Yes to Getting Things Done, For the American People

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

No to Grandstanding and Showboating

When it comes to those Representing us in Government, which should come first:

  • Loyalty to a Political Party?
  • My way/our way or the highway...antics?
  • Face time?
  • Finger to the wind philosophy?
  • Loyalty, but only to those that helped 'get you there', not so much to those that 'put you there', by way of their vote?

Of course not, it must always be about the people...

We come first.

Those in office, those who have been there since the beginning of time.. or so it seems, no longer realize that.

Maybe they never did!

I was one of the reluctant hold-outs, butting heads, engaging in some always passionate, sometimes fiery discussions, realizing early on that it wasn't going to happen, we were not going to get a Reagan Conservative into the office of the Presidency, not this time, not this go-round!

Bucking, all while understanding Trump, all while understanding why his message resonated with the People and why The People were drawn to him.

Trump was telling it like it was, no holds barred, in D.C.'s face, with a "Let's get it done" philosophy!

He never stopped with the rallies, igniting and exciting the crowds with reminders of the multiple accomplishments and of the accomplishments yet to come.

Chants of drain the swamp, build the wall, fix the stacked-against-us system...

Make America great again and don’t stop there...make America even greater, after that!

Do we still set goals for ourselves, in our lives, why not for this amazing Country?

So what am I missing?

I found myself defending Trump, when old News was brought up; when unproven accusations and when lies about him were proven to be lies but they would still come up time and time again.

I defended him for a slogan about improving ourselves, making ourselves better, because we the people are, in fact, what makes America, America.

We are the representatives, in every sense of the word, as we work toward making it, in order to leave it, even better, for our children -

We needed to get behind him and support him, not because he was a Republican or a Democrat. Not because of name recognition, but because he, with us, worked toward the same thing.

Unlike career politicians, he took the time to care.

We the People, chose him to look out for our best interests and to get things done...and that's what he did.

Blame Trump, Blame Republicans, Just make sure there's a Photo Op

So much credibility has been lost...first with the all out effort to take out the businessman, Donald Trump.

That failed and then it became an all out effort to take out the President of the United States, Donald Trump!

Credibility was questioned, then completely lost.

It will take some time for us to get to the point of trusting again, whether it be the Media, the F.B.I., long term Senators whom we thought we could trust.....

Again, I get the direction the last Election took, we were in a sad, sad state!

After all, the President prior to Trump, was an America-pummeling activist and we still ended up with him twice, so he could double pummel...I suppose!

Obama excelled at bad-mouthing our Country and at pointing fingers at groups of us here in America!

We desperately needed change to come and Trump was saying all the right things.

I so appreciated him coming into Washington D.C., like a man on fire, not just saying all the right things, but getting things done!

Most did!

  • it’s a very small percentage that chooses to create and keep is a very small percentage that chooses to resist.

As Trump worked to get things done for us, fingers were pointed, blame was cast upon all the wrong people, in all of the wrong places, for all of the wrong reasons.

For example:

  • Not at the disaster, Obamacare, nor the Dems that fell in line with their Party, regardless of how they or their Constituents truly felt about it, they showed us/they show us today, where their loyalty lies and it is with the Democratic Party first, foremost and always.....

No, instead, all blame was placed on those who stood in opposition to Obamacare back then and stand in opposition to it now, when 'revised' versions of the same old disaster are offered up or presented. While many changes have been made to Obamacare, it is still the disaster that it has always been, everyone knows it. But it doesn't get dealt with, there's no interest in that....much more effective, to just blame Trump/Republicans/Conservatives for being insensitive, uncaring meanies and to get as much face time as possible, while doing it.

Eyes are on U.S.

Fingers were also pointed....

  • Not at so-called 'Parents', those who are ready and willing to ignore and break our laws, (which makes them criminals!) so eager to send children off to America alone and unsupervised, exposing them to God knows what on their journey here. Using kids (whether it be their own or someone else’s) to make a way for them to gain entry or using kids as shields or in any other absolutely horrific and should seen for what it is.
  • Not on the Laws which exist on our books, (complicated, broken, in need of repair....yes, but Laws nevertheless, which must be enforced) Laws have not been consistently enforced, because they have been utilized... to the full advantage of Democrats (and yes even some RINOs) up until now, up until Trump!

