A Riot at the U.S. Capital
A mob of Americans upset that the election did not go their way swarmed the U.S. capital. A riot ensued. The rabble terrorized supporters of the new President. They carried signs with explicit threats of violence against those who voted for the man who beat their candidate. They went on a rampage of vandalism, looting, arson, and vicious attacks on police officers. Hundreds of rioters were arrested.
Not one Democrat criticized the violence, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The news media never suggested that any Democrat ought to denounce the mayhem. None of the insurrectionists would be charged with any serious offenses. Instead, they were immediately released, and all charges eventually, quietly, dropped without punishment or criminal record.
These were the events at the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump in 2017.
More Riots Break Out at the Capital
In 2018, Democrats stormed Washington, D.C., to disrupt the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The enraged, screaming mob occupied the offices of the United States Senate, attacked the Supreme Court, harassed senators, and obstructed the official proceedings.
The media poured forth adoration on the rioters. "It's understandable," they gushed. "This is what democracy looks like."
Senator Elizabeth Warren incited the mob. Journalists adored her for it. Linda Sansour planned the attacks and led the menacers. The media glorified her name. She stated, “Disrupting the hearings was a way for us to go directly into the homes of the American people to say, ‘We will not be silenced, and you need to be as outraged as we are.’”
NPR reported, "At least 227 demonstrators were arrested between the start of the nomination hearings on Tuesday and the end of testimony on Friday, according to the U.S. Capitol Police. Most of those charged this week with disorderly conduct, crowding, or obstructing paid fines of $35 or $50.”
Antifa Black Lives Matter Riots
To prevent the reelection of President Trump by terrorizing his voters, Black Lives Matter and Antifa went on a rampage during the summer of 2020. In over four months of sustained violent riots, they would attack police stations, city halls, and state capitols; burn churches; plunder and pillage businesses in cities across the country. This was an organized conspiracy of political violence aimed at destruction and intimidation.
It began with browbeating diners in restaurants, assaulting police officers, and blocking traffic. Emboldened by Democrat mayors who ordered the police to stand down, the scum intensified their efforts. They would pull elderly white men and women out of their cars to beat them, mob homes, loot, set fire to buildings, stab, and shoot innocent bystanders.
BLM and Antifa attacked the police with hammers, cans of vegetables, bricks, bottles of frozen piss, and Molotov cocktails. They tried to blind them with lasers. They even blocked ambulances from bringing injured officers to emergency rooms and attempted to burn down federal buildings with people inside. Some of them got away with murder.
The first two weeks of rioting caused $2 billion in damage. That does not include the violence unleashed the rest of the year. Violent mobs of Democrats destroyed 700 buildings, set federal courthouses ablaze, decimated neighborhoods, ruined small businesses. Seven hundred officers of the law were wounded, and thirty innocent citizens murdered. According to Princeton University, "Three months of Black Lives Matter protests included nearly 570 violent demonstrations — riots — in nearly 220 locations spread across the country. These were the costliest riots in the history of our country.”
Reaction to Democrat Riots
The news media praised the Democrat riots. The Associated Press prohibited the word ‘riots’ in its reporting, demanding that reporters deem the felonious violence merely “unrest.” Most newspapers and magazines ran numerous stories glorifying the crimes and carnage, what they called “legitimate protest” in the name of “social justice.” The Democrat riots were “the only way oppressed people can be heard,” they pronounced.
Chris Cuomo on CNN rebuked naysayers, “Please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful.” Don Lemon asserted that the riots were like the Boston Tea Party: “This is how our country started!” After vicious riots in Washington D.C., black residents invited rioters into their homes to hide them from the police. Andrea Mitchell honored them as “Good Samaritans” on NBC.
The Democrat Party never uttered any disapproval about the violent actions of its activists. Kamala Harris and many other prominent Democrats endorsed terrorism and set up funds to bail out their criminals. They justified looting and arson. During leftist riots, Kamala Harris affirmed, “It’s no wonder people have taken to the streets. I support them.”
The same Democrats who ringed the Capitol with an army in 2021, in the months before called the government defending Americans against mobs of terrorists “fascism.”
