Joe Biden's Blundering White House

  • Author:
  • Updated date:

President Biden was overwhelmingly voted into the White House in the 2020 election. It was not stolen as Trumpian zombies continue to rant about. Trump lost because America was sick of Trump's crass personality and policies that were detrimental to many.

However, there are no excuses for Biden, either. While Biden has done much better than Trump did regarding the Covid situation in distributing the vaccines, Trump was responsible for getting the vaccines made in record time. But ever since the success of the vaccine distribution, Biden and Harris have simply made one error after another and their transparency is just a little better than Trump.

For many months, the Biden people knew about the growing crisis at the Texas border and did nothing until it became news on most networks. Texas took the matter into their owns because the Feds did little and continued to state there is no crisis. When there 10,000+ living under the bridge, finally they acknowledged there was an issue. But, still, it was not enough to even send VP Harris to the border and her response was like a smart ass teenager. It left a very bad impression with Biden's supporters.

Biden's catastrophic handling of the Afghanistan evacuation that was just as bad as it could be and haunts him still. Few Americans agree that Biden handled it well. It is now clear that Biden was rather opaque on the details provided to the public. His military experts all recommended to leave 2500+ men there at least until October until ALL Americans got out. Biden's only concern was getting out of the war by Sept. 11, and ignored the military advice. The terrorist attack that ensued and caused deaths to Americans is on his hands. He allowed the situation to become what it was. Many of his supporters remain very angry over it.

As for the first woman VP, Harris really seems like it was just a "token" running mate for the sake of history and women. She has amounted to nil. She has done nothing of importance and she seems to know it. She is the forgotten VP, much like Pence was. Her recent horrendous public appearance to promote space quickly got bad press once it was found out that most of the video was choreographed complete with paid child actors! There was nothing genuine about it, it was just a puff piece for her to do. She must personally feel angry about her meaningless VP position. So many are appalled by this latest blunder for Harris, who is a very intelligent woman but not presidential as many expected.

Biden continues to blunder with the current serious supply chain shortage .This was not a new problem that suddenly appeared. It is like the border crisis. Biden and others knew it was developing six months ago and did very little then. It was a wait and see thing. He did create a "team" to look into it but nothing was done to ease the clogged West Coast ports with so many container ships sitting outside the port waiting to dock. Inside the docked ships, 65 acres at the LA port contain hundreds of full containers awaiting for trucks. Many large firms are chartering container ships to bypass the backlog at great expense. All this extra cost is being passed onto the consumer via inflation. Bottom line is that Biden did not get serious about it until it was October, now, at best, the situation will not get better for another 3 months or more.

The Democrats, themselves, are divided and where is Biden much of the time? Biden should be doing more than he is to get the Democrats on the same page and include some Republicans to pass the infrastructure package to rebuild America. The problem is that the radical Dems what so many other programs attached to it making it way too costly. Biden seems to be refusing to take these radical Dems on.

No wonder that most polls have Biden at 45% approval and 55% disapproval. Biden is having nothing but bad luck because he his not making good decisions for America.

Bless you for that! We all have to stand together against this threat.

perrya (author) on October 18, 2021:

I can't agree with you more about Jan. 6 and the lasting effects.

Leslie McCowen from Cape Cod, USA on October 18, 2021:

Right. But this time, they refused a peaceful transfer of power and decided to try and stop it.

In my book, ANYTHING is peanuts compared to that.

Biden this, Biden that……those people violently tried to overthrow OUR gvt.

That’s the only thing that needs to be talked about until those freakos are all handled, imo. Every single one of them. No buying their way out.

And the one who did it should CERTAINLY not be free to run for president again! Destroy America again.

A president tried to disassemble our gvt and take it over with his goons…….

Scroll to Continue

Let’s talk about THAT.

And I’m sorry for going off topic. But it truly is a fact that America is in danger of falling to propaganda,

We will either have rule by law or law by rulers. Nasty rulers.

And cruelty is nothing to look forward to,

Ara Vahanian from LOS ANGELES on October 17, 2021:

The thing is that at least since about 1992, no matter who was elected as President, the people aren't happy. Some people will complain, that has been one of the features of the American political system in modern times. How can we please everybody? There's no way.

Leslie McCowen from Cape Cod, USA on October 16, 2021:

Inflation WILL pass. And seeing as how I have to pay more taxes every year of my working life, so people like Trump and the churches don’t have to….who gives a crap?

And sorry Biden didn’t get to YOUR issues fast enough. I can tell you, in 2016, I had zero desire to ban Muslims, or build a wall.

He is taking the issues he thinks are important, one by one. And his first is saving lives.

As far as Afghanistan, Americans were warned, starting in March, to get out of there. But, Covid slowed down the evacuation process.

And, you may agree with the generals, but others don’t.

