Judson Phillips: How Extreme Is He? More Than A Little!
Judson Phillips, Founder and leader of the Tea Party Nation, finds the Methodist Church objectionable. He thinks they lean socialist, and might even advocate that they be disbanded. Mr. Phillips also believes that only property owners should vote (source Huffington Post). Besides Methodists, Phillips makes no pretenses of his dislike for anything Muslim. In an email he wrote to the Tea Party Nation in October of 2010, Mr. Phillips says:
"There are a lot of liberals who need to be retired this year, but there are few I can think of more deserving than Keith Ellison. Ellison is one of the most radical members of congress. He has a ZERO rating from the American Conservative Union. He is the only Muslim member of congress. He supports the Counsel for American Islamic Relations, HAMAS and has helped congress send millions of tax to terrorists in Gaza."
Mr. Phillips offered no proof that Congress sends millions of dollars to terrorists. He has not since been able to offer evidence of his views against Mr. Ellison, either. Additionally, Mr. Ellison is NOT the only Muslim Congressman.
Technology-Based RINO Hunting!
Judson, when talking about the debt ceiling vote, has a 100% or nothing philosphy. He states that any vote to approve the debt ceiling will be tantamount to treason by Tea Party devotees and as soon as he determines a location for the National Tea Party Convention, promises to unleash a new hunting method designed to ferret out any candidate that is not worthy of Tea Party support. “Upon final approval of this strategic new location by our funders and convention board,” said Phillips, “we’ll be unveiling an amazing, technology-based strategy for hunting RINOs and defeating Democrats in 2012, starting with this fall’s Tea Party National Convention.” Hunting RINOs?
Judson's politics and statements have been questioned in the past and his "no compromise, just say no" approach to raising the debt ceiling are especially questioned now. Phillips has the 'cut the baby in half' theory down pat. No matter that the economy of the US could be brought down if the Tea Party house members refuse to accept any version of a 'raise the debt ceiling' vote; the prospect of destroying the current government and starting over excites Phillips! Phillips intends to hold Tea party members accountable. Vote No or be branded.

Judson Phillips, founder of Tea Party Nation, one of the country's most prominent tea party organizations, really seems to despise the Methodist Church, or as he would call it, "the first Church of Karl Marx." In a recent blog post (subscription requ