AOC announced, “The whole point of protesting is to make people uncomfortable.” Her fellow Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley declared, “People need to start taking to the streets in opposition to Trump. There needs to be unrest in the streets." Nancy Pelosi proclaimed, “I just don't know why there aren't uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be.” When 140 federal officers were injured defending the Portland Federal Courthouse against Antifa, Pelosi denounced the officers as Nazi “stormtroopers.”
All this violence provoked no investigation by the FBI or DOJ. This despite such attacks as one described by Chad Wolf of the DHS: “277 federal officers were injured trying to defend the courthouse, assaulted with, among other weapons, mortar-style commercial-grade fireworks, accelerants, IEDs, sledgehammers, concrete, and slingshots. Officers have suffered chemical burns, bloody wounds, and attacks with blinding lasers, leaving some of our colleagues with eye injuries.”
Instead of condemnation, Democrat reporters, actors, and politicians openly called for more violence to intimidate and terrorize supporters of President Trump leading up to the 2020 election – and afterward if Trump won. Forty-one percent of Democrats said, "violence will be justified if President Trump wins reelection." News organizations broadcast these threats across the country to frighten voters.
Reaction to Capitol Protests
January 6, 2021, saw hundreds of thousands of Americans trek to Washington D.C. to protest election fraud peacefully. The Democrats and their media arms had an opposite reaction this time. Millions of times, magazine or newspaper articles and television news shows have labeled it an "Insurrection." Not one person has been charged with insurrection, which is a defined crime: "Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”
Democrats declared it was "the worst day in American history," "a coup" by "traitors," a "terrorist attack" that was "an existential threat to the United States." That is untethered from reality. Democrats compared the protestors to Al-Qaeda and ISIS, who have massacred a hundred thousand people. Democrats and their media sycophants insanely claim that January 6 was “worse than Pearl Harbor” (2,335 dead), “worse than 9/11” (2,996 dead), “worse than the Civil War” (650,000 dead). Only one person was killed, and she was a protestor murdered by the police.
Democrats and their media lapdogs call it “the deadliest attack in two centuries.” The height of stupidity. In 1954, Puerto Rican terrorists attacked the Capitol and shot five members of Congress. In 1971, Barack Obama's mentor Bill Ayres and his terrorist outfit bombed the Capitol. In 1983, Democrats bombed the Capitol. In 1998, a leftist shot and killed two police officers inside the Capitol and made it into the offices of Republican House of Representative leaders before being stopped.
The media put out one phony story after another, including one about a plot to kidnap or kill congressional members. Not one conservative praised the protestors. President Trump had held five hundred rallies without any violence or rioting. Companies began firing people who came to D.C. to exercise their right to protest peacefully but went nowhere near the Capitol. The House again tried to impeach President Trump for "inciting supporters who killed law enforcement personnel"—a total lie as none were killed, and Trump did not incite anyone.
Representative Cicilline of Rhode Island preposterously claimed, “violent insurrectionist criminals killed police officers.” Cicilline ludicrously cried, “Senators, remember, as one of you said, during this attack, they could have killed us all—our staff, the officers protecting all of us, everyone.” “We came close to half of the House nearly dying,” wailed the lying AOC. Congressman Raskin laughably asserted, “All around me, people were calling their wives and their husbands, their loved ones to say goodbye.” Not one member of Congress suffered any harm whatsoever.
Ridiculous assertions about the whole thing came from the media. Listen to how they describe their experiences of January 6: “I have emotional scars.” “I sought therapy to deal with the trauma.” “I’m not sleeping like I used to.” “‘It was traumatizing. But I kept reporting. If I went down, I was going to go down fighting.” “I ended up with PTSD.”
One reporter referred to “journalists who survived that day” as if any didn’t. None of them were even hurt. "Wasson said he'd had guns drawn on him by Cambodian soldiers when he was working overseas. Desjardins has covered war, earthquakes, and hurricanes. Bresnahan has covered natural disasters and murder scenes. But this was different. We cannot fail to call it what it was: It was an insurrection. They tried to destroy democracy.”
Really? A few hundred unarmed middle-aged protestors were making a serious attempt at revolution? That is hilarious.