No, instead...they were always pointed at President Trump and the Trump Administration as they attempted to fix the endlessly ongoing problem.

Even though Barack Obama (D) made an ongoing problem even worse than it was, immigration issues aren’t something new, something that just kind of came along with Trump, but with the Dems, there is a strategy don't you know that by now?

They are always strategizing?

Suddenly and miraculously….Dems care?

Blame Trump/Republicans/Conservatives for being insensitive, uncaring meanies, all while getting as much face time as possible!

Manufacture some artificial outrage (or at the very least, a few crocodile tears for the cameras) Play it up big, make it showy, because this is Democrats excel.

No one wants to see kids used, not by those that bring them here or send them here, hanging them out to dry and especially not by grandstanding politicians.

Today, these caravans of people coming to America, are once again using children and putting them in harm's way.

It order to keep an oath made to protect the American people, our border security is put in a damned if they do/damned if they don't position when defending this Nation. A warped media (in many cases) and out-of-touch-with-reality Hollywood celebrities vilifying their every move, for simply doing their job.

It is ugly what was happening at the southern border and what will soon be happening again. Shame on those who fund and promote large masses to come to America and overwhelm our border and our border security.

Blame goes on all of those allowing their children to be used, as they make a spectacle, in order to make us all look heartless and uncaring.

Blame goes on those that put their Party before America's security, not because they care so much more for the women and children, but rather because they care so much more about getting the votes they desire, more than anything else.

Shame on you grandstanding, showboating, same old faces, career politicians.

Sadly, somehow, you all have all the power once more!

You did it, you got rid of the people's President and got one of yours back in.

I guess all that grandstanding and showboating and downright lying paid doubt, in more ways than one!

God please watch over the United States if America and see us through!

Sooo...the House killed, yet another, Conservative immigration bill. The oh-so-caring and oh-so-loving Dems (with some help from the Rinos) really got behind it by offering up ZERO votes.

The votes are not there, for what many are referring to as a Compromise bill!

I'm with Trump, if the Dems aren't willing to even come to the table on this issue.....let us wait for the big red wave and then, my vote is we bring back the Conservative Immigration Bill for another vote.

Enough of the games!

No he’ll get a pass....this is a career builder for him!

What happened to Henry’s kids, he seemed to be so normal? But then, there wasn’t 24-7 News and Twitter back in his day. So......

Leland Johnson from Midland MI on June 20, 2018:

I just saw it too. I wonder if the media will be as tough on him as they've been with Roseanne. What a perverted thing to say.

OMG I just read Fonda's tweet....sicko!

Angie B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on June 20, 2018:

I know....I really need to open up more about how I really feel, stop beating around the bush and all. :)

I share in the angst and disgust Pop.

The problem is the same as it always was. Congress is not interested in solving the immigration issue. They need disgruntled angry people in order to cast blame and shame on anyone who wants to fix things. If President Trump manages to fix things, what will be left for the nasty liars to talk about. Today I saw that Peter Fonda tweeted a hideous message that called for the kidnaping of Baron Trump. The first lady notified the Secret Service. I don't know the outcome, but I hope Fonda gets into big trouble. He can sit in a a cell with the disgusting intern you screamed an obscenity at the president. If Congress is called upon to work at making things better, we can forget it. As long as losers like Schumer and Pelosi are there, it means gridlock. Congress is part of the swamp, and we need to clean them out along with those in the FBI, DOJ, IRS, EPA, Veterans administration and so on. I could go on and on, but I'll spare you my angst and disgust.

Haha, I'm good. You know, I wish you'd stop being so moderate ;)

Angie B Williams (author) from Central Florida, USA on June 20, 2018:

This grandstanding crap that has been going on non-stop, getting people all worked up, inciting violence must stop...the saddest part is that the grandstanders love it, want it, whatever it takes to make Trump look bad, them look good, keep them in office, win them seats.....

You are right, some 'sheep' have to be told when to be outraged, when not to be outraged, what to think, when to think it....

It is a pathetic display!

Hi Leland, how are you? :) Thanks for commenting!

Leland Johnson from Midland MI on June 20, 2018:

Another humdinger AB. I just heard that between 2012 and 2016 there were 72,000 deportations of illegals. No one was complaining when people were being deported under president Obama. It's as if people don't know what to be outraged about until the press tells them how to think.