“Blinken said the Biden administration was handcuffed by Trump’s agreement with the Taliban, which in part reduced the U.S. troop presence to 2,500 by the time Biden took office. With the Taliban continuing its “relentless” military campaign regardless of that agreement, Blinken said, Biden “immediately faced the choice between ending the war or escalating it.”

“Had [Biden] not followed through on his predecessor’s commitment, attacks on our forces and those of our allies would have resumed and the Taliban’s nationwide assault on Afghanistan’s major cities would have commenced,” Blinken said.

So you see? Get out or stay in. And I think this was planned to mess Biden up. The only goal of republicans is to do just that.

Well lucky for you, they have help.

Thanks to Manchin and Sinema, right wing rules continue, no matter who we elect for president. Neat trick, huh?

perrya (author) on October 16, 2021:

Leaving 2500 troops in Kabul area as Biden's generals advised him would have halted the rapid collapse of the city allowing the US to evac all Americans etc. It was a huge error. Not dealing with the now huge supply chain issue for many months is bad decision making when Biden and others saw the warning signs and the same applies to the immigration issue. Inflation hits everyone's pockets and again, Biden is refusing to be concerned about saying it will pass. It all looks like his "wait and see' attitudes are his downfall in the polls. He should have mitigated all these warning signs months ago.

Leslie McCowen from Cape Cod, USA on October 16, 2021:

Yes. Manchin is standing with fossil fuels, for his $500,000 a year.

Sinema is standing with big pharma, for her $750,000.

They will wreck dems proposals, and stand with the republicans in congress, who never want to spend money on anyone but the rich. Tax breaks were fine…..”we’ll lose our donors!”

Then people will blame Biden for not being able to convince those two to actually be the democrats they claim to be.

Money wins. Always in America. It’s capitalism, after all.

Death by greed. And always ….always blame those who try to do something for the people.

What the refrain? Oh yeah…”Communists”

Ara Vahanian from LOS ANGELES on October 15, 2021:

It seems to me that the original author of this article is focusing on the negatives. Let us not forget that Joe Biden has been President for only 8.5 months. The other thing is that Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema continue to put a roadblock on attempts to get the infrastructure deal done. In regards to the Afghanistan issue, how do you know that US soldiers wouldn't have been attacked if the Biden Administration left 2,500 troops there? It is a really tough foreign policy choice and the US had been there a LONG time anyway.

Leslie McCowen from Cape Cod, USA on October 15, 2021:

I get it. You blame Biden. How is that moderate? He didn’t start any of it. And 8 months is no time at all to “fix” what he’s facing.

And I said “I blame republicans, Manchin and Sinema for standing in the way of what we the people voted for.” Which they are.

They gave hundreds of trillions to the military, and 2.3 trillion to billionaires.

But 3.5 is too much for regular people?

I’d say I’m the moderate.

perrya (author) on October 15, 2021:

I see, well, you are an example of the far left supporters who blame it all on republicans and Trump, while, the far right nut cases, blame it all on Biden. In both cases, it showcases what is wrong with America, But, many like myself, a moderate puts blame where it should go even though I did vote for Biden.

Leslie McCowen from Cape Cod, USA on October 15, 2021:

The only thing I’m not happy with is reopening the death penalty for the so- called Boston Bomber.

I believe that kid is a patsy.

Everything else you stated is just your opinion. And I have the right to differ.

There was no good way to get out of Afghanistan. I reserve my anger at those who put us in there in the first place. And even then, they did some wonderful things for Afghani women.

What border crisis? Everyone has the right to seek asylum here, just as your ancestors did. It’s a problem Trump and Sessions created by their inhumane policies.

I don’t see any difference with Harris, Pence or Biden when he was vp. It has always been somewhat of a token office, imo.

And anything having to do with Covid is not Biden’s fault. The supply chain has been messed up since March 2020. Or didn’t you experience no toilet paper or disinfecting supplies when the pandemic first hit?

Biden has been in there 8.5 months.

I see great improvement, and I put the blame on anything I Covid related on those who won’t accept that it’s real and extremely dangerous.

And I blame republicans, Manchin and Sinema for standing in the way of what we the people voted for.

perrya (author) on October 15, 2021:

I see, you are happy with his handling of the evac from Afghanistan, ignoring military advisors just to meet a 9\11 deadling? Happy with how he ignored the border crisis for months until media exposed it? Happy with the token use of the VP? Happy with the supply line mess that he did little about for six months until it got really backed up? Biden is so far a shit show except for Covid.

Leslie McCowen from Cape Cod, USA on October 15, 2021:

I disagree 100%.

They are working hard to restore a gvt that was being taken apart, bit by bit.

I try and read what they actually have done and are doing.

Media always loves a shit show. And they are giving you one.

My opinion.