The Capitol Peaceful Protests
President Trump spoke at a rally on January 6 to a crowd of 800,000 patriots. Afterward, thousands strolled down to the Capitol to protest election fraud. When they arrived, there were men with bullhorns urging them to go inside. Trump supporters had no idea it was a setup to frame and imprison them. A few hundred of them walked up the steps, and smiling Capitol Police waved them in.
They had no idea that on the other side of the Capitol, agents provocateurs were busting down barricades, pushing police, and scaling the walls in what looked like a military invasion. Of course, this was staged for the cameras so the media could conflate events that transpired on opposite sides of the Capitol.
Stop the Steal had held 500 rallies with no arrests, the most peaceful movement in American history. It was organized by a black man routinely denounced in the media as a white supremacist. Ali Alexander had a permit to protest on Capitol grounds.
There are 400 million guns in America—more guns than people. No firearms were found among January 6th protestors. That alone makes ridiculous the claim that they launched an “insurrection” or “coup.”
The FBI admits no premeditated plan—aside from its own—existed. A few people who went into the Capitol broke into offices. Some committed piddling vandalism. Most walked around admiring the place and posed for selfies. Not one person has been charged with sedition or conspiracy.
The media generated a lie that protestors beat a police officer to death. Another lie was promulgated that "rioters killed five people." Protestors killed precisely no one. No one died except supporters of the President who passed from natural causes—except one lady. Ashli Babbitt, murdered by the police.
Until recently, the government refused to show us the video footage from January 6. Now that we have it, we see 309 people orderly filing into the Capitol, casually waved in by law enforcement officers who opened doors for them. Many walked around a few minutes and went right back out again. We see no mad rush, weapons, or violence. It certainly does not look like anyone is there to murder members of Congress. Or seize the reins of power. And yet, Democrats launched “the most extensive investigation in the history of the FBI.”
As Charles Turot writes in the American Thinker: “We know there was no insurrection, coup, or “sedition.” Insurrection is an organized rebellion with the intent of toppling a government. A coup d’état, or coup, is the seizure of political power by illegal or violent means. Insurrections and coups often involve the military. Always, they involve weaponry. Sedition is the act of encouraging them.”
Monica Showalter observes in the same magazine, “This presumably should have offered some pitched battles, explosions, blood in the streets, heads on pikes, mobs with torches, and lots and lots of guns, the way other people's insurrections do.” No one was there to topple the U.S. government.
The entire event was over in less than seven hours. Meanwhile, in Portland, Antifa rioted at the Hatfield Federal Courthouse—a federal building as much as the Capitol is—for 120 straight nights, repeatedly trying to burn it down with people inside.
The media announced that the protestors caused $30 million in damage to the Capitol. We now know that was a lie, too. The damage was about $1 million. The Black Lives Matter Antifa riots cost billions.
Why Conservatives Were Protesting
Political violence by Democrats has become a standard feature of our lives. A supporter of Bernie Sanders shot Republicans trying to play baseball for charity in 2017, severely wounding Congressman Scalise. A Democrat upset about his political views attacked and seriously injured Senator Rand Paul. Republicans, including members of the Trump administration, were publicly harassed and threatened with physical violence countless times over the past five years. Their homes, with children inside, have been surrounded by menacing mobs. Rioters burned down American cities in what was political terrorism.
Democrat politicians and their media minions have made it clear that all this violence is perfectly acceptable. It is the “only way for the oppressed to be heard, the only way to get justice.” We must “try to understand the rioters and their complaints.”
Months and months of violent riots across our land were encouraged by Democrats from all influential segments of our society. But the one time conservatives get a bit heated, they are branded "domestic terrorists" and held for months in solitary confinement under inhumane conditions without a trial. So, riots are “great for me but not for thee,” according to the Left.
Conservatives were protesting for many reasons. The way President Trump and his family, staff, and supporters have been viciously treated made us righteously angry. No previous president has been mistreated and vilified by one hoax after another, starting with the phony Russian Collusion Hoax.
Conservatives are rightly upset about the way social media has censored them. They were disgusted, as they should have been, by our national press declaring itself 'the resistance' to President Trump and working around the clock to subvert his administration through daily lies about him and his voters—a constant barrage of Fake News.
