent on the daily hate fest:

I wonder....those that stopped in for their daily fix, are they still stopping by looking for something, anything, just give them a taste to get them through?

Soooo, Robert Mueller came forward today to add nothing else to the nothing burger…but remained cloak and dagger enough...to keep SOME continuing to hope beyond hope... that there may be something on that burger.....sound about right?

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 02, 2019:

Ladies, way to round it up and bring it home!

Personally, I like the format of the 6:00p.m (Eastern Time) News on Fox, with Bret Baier.

He may be conservative, probably is.....but he doesn't wear it!

He reports the News for an hour, acts as host for a panel discussion and I am left to draw my own conclusions, whatever the subject matter may be. What a concept!!!

Suzie from Carson City on April 01, 2019:

and even THEN, I don't recommend you believe anything!

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

LOL Okay, okay.....what is a perfect Latino? Someone like Desi Arnez's character in "I Love Lucy'? Nah. Looks were nice and there was the singing part, but he was a little too bossy for my tastes.

But forget about men, I think people, in general, are enough to make me more and more pessimistic these days. Especially when I can't even watch a news story about our government happenings without having to check three other sources before believing it as presented.

Suzie from Carson City on April 01, 2019:

I am NOT stereotyping...merely sharing knowledge of experience. We must have different Hispanics here than you do!! LMAO!! When I stereotype, I lump ALL men together...every last one of every age, color, size & bank account!! Bah Humdrum!!

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

It's okay. We all have more to do than to sit at a computer watching for comments. They pop up on my phone now with the email notifications. I had that feature turned off, but then my phone broke and I went without one for most purposes for a couple of months, which was actually quite nice. Now, though, I have to be available by phone for business purposes and haven't figured out yet how to disable the email notifications that let me know every time I have a new email.

The thingy sent the one before the song to your spam folder. LOL. I haven't figured out how it decides what is relevant and what is not.

I love ballads, too. Maybe every woman just needs a singing cowboy to sing her a ballad. ;)

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

I can't keep up! Love the song shared, I am a sucker for the ballads!

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

Okay, so your HP bots didn't like my story about young, dumb infatuation with a dude who couldn't look me in the eye during a serious conversation, EXCEPT when he was telling the truth.

Maybe it will let this one pass....a song more related to the hub (and much better than the previous one). Since you like Mr. Rich, and all. Personally, I think there are more attractive cowboys than him. But what do I know? I dated Paula's stereotype. Hahahaha

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dXLC1butGc

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

See, there you go again lumping everyone into a stereotype. In all seriousness, I have known a lot of good Hispanic men. I won't mention that the very first boy I ever kissed fit your bill perfectly. He stood me up ON MY BIRTHDAY (which so happened to be a double date with a friend, how embarrassing) to go out with some chick who only then after months of asking her, apparently, decided to give him a chance. What can I say, I was young, dumb, and enamored with his good looks. Luckily for me, I wasn't stupid enough to sleep with him. And then I about died when she asked me when I broke up with him. But here's the funny part. . .her roommate contacted me several months later to invite me to a surprise birthday party they threw for him, which so happened to consist of all the girls he tried to play. I didn't go, but the idea was pretty genius, I thought. Bahahaha

What kind of stuff, Paula, are you concocting in that devious little plot of yours? I'm not so sure nice after the fact would keep me out of trouble. LOL. You've been in NY too long. Maybe you should be the one to giddy on up and come down south for a visit.

Suzie from Carson City on April 01, 2019:

Ladies....We simply MUST stop meeting this way! 1. Cowboys would be preferable to Hispanics. Hispanics are handsome and macho & they can Salsa like nobody's business, but they all believe that infidelity is their birthright! I have friends who are/WERE married to Hispanics. Nuff said.

