We should discuss Islamophobia in the context of today's world. The racist attitude of non-Muslims towards Muslims has recently increased. It's just happening in the western world - even in this twenty-first century, when you think about it, I assume that you don't know much about the current world situation. Islamophobia is now more prevalent in Muslim countries, including the Middle East, than it is now in America and Europe. The question is that, Islamophobia can be spreaded in non-Muslim countries but how can be in Muslim countries? In fact, if you keep a close eye on the country's media, you will see how anti-Muslim sentiment is propagated!

You can see some common events for Islamophobia, like-

– When you discuss about Islam or Muslim, you will see that some people are excited. You don't have to go to Europe to see this, you, just observe the behavior of the so-called progressives in the country.

– Spreading extreme anti-Muslim hatred on various online social platforms. This is very common. Recently, journalist Rana Ayub was threatened with rape and murder on his Twitter account. As far as I know Rana doesn't come to Facebook, in fact very few; One of the reasons for this is the expression of hateful behavior in his comment box, or even in the inbox.

– Religious discrimination in the academic institutions. In most cases, the victims of this discrimination are their own non-Muslim friends. This is happening on a large scale in India except in the West.

Recent studies have raised concerns that anti-Muslim sentiment and racism have long been deeply ingrained in Muslim-majority countries. Not only is Islamophobia active in people's minds in the form of concepts, but also public policy in Muslim-majority countries, state ideology, public relations with elite societies, and the fact that Islamophobia or anti-Muslim racism is or may be behind media's orientation- These thoughts were beyond our comprehension! So it is foolish to view Islamophobia as a binary of majority - minority. The media has the biggest role in this, if you see a little better. That's why, Malcolm X once said,

“The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.”

The binary of the ruling-powerless population should also be identified as the cradle of Islamophobia. Simply put, the ruling elite of a Muslim-majority country, or the military junta, can actively practice Islamophobia - to demoralize the powerless population by continuing to wage a political struggle against the ruling elite group by holding their religious identity. If the worldview of a Muslim-majority country or nation is Western-oriented, then Islamophobia is active as an epistemic "racism" among all ethnic groups. In this case, the elit westernized Muslim come face to face with conservative Muslim community. A thought has been inserted in their brain strongly that, “what is happening in the west, is all right”. They are called Orientalists. This new form of Islamophobia began to emerge when it was introduced as a criterion in the Muslim world. Islamophobia comes from the same ideological and epistemological background - both in the Muslim world and in the West. Because the discussion of Islamophobia, the debate - goes on in almost the same pattern in both societies. In the West, however, and in Muslim-majority societies there are differences in the practice and application of Islamophobia, and how this may be depends on the differences in the historical, social, demographic conditions (birth-death-population, etc.), and political perspectives of that country and nation.

Now the question, How can we identify Islamophobia?

In fact, we can roughly call any kind of anti-Muslim racism ‘Islamophobia’. Simply put, if someone falls victim to racism on a personal, social, or state level just to hold on to their “Muslim identity”, it is Islamophobia.

If a people wants to seize power, consolidate the occupied power, expand the scope of power - mark the Muslim people of the country backward, medieval barbarians by suppressing their way of life and depriving the Muslim people of their social and human rights and dignity; That is Islamophobia.

You can get an idea of how many types and how Islamophobia can happen by reading this book. (author Kawtar Najib is a French academic) If you want, you can take a look at the main topics from here.

The primary target of Islamophobia is to create a static or unchanging Muslim identity in a negative sense. For example - Muslim man means he wants to marry four, he is sexually promiscuous. Muslim man means against women's rights, Muslim woman means weak, uneducated and so on. Muslims are just uneducated, medieval, barbaric. This identity of Muslims has never changed since prehistoric times and will not change in the future.

After creating a static negative Muslim identity, all Muslims in all regions of the world are generalized on the scale of that same negative identity. This is one of the main problems.

Let's publish a survey. This gives you an idea of how much Islamophobia has increased in the West. The survey was conducted in European countries by a non-profit organization called EIR (European Islamophobia Report). The survey was conducted by 36 scholars in 31 European countries. Needless to say the details of the report, just look at the pictures:

Islamophobia may also spread nationally. In that case it acts as a political framework. Because Islamophobia seeks to establish the Muslim population as opposed to those in central power. At the same time, if the Muslim majority population of a state maintains a critical view of its epistemological Western elite population, Islamophobia also presents that critical Muslim population as an enemy of society and the state as a form of racial governance. Under their state patronage, repression is sought.

You will be amazed how much western world costs to spread Islamophobia! between 2006 and 2013, about $ 200 million was spent in America to spread hatred and animosity against Muslims!

This is according to a report written in Al Jazeera. And the Guardian report has said 206 million! Just think about the account for a while !!

See the stats published by EIR:

Sometimes Islamophobic proponents borrow the term 'Islami-fascism' from Samuel P. Huntington's "Clash of Civilizations" to run counter-fascist acts against Muslim identities and customs, in which case they create their narratives based on European Judio-Christian ideology.

The imperialist superpowers are still active in their former colonial geopolitical domain in the name of world education. Muslims are less relevant as a political force in Muslim minority countries. But an easy way to maintain their influence over the Muslim-majority countries that were once their colonial clients is to present their religious-social and cultural identities in a dehumanized way and to redefine humanity without questioning the relevance of Western secular ideology.

However, in the world of western knowledge, many western intellectuals criticized their racism in education, religion and others. Such as British sociologist Anthony Giddens, philosopher Michel Foucault, sociologist Ernest Barker, German scientist and philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, German philosopher Christian Wolff, French economist and doctor François Quesnay, Professor Edward W. Said etc.

Researchers have been more or less critical of Western racism. Opposing Western imperialism, John A. Hobson, Thorstein Veblen, Joseph Schumpeter explained the reasons for the rise of US imperialism.

But we have to remember that this is the same missionary district that the Europeans set out on a ship once in the sixteenth century in the name of lighting the world. The result of their looting in their colonial period, the harvest of bloodshed are - these welfare societies today, the great advancement in epistemology. So we have no choice but to take it from the West today, but whatever they come to give us, be it money or any ideology - we must consider it with a watchful eye.