It was right to be furious about the Hunter Biden laptop story being censored until after the 2020 election, along with the truth about the Biden family's corruption via payoffs and bribes by China. Add to that the lying about the origin of the virus and the taking away of all our liberties during masking and lockdowns, crushing small businesses and churches. Then the massive election fraud topped it off.
So yes, conservatives came to Washington to peacefully make their voices heard. President Trump did not incite or encourage what happened in the Capitol, as Democrats falsely claim. The protest there began while he was giving a speech half an hour away. Security was light because everybody knows conservatives do not riot. Still, the Democrats have used January 6 to brand all Trump supporters “domestic terrorists” and “white supremacists.”
A study by the University of Chicago reveals that those arrested at the Capitol were primarily professional people and small business owners who lived in Democrat districts. They were disturbed by rampant, blatant voter fraud in their cities. They were not 'Q' followers. Only a handful had anything to do with Oath Keepers or Proud Boys or any organized group. The FBI now admits that neither of those groups had plans to storm the Capitol or engage in violence.
January 8, 2020, The New York Times invented the false story that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was struck in the head with a fire extinguisher and died from the blow. The Times’ story claimed a mob incited by President Trump “overpowered Sicknick” and “struck him in the head with a fire extinguisher,” after which, “with a bloody gash in his head, Mr. Sicknick was rushed to the hospital and placed on life support.” The most famous newspaper in America stated, “President Trump is a murderer.”
The Capitol is probably the most surveilled building in the world, not to mention the hundreds of people who were there holding cell phone video cameras. Any video footage or photographs of the murder of Officer Sicknick? Nope.
Every prominent Democrat in the country spread what they knew to be a lie. Here are some prime examples from our media:
The Associated Press: "Sicknick, 42, was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher during a struggle."
Slate: "Police Officer That Rioters Hit With Fire Extinguisher Dies, Making Capitol Siege a Murder Scene."
New York Daily News: "Hero Capitol Police cop killed by blow to the head with a fire extinguisher during Trump-inspired riot."
Bloomberg News: “Sicknick was hit with a fire extinguisher because of Trump’s speech.”
NBC News: “Sicknick was clubbed to death by a fire extinguisher by a pro Trump mob.”
The New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristoff: “Sicknick clubbed to death with a fire extinguisher by Trump’s mob.”
St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Gregg Favre: “Before his death, Officer Sicknick was knocked unconscious with a fire extinguisher. While down, the crowd continued to hit him. Some with American flags.”
This false story would become the best-known part of the Capitol Protests. The media made sure of it. And for good reason: Without it, Democrats could not attribute any deaths to Trump supporters.
Not surprisingly, this fake news became the centerpiece of yet another phony impeachment proceeding against President Trump. The articles of impeachment declare, “Trump supporters killed law enforcement personnel.” House impeachment managers explicitly proclaimed, “the insurrectionists killed a Capitol Police officer by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher.”
What is truly strange is that Sicknick was reported dead in the media while he was still very much alive. The media called his family for comment before he died, which he did the next day from a stroke. His mother rejected the Democrats' fictitious weapon with which to bludgeon Trump supporters. “He wasn’t hit on the head, no. We think he had a stroke,” said Gladys Sicknick the next day. His brother also poo-pooed the story. Ken Sicknick said his brother texted him hours after the Capitol protests were over that he was doing just fine.
Meanwhile, Democrats made a big show of putting on an enormous funeral for Sicknick. He became the fifth person in history to lie in state in the Capitol rotunda. But he wasn't there. Apparently, without the Sicknick family's permission or knowledge, the Washington D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner submitted the "OCME Online Permit" application form for "cremation." Moreover, the documents state that this "transaction was completed successfully." One day after his death!
We only know this because Judicial Watch uncovered the truth months later. At the time, there were no autopsy results, no death certificate, and no medical report. But there was a cremation.
Finally, four weeks later, the Medical Examiner confessed to CNN that they did not find any signs to indicate Sicknick "sustained any blunt force trauma" or that he had been attacked at all. This was followed up by the issuance of the official report of April 19 by Francisco J. Diaz, Chief Medical Examiner for Washington, in which he concludes he found “no evidence of internal or external injuries.” Nor, as was also reported, did the deceased “suffer from an allergic reaction after being sprayed with chemical irritants.”