My diagnosis for you Shan is that your first mistake is trying to be kind to everyone when you first meet them! Try being really nasty instead ...then they can't stand you and are pretty scared of you Then you can make them do stuff for you....and then treat them really nicely after they get locked up. LOL

Those jokes...........ohhhhhhh, those jokes.....groannnnnnn. Take a nap Shannon.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

Although....John Rich is mighty fine! Okay, enough of this....must stay on the subject at hand! ;)

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

P. S. - Thanks a lot, Paula. Your words just put a song in my head that I can't stand. Sigh....It'll probably be there all day now. So now you get to listen - unless Angie wants the distraction deleted from her comment thread. Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - gag me!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9ZbuIRPwFg

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

Hahahah....Well, the app said "When God made Shannon, he added one spoon of cleverness....add some good looks....add some dumbness, oops! Then it posted my picture beside it. I'm pretty sure the app made a blonde joke. That's my story, anyway, and I"m sticking to it!

Actually, I'm used to the blonde jokes. My hair is has grown considerably darker since having kids (turning light again quickly now though, blame that on the kids too), but my dad used to think it was funny to read me all of the blonde jokes in the newspapers and such. He sent them via email when I went to college. LOL

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

Vivian, you would think....right? Do they think or do they only react?

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

Thanks Shannon, you too, have made me laugh on this gray, dreary, dull Monday. I especially like the one about the blonde! ;)

Vivian Coblentz on April 01, 2019:

You would think when fake news outlets see their viewership sink while Fox News has an enormous surge, they would start reporting unbiased and accurate stories just for the sake of monetary survival. Yet, they continue to cut off their noses to spite their faces. In the long run, it appears to be working for the good of conservatives because people are seeing what a bunch of hokum this is and coming to our side.

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

Here we go, Angie. This will no doubt go to your spam folder, but just to make a positive out of your dental visit. I particularly like the first one. It's the sort of joke my daughter cringes at when I make them, but for the record, I did not make these. I found them online . .

Q: Why did the Tooth Fairy go to a psychiatrist?

A: She no longer believed in herself.

Q: What did the dentist say to the golfer?

A: "You have a hole in one. "

Q: What does the dentist of the year get?

A: A little plaque

Q: What is a dentist's office?

A: A filling station

Q: Why do dentists like potatoes?

A: Because they are so filling.

Q: Why did the blonde go to the dentist?

A: Someone dented her car.

Q: Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused a Novocain injection during root canal treatment?

A: He wanted to transcend dental medication!

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 01, 2019:

That was kinda my point, Paula. But at least if a dumb broad does it, she's usually thinking about her kids and more important things than herself, right? Surely she's not THAT dumb. Not saying that makes it right, just saying. So si, si amiga. Por supuesta, si.

Everyone always thinks I'm so nice at work - until I'm not. I suppose I'm the same way everywhere. I am nice and I try to be kind and give the benefit of the doubt, look for the good, etc. I'm extremely loyal. Someone told me the other day about when I used to run a drive-thru that she liked how I rarely complained or whined to a manager about being asked to do something, but she could still see it in my eyes once in a while when customers or coworkers were pushing my patience to the max. I tolerate a lot of sh** before I snap. But when I have had enogh, people tend to know exactly how I feel. Anyway, I suppose I was going somewhere with a kind of defense for him along the lines of something going on we aren't aware of, but it's falling a bit flat in my mind now. Go figure. LOL Oh my, did I just sound like another dumb blonde? I'd swear even FB threw a dumb blonde joke at me the other day. Might as well join in the fun. At least I wasn't being compared to Hank from Green Acres. I won't mention who made that comparison. Ah-hem.

Okay, ladies, I'll stay out of the crush conversation. My taste in men is. . .well, no comment. Besides, if we go just on looks alone, I would say masculine is good, Angie, but not too much so. I'm sure you'll find a desirable cowboy or more here in Texas. Or I'm quite partial to the smoldering Hispanic look - with all the other masculine qualities, of course. Although, at one time, I also thought Anderson was fairly attractive. Not so much anymore. He's looking more and more wimpy to me every time I see him.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

Well it's Monday, it's yucky and gray, started off with a trip to the dentist, but I'm tryin'...have a great week!

Suzie from Carson City on April 01, 2019:

I hope those networks remain stupid and useless.......just like I hope the loons continue to be as crazy, outrageous and ignorant as they have been...... It's a sight to behold......slow but certain suicide.

Keep smilin girlfriend.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

You crack me up! Real men should never apologize for being real men. There's my two cents worth of non-professional advice(?).