As Julie Kelly reports in American Greatness: “Scores of verified Twitter users still have posts online promoting the lie to their followers. Will Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who launched an aggressive campaign to censor and deplatform users spreading “disinformation” about the 2020 election, take similar steps to ban any content related to the fire extinguisher lie?
“The sad reality is even if every news outlet, journalist, editor, pundit, lawmakers, and social media user admitted the story was false, millions of Americans will refuse to believe the truth. Blinded by hatred for Trump and his supporters, willfully brainwashed by their favorite cable news host or Washington Post columnist, these folks once again will reject facts just as they’ve done over and over in the Trump era. And the news media know they can get away with it. No one gets fired, no one apologizes, no one faces public humiliation. There is no reckoning, which is why they will do it again.”
The only person killed at the Capitol that day was Ashli Babbitt, a 5’2” 110 lbs. woman who had served her country for 14 years in the Air Force. She made the mistake of trying to climb through an inner window of the Capitol. There were heavily armed police officers right behind her, the video shows. She had no weapon; she threatened no one, she attacked no one. Suddenly Michael Byrd of the Capitol Police jumped out from hiding, without warning, and shot her dead.
Ashli Babbitt’s family filed a wrongful death lawsuit. Their attorney Terry Roberts issued this statement:
“Universal law enforcement standard outlines how officers should use no more force than necessary to accomplish a lawful purpose. An arrest could have easily been accomplished by a single officer with a set of handcuffs. However, the officer who shot Ashli never attempted to arrest her. Nor did he call on his fellow officers to arrest her. Instead, he fired a shot into her chest. Witnesses confirm that the officer did not give Ashli a single verbal warning prior to firing. In fact, Ashli was not even aware that the officer was present, as he was in the doorway of a room off to the side of her field of vision. The way he did it — hiding in a room and then popping out and firing — is a problem. If his objective was to stop her, he didn’t need to shoot. He could have got out in front of her and used a number of other methods of less-lethal force.”
Democrats claim, “What he did was unbelievable heroism. He stopped a potential massacre.” Officer Byrd claimed he heard reports of shots fired in the building. He lied.
"That was an execution," said Jack Feeley, a fellow Air Force vet, and friend of Babbitt. A former Pentagon official agreed: “It was an assassination. I’ve never seen a clearer case in all my years.” “I’m not sure how he was justified shooting her when there was a SWAT team right behind her,” added a veteran Capitol officer, “They saw no immediate threat.”
If Ashli Babbitt had been a black 12-time felon instead of an unarmed white woman, Democrats would have been outraged. Kamala Harris would proclaim, ‘Ashli Babbitt Day.’ Black Lives Matter would shout in your face, “SAY HER NAME!”
If the slain woman had been black, we would see parks, plazas, streets, and legislation named for her. Rioters would burn down neighborhoods, rob, rape, assault, and murder bystanders with impunity, while the police watched. Anyone who stood up to the rioters would be arrested for being insufficiently ‘woke.’
Had Ashli Babbitt been lucky enough to be born with black privilege, the worldwide media would be hailing her right now as a hero, a martyr, and a victim, who racist police officers murdered simply because of her skin tone. But because she was white, she is portrayed in the media as a villain, a miscreant malefactor who deserved to die because she supported President Trump.
In response to all the above, Democrats militarized the Capitol for the first time in our history. In what has been called "fascist theatre," $500 million was spent to deploy 26,000 troops around the building. The message? You are now living in a police state.
The soldiers were given shoot-to-kill orders forbidden during Democrat riots and the ongoing invasion at our southern border. Moreover, Democrats are purging the military and the police of conservatives. The armed forces are being politicized for the first time in our nation's history. One must align with the worldview of progressives, or one must quit.
Domestic Terrorism Act of 2021
In a new twist, we should have seen coming, Democrats have declared that the hundreds of thousands of Capitol Protesters were all "White Supremacists." They have drawn up legislation named "Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021." Congressman Vincente González explains, “the Domestic Terror Prevention Act is more important than ever as we work to root out and rid America of this cancer.”