The aforementioned major networks better get it together, because more and more people (that aren't looking for a fix) are onto them and their agenda-based reporting.

Suzie from Carson City on April 01, 2019:

Well.......Shucks, Angie....If ya like Cowboy types, y'all oughta saddle up yer pony and giddey-up on down to my town......respectable selection of "manly" Country boys, farmers, red necks, pick-up trucks, muscles, boots and Levis. Lots and lots of Harleys too!

I can't tell you precisely what it is about Anderson (in particular) that I'm fond of. Truth is, he's a bit slight-of-build for my taste. I'm not 100% sure I have a "specific type"...........Besides, sexy Mama.....I have no idea what I'd do with the poor guy! Long gone are those days. But I'll always appreciate the male species...and I can still LOOK and think BACK!! LOL Variety, honey....The Spice of Life. My Spice of choice used to be Cinnamon, Red Hot Pepper & Pumpkin.........I think it's now....POULTRY SEASON!! Bwahahahahahahahah!

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 01, 2019:

Paula, for the life of me, I cannot think of a single News Reporter/Journalist/Leftist pretending to be one or the other...that I've ever crushed on. Hmnm thinking, thinking. Nope!

My crushes have always been on masculine men in cowboy hats. If I were not happily married, maybe I'd move to Texas, Shannon. ;)

Suzie from Carson City on April 01, 2019:

Angie..I can understand your point. It's fair at this point. Like your friend, I DID like Anderson, despite his political stance and affiliation with CNN (WHICH, BTW...looks like it's doing the big swirl down the toilet at a furious rate of speed) Too bad, so sad.......NOT.

LOL....I can remember telling my late husband that I was so angry when I learned Anderson is gay. My husband, of course, came back with, "What difference does it make honey? You're 2 decades older than him, & need I remind you, you're married?" Ya know? a girl can't even have a decent fantasy without someone spoiling her fun!

Shan.....Subtle hint, honey......If little Cooper is playing the role of a left loon against his authentic ideals, "to keep his job"....HE HAS NO INTEGRITY......LOL....Hello? That's kinda akin to dumb broads remaining silent about serious sexual harassment, "Just to keep their jobs!" Si, Amiga?? (sigh)...you slay me, girl....LOL Paula

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 31, 2019:

I haven't paid attention to him or any other news persona in quite some time. The ones that are worth listening closely to end up getting fired or suspended whenever they manage to offend someone and let's face it, that ain't hard. Maybe it's not so much a matter of integrity to him but rather keeping his job?

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 31, 2019:

Paula, I've often wondered if Anderson Cooper might be the one to take the high road and speak out against the blatant bias which exists.

A friend once told me that she can't help but like him and I should give him more credit! For what? He hasn't set himself apart, he's right in there with the rest, with the talking points and the leftist mantra.....don't see what she sees....or saw! Not sure if she still feels the same.

Suzie from Carson City on March 31, 2019:

Dear Anderson.....I want you to know, there was a time, about 3+ yrs ago, to be exact, when I actually liked you. I was even able to forgive you for working for CNN. I believed you were a fine reporter. I was especially interested when you aired from overseas in the midst of conflict.

I found the TV special with you and your mother, warm and endearing. I have a soft spot for Mother-son relationships.

But alas....the fondness I had for you seems so long ago and is now non-existent. I also want you to know how broken-hearted I am over your extreme bias and deceitful behavior. I'm holding out a tiny bit of hope that soon, you will look straight into the camera and sincerely apologize for your part in the disaster. (I won't insult you by explaining which disaster.....You know full well what I'm referring to) Please be bigger, better and more honest than your fellow-CNN hosts. I really want to like you again but it has to be authentic. I cannot and will not pretend. Peace, Paula

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 30, 2019:

I’ve been thinking more and more about the smugness of Hillary Clinton, throughout the campaign, as operation ‘Destroy Trump’ was in the works. Was she confident, because a surefire plan to take down Trump, leaving the Presidency to her, which she was privy to, was coming together so perfectly, with MSM’s help?

If not for the American people from coast to coast {and all of that flyover Country in between}, if not for the better campaigner, Donald J. Trump, if not for the genius of our Founding Fathers....