By cancer, he means white conservatives. The press release for the legislation mentions "white supremacist" and "white nationalist" ten times. The bill legalizes government terrorism against white citizens deemed guilty of "hate crimes," meaning speaking out against or protesting Democrat policies. It authorizes the destruction of businesses, confiscation of homes, censorship, and incarceration of white conservatives.
Democrats now have authorized 38 private companies to spy on conservative Americans.
October 2021 Riots in DC
In October 2021, a violent mob stormed a federal building in D.C. They attacked and injured police officers, illegally occupied the building, and committed vandalism. While hundreds were arrested, they were quickly let go, and charges dropped because they were Democrat environmentalists.
No one called it an insurrection, even though the rioters were angry with the government. The Democrat administration did not condemn the riot or the breach and destruction of federal property. The official word: “The Interior Department leadership believes strongly in respecting and upholding the right to free speech and peaceful protest.”
Antifa and BLM Involved in Capitol Riot
Let’s go back to January 6, 2020. Antifa and Black Lives Matter activist John Sullivan was arrested for instigating a riot at and in the Capitol that day. On social media, Sullivan boasted about infiltrating the Trump rally wearing Trump apparel. He videoed himself breaking several laws and destroying federal property. For his actions, CNN paid him and sent one of its photojournalists, Jade Sacker, to coordinate a "storming of the Capitol." The idea was to incite chaos that would be blamed on supporters of President Trump. Sacker is on video joyously celebrating: "We did it!”
Sullivan encouraged Ashli Babbitt to enter the Capitol and crawl through that window as he filmed her being shot and killed. It turns out Sullivan is a federal informant. He was not the only Antifa activist at the Capitol pretending to be a Trump supporter. There were plenty more, the evidence for which was found in Sullivan’s social media groups.
Did the FBI Foment a Riot as a False Flag Operation?
There were other instigators at the Capitol that day posing as supporters of President Trump. FBI agents with their radio earpieces, ominously dressed in black bloc costumes complete with balaclavas. We see them scaling the walls of the Capitol with professional climbing equipment. They were the first men to break the law that day, but none of them has been arrested.
It is important to note that while undercover FBI agents plan and incite criminal activity to ensnare and entrap innocent citizens, as in the Governor Whitmer kidnap plot, where 12 of the 18 conspirators were FBI agents, they always tell their followers, "What we are about to do is illegal." This is to make it easier to prosecute them later.
In a House hearing, Congressman Massey asked Attorney General Garland about “man of mystery” Rap Epps. Epps planned the entering of the Capitol building the day before and led the protestors in on January 6. Epps orchestrated the first breach of the barricades.
The day before, Epps held a crowded meeting in which he urged everyone to storm the Capitol the next day. On video, we see Epps say, “I probably shouldn’t say this because I’ll probably get arrested. We need to go in - to the Capitol.”
Epps was not alone. He had several accomplices who remained unidentified. Their job was to break through the police lines and induce unsuspecting protesters to trespass on restricted Capitol grounds and thus place themselves in legal jeopardy.
We must remember that usually, the Capitol is open to the public. It was only closed for Covid, and many people probably did not know it was illegal to be in there.
Ray Epps was initially on the FBI Capitol Violence Most Wanted List. He was quietly removed on July 1. Epps is a free man. Even though he clearly instructed his commandos and the crowds to let nothing stop them from rushing into the Capitol, he has never been arrested or charged with any crime. The Justice Department and the FBI refuse to comment on Epps.
House Committee on January 6
Do not expect Nancy Pelosi’s Soviet-style show trials to shed any truth on the Capitol Protests. Indeed, the purpose of the ‘House Committee on January 6” is to hide the involvement of Antifa, BLM & the FBI. In the long, long history of Congress, this is the first official investigation conducted by only one party.
The Committee has subpoenaed mountains of records from the telecommunication carriers of average citizens who came to the protest and Republican politicians. That represents an unconstitutional invasion of the rights of peaceful, law-abiding Americans. The Committee intends to show it is against the law to dispute election results or even disagree with leftist politics period.
Save yourself the breathless anticipation of the results. We already know what they’ll be: “President Trump incited an insurrection, and all of his 75 million supporters are white supremacists. Even those who are not white.”
Capitol Protestors Mistreated
Trump supporters arrested for sauntering around in the Capitol have been mistreated. The Democrat administration, as is typical of communist totalitarians, is severely violating their constitutional rights, treating them as political prisoners. According to a government prosecutor, a "shock and awe" campaign was intentionally designed to intimidate conservatives that might plan to protest in the future.
Hundreds of Trump supporters were held for over seven months without trial, denied bail, many in solitary confinement, without specific charges filed against them. The legal right to a speedy trial within 70 days is ignored. Our government possesses evidence that would show their innocence. Still, it has been withheld from the defendant's lawyers—a violation of the law.
Despite absurd claims by Democrats’ media arms, not one defendant is charged with insurrection, sedition, or conspiracy to overthrow the government. Most are merely accused of trespassing or "parading.” But are you trespassing if you are invited in? The Department of Justice concedes,” We possess some information that the defense may view as supportive of arguments that law enforcement authorized defendants (including Defendant) to enter the restricted grounds', e.g., images of officers hugging or fist-bumping rioters, posing for photos with rioters, and moving bike racks.”
The protestors are imprisoned in sickening conditions. Even Elizabeth Warren rebukes their maltreatment. The Trump-hater admonished, “Solitary confinement is a form of punishment that is cruel and psychologically damaging. And we’re talking about people who haven’t been convicted of anything yet. I am worried that law enforcement officials are deploying it to 'punish' the January 6 defendants or to break them so that they will cooperate."
For years Democrats have called for the elimination of police SWAT teams. But when they were deployed to arrest Capitol trespassers at their homes in the middle of the night, Democrats cheered. Even people who have been cooperating with the feds and voluntarily came in for interrogations find their doors blown open at 3:00 AM, their house surrounded with armored vehicles, and their children threatened with machine guns.
In America, you are not supposed to be punished before you are convicted of a crime. One prisoner, Nathan DeGrave, snuck a letter out of his prison cell, in which he described the conditions. DeGrave claims prisoners are forced to wear masks 24 hours a day in solitary confinement or be beaten by guards. He alleges that privileged legal documents are confiscated, medical treatment denied for broken bones and cancer, cells covered in mold, filled with raw sewage, filthy drinking water, cold and inedible food, denial of personal hygiene, prohibition on visitors, access to lawyers blocked, religious services forbidden. All these privileges are readily provided to non-political prisoners.
These men are the only white conservatives in the jail and are subject to racial abuse by black prisoners and guards. The guards are migrants from Africa who hate America, hate President Trump, hate conservatives, and hate white men.
Judge Royce Lamberth charged Corrections Director Quincy Booth and Prison Warden Wanda Patten with contempt of court for their mistreatment of the people behind bars for supporting President Trump. The judge ordered a civil rights investigation, particularly about the denial of medical treatment. U.S. Marshalls sprang a surprise visit and reported horrible conditions, including guards abusing the political prisoners right in front of them. Four hundred inmates were ordered transferred to a better facility. But zero Trump supporters.
The Director of the Public Defender’s Office, Avis Buchanan, issued this statement:
“The inhumane conditions have included long-term solitary confinement for people with no disciplinary issues, lack of running water, full illumination of cells for 24-hours per day resulting in sleep deprivation, cells soiled with feces and blood, lack of air conditioning during the summer, and heat during the winter, lack of proper medical care, failure to provide mental health treatment, and physical and mental abuse by correctional officers of people in their custody.”
When Islamic terrorists were captured and taken to Guantanamo after 9/11, fifty of America's top law firms defended them for free (pro bono). One of those firms, Wilmer and Hale, explained why: “Establishing a proper defense for Gitmo detainees was about as important as anything we could take on. It's indispensable to have strong advocacy on behalf of criminal defendants — even if the allegations are unsavory — because our entire process hinges on the protection of the citizen and that the government has to meet the highest burden, which is beyond a reasonable doubt, in order to convict them of a crime.”