While I am highly suspicious, I’ll not make stuff up in order to destroy Hillary, I’ll wait for the evidence to come out.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 30, 2019:

Thank you James, yes it was and we can’t let it slide.

James A Watkins from Chicago on March 30, 2019:

Thank you for this excellent message. This was the worst scandal in American history.

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 29, 2019:

Well then, no wonder we get along. You understand me. Actually, there are very few of my closest friends who can translate me with ease. They know what I mean before I know what I mean, if you know what I mean. hahaha

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 29, 2019:

I apparently have them (the bots) completely discombobulated all of the time.. ;)

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 29, 2019:

That's weird. I thought it was mostly on topic, but hey, HP does what it does. And it wouldn't be the first time I make connections that don't make sense to others without explaining the thoughts in between. Sometimes that's a good thing, like when it fuels my creativity. Other times, I just confuse the bots. LOL

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 29, 2019:

I just approved your comment from 65 minutes ago, I didn't see it, it was being treated as spam. :(

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 29, 2019:

Awww, thanks! Missed you, too.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 29, 2019:

P.S. I've missed you!

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 29, 2019:

It's good to research and dig, but who exactly is the "trusted source" now? Sometimes I want just the facts to decide for myself rather than listen to everyone else's interpretation of them. But that's not necessarily a good thing either since I'm more a glass half full kind of person and tend to see the good before the bad.

Yes, the schools drive me nuts lately, especially hers. It's not the first time I've had to call the school to see what exactly was going on. Or that they've had to call me to tell me about something happening. On the other hand, when my kids come to me with concerns about the personal safety of someone they know, I can always call the school counselor and feel like they are taking it seriously. She had one "friend" posting pictures of her slit wrists all over the internet. I contacted the counselor who, of course, couldn't give me much info other than to tell me that they are aware of the issue and that she was okay, whatever that meant. As okay as she could be, I suppose. I'm assuming she was under some kind of medical/psychological care. In the case of the pockets, I'm thinking there is more to the story than she either knows or more to it than she is telling me. She

said no one had anything in the pockets, though.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 29, 2019:

It is always a good idea to go digging Shannon, especially when you feel as if the wool is being pulled over your eyes.

For those that are okay with whatever is being fed to them, wool over their eyes, their daily craving ‘fix’ of feel good.....good luck getting through life people!

I’d have to go to the school and find out what that was all about!

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 29, 2019:

If it's on the internet, it must be true. Or in the case of the news networks.

So before you think I'm being serious, let me tell you a quick funny. Maybe you'd have to know my daughter to think this is funny, but I'll try. She's got a sassy mouth sometimes and she's very sarcastic with her humor and sometimes her sass both. Yesterday she told me that she and two of her friends got asked to turn their pockets inside out at school gym class to empty the contents. She told me she was so glad she left her drugs at home yesterday and I told her that I hope she kept that quip to herself when they were doing their little check. Obviously, my daughter and her friends were and are always drug-free, which is obviously the reason for the sarcasm, but I'm sure a remark like that would not have been interpreted as humor by the people checking.

So anyway, she wondered why they suddenly asked them to do that. Could've been the weird things they were shouting out while another group of kids played basketball and they had to be on the sidelines. Could be someone else reported them for something and it had to be investigated for any truth. . .

It all reminds me of the media and the internet. Opinion pieces and editorials are one thing, but it's as if we have to fact check the supposed facts ourselves now. All I can say is that "truth-seekers" have more time and patience than I have. If a story gets to the point that I feel it necessary to go digging, I'm usually thoroughly disgusted by that point, more with the news stations than anything else.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on March 27, 2019:

Sadly, I don't either Pop. I keep waiting for some respectable News person from the past (present would be good too) to come forward and say enough, what the heck...as I've been waiting for someone from the Democratic Party to come forward and say enough....what the heck has happened to us, we aren't Anti-Semitic, we aren't socialists, we aren't haters, we aren't baby killers.....

breakfastpop on March 27, 2019:

True journalism is dying a very ugly death. It is going the way of common sense which died quite some time ago. The results of these deaths is catastrophic for our nation. All the false news and sick hatred of the president and his supporters is damaging to our country, our friendships and our families. This insanity has to end, but I just don't see that happening at the moment.