Not one of those law firms has offered any help to the Americans who have been held in jail without bond since January for going into the Capitol. Most of the prisoners have never been arrested before and do not know how the system works. Unable to afford a lawyer, they are represented by progressive public defenders who openly loathe them.
Even the far left-wing extreme extremists at Politico confess: “Although prosecutors have loaded up their charging documents with language about the existential threat of the insurrection to the republic, the actions of many of the individual rioters often boiled down to trespassing.”
The most serious charge against any of the defendants is assault. As Julie Kelly reports, “The thoughtcrime of doubting the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election has been cited in charging documents and during detention hearings, another clear indication the probe is about retribution and silencing rather than justice.”
Paul Hodgkins was the first protestor to be sentenced. He pled guilty to a felony charge of “obstructing,” thereby forfeiting his right to vote or own a gun for life—precisely the penalties most sought by Democrats. He also got eight months in prison. Hodgkins had strolled into the Capitol, walked around for 25 minutes, and walked back out. The problem is that he did so wearing a t-shirt and waving a flag that expressed support for President Trump.
Ron Paul writes: "The recent felony conviction and an eight-month prison sentence of January 6th protester Paul Hodgkins is an affront to any notion of justice. It is a political charge and a political verdict by a political court. Worse than this miscarriage of justice is the despicable attempt by the prosecutor in the case to label Hodgkins – who has no criminal record and was accused of no violent crime – a “terrorist.”
The prosecutor owned up to the fact that Hodgkins is "not under the legal definition a domestic terrorist," despite insisting on calling him precisely that during sentencing. The prosecution conceded, “Hodgkins did not personally engage in or espouse violence or property destruction. Once inside the Capitol, he apologized to police officers for the trouble and offered medical care to an injured rioter. The government recognizes that Hodgkins did not personally destroy property or engage in any violence against law enforcement officers.” Still, Judge Chutkan, appointed by Obama, declared, “There have to be consequences for participating in an attempted violent overthrow of the government.”
Now many of us would say, “I would never plead guilty to something I didn’t do!” I’ll let Joel Duffie of the American Thinker rebut that kind of bravado:
“January 6 protesters are pleading guilty to crimes they didn't commit. They have been pronounced guilty without a trial, guilty until they can afford to be proven innocent. Many of these prisoners were denied bail. Unless you work for someone sympathetic to your situation, you will be fired for absenteeism. So now, you're not only incarcerated, but you're also unemployed.
“You're appointed a public defender, who receives a salary from the exact same government that's trying to send you to prison. Also, most public defenders hold those jobs either because they're incompetent or they lack the experience and skills needed to support a private practice.
“While you are incarcerated, the bills you had before being jailed continue to add up. The bank that holds the note to your house doesn't care that you're innocent. It wants the money you owe, with interest and late fees—ditto for your car or truck.
“Your arrest is public information, and there are people who pay attention to that information so they can take advantage of your misfortune. If you're single and live alone, your house will almost certainly be robbed within a few days. Criminals know there's nobody there to report that a crime has occurred, so when you're finally released from jail and report the crime, the chances of finding the perpetrator are slim to none.
“Eventually, you'll be offered a plea bargain. This plea bargain is contingent upon you standing before a judge and admitting that you're guilty of committing a crime. It's important to the system that you admit guilt because, once you do, you have almost no chance of winning a lawsuit for wrongful arrest. The day that they wouldn't release you from jail, and you couldn't afford bail, they became committed to proving you guilty at all costs because they had then denied you your freedom.”
Emily Grace Rainey, a Captain in the U.S. Army Psychological Operations Division, says January 6 was precisely that: PSYOPS by our government. A False Flag Operation. A setup to entrap anyone who supports Trump.
The organizers of the “insurrection” worked for the FBI, including Stewart Rhodes, founder and leader of the Oath Keepers. He has not been arrested.
The idea was for Democrat government operatives to use the peaceful protest of January 6 to create chaos. The Democrat media would then misinform the American public that the protestors were white supremacists trying to overthrow the government. Americans who love their country and love freedom had to be demonized. Patriotic citizens had to be silenced, intimidated and made afraid to protest. It remains to be seen if it will work.
