Scare Tactics; Guilt and Fear, Keep it Spooky - It’s How the Left Operates, It’s What the Left Does

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

first-it-was-the-subject-of-toxic-masculinity-rubbing-me-the-wrong-way-nowadays-its-this-caving-to-the-left-madness

Where Does Your Mind Go, as You Observe this Little Illustration?

Am I supposed to see this and shut down completely, freak out, go into hiding?

Is it intended to keep me scared and feeling vulnerable...indefinitely?

Is it designed to make me feel guilty for continuing to live my life, for failing to live in fear?

Well, it didn't!

It hasn’t.

It has has only managed to anger me further!

Whatever the intentions of the artist, (he or she is getting full credit, I just can't read the name) it only succeeded in rubbing me the wrong way and I have a few questions for the illustrator, if he or she is paying attention or gets wind of this.

{Since we are dealing with a graveyard scene, I will ask my questions, in the past tense}

Here goes:

Did the 'still alive' person have a gun to the head of the 'now dead' root touch-up person?

Did the alive person have some power to force the root touch-up person to open up for business, before they were ready to?

Since we have been placed in a position to make certain assumptions:

Are we to assume that the root touch-up person, after being forced with a gun, firing squad, guillotine, knife, (for special effect and because we're discussing a certain industry) a straight edge razor or something equally spooky, by the 'alive' person, did, in fact, touch-up 'alive' person's roots?

Are we to further assume that once forced...the root touch-up person didn't practice safe protocol and to spite (get even with if you will) the 'alive' person, got sick and died?

Spooky

Insensitive?

I don't mean to come off as insensitive, but this type of hype and propaganda is what is most harmful.

It is scaring people, unnecessarily....and it needs to stop!

No one is forced to open against their will, no one is forced to patronize any business they do not feel comfortable patronizing.

IF a person is told to come back to work at a job before they, personally, are ready, then they probably should find another job, when they are ready.

This illustration (and others) are so annoying and over the top and they rub me the wrong way!

There are many negative depictions of the Gadsden (Don't Tread on Me) flag.

Many were circulating, in opposition to the Tea Party, when I was active in it.

It has been depicted as a noose around the neck of the holder and the Gadsden flag symbol, a snake, has recently been shown tied up in knots and hacking (as if infected by COVID-19)

There are many depictions of people in hospital beds, still wearing their 'Freedom' shirts or their Live Free or Die shirts, as if their fight to live as free men and women, somehow stops/ends, because yet another means, which can set us back, even kill us, is now added to the very long list.

Tea Party groups were treated very unfairly a few years ago, when our Rights were being tread upon by President Obama.

We were made the brunt of jokes, as if it was about something else entirely!

I know...I was there, I witnessed it.

These same people who "petitioned Congress for a redress of grievances" during the overreaching Obama days, have now been joined by many others. Those who now understand that this is so much bigger than the mandates which were placed on us then and the weaponizing of a virus now!

As a result, these people are going to be targeted, as members of the Tea Party were, for that reason alone!

While many give up and give into Government overreach, these patriots refuse and so, they are made out to be the only ones dying or infecting others or causing all the problems, etc...

It gets so old, but until the likes of Barack Obama, Gretchen Whitmer, Nancy Pelosi, Lori Lightfoot.... are able to completely wear down those who resist, it will continue!

Conquered From Within

We have men and women running for office for different reasons, for different purposes; most understand their purpose; to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

A Constitution which limits them and their power over the people!

We also have a group of people, the Mayors of Chicago (D) and New York (D), the Governors of Illinois (D) and Oregon (D), for a few examples; overstepping their authority, feeling empowered, in office for all of the wrong reasons and trampling the rights of the citizens in the process.

  • The type of person that our Founders sought to protect us...from!

We can no longer afford to elect people, such as these individuals, they do not have our best interest at heart...far from it!

If we continue to let them in, via our vote, they'll destroy us.

It won't be this virus or the next virus or a foreign enemy, it will be from the likes of them...from within!

Maybe they think, they’ve already conquered us.

~~~
Rather than just a defiant Salon owner here, a freedom-loving Gym owner there....what if massive numbers of people defy this abuse of power! What if massive numbers of businesses simultaneously open back up in places such as New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, etc.?
I think they would have the backing of law enforcement, I know they would have the support and respect of the Nation.
It's the only way...and then, we vote these detrimental to America, spooky people out!
The 'high on power' do-nothing Democrats aren't going to back down, the people must take a stand.
Which leads me to a poll -
Happy Halloween!
Stay safe!!
Election Day is right around the corner and will be whistling past the graveyard when I go to vote to keep America.....America!
I have faith in the American people to do the RIGHT thing.
God Bless America!
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on October 20, 2020:
I haven't seen that before T, but I concur. "DEM surrounded by panic" Amen. Truth!
But, the panic has spread like a wildfire, even with people that I know, that should know better.
I'm often reminded to just have faith, to let go and let God, but meantime, those same people with the reminders and the antedotes have everything but faith....or so it seems.
T on October 20, 2020:
Well this is not hard to understand
Pandemic is simply “DEM” surrounded
by panic !
Don’t even need to read between the lines, just read between the letters!
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on October 20, 2020:
The following is my 'Status Update' today on my Facebook page and yes I felt as if it needed to be shared here as well:
I see you, I hear you with the "wear the mask and shut up" messages flooding social media.
Now it's my turn!
Several times now, long lines of cars and trucks wait as a little elementary school girl runs from her parents car to the waiting school bus, only to turn around and run back to her car {in a panic} in order to retrieve her mask....in order to gain access to the waiting school bus!
I've seen my own grandchildren panic when they can't find their mask quickly enough.
This is SO WRONG!
Where's the evidence that this virus is doing harm or anything else to children?
Where's the evidence that this virus is doing harm to healthy people no matter their age?
Show me.
Share it here and I am not talking about what Big Tech wants me or you to see....haven't you figured them out yet?
Yes, I get it, I've repeated it....BY ALL MEANS...let's protect the elderly, let's protect the immune-deficient!
But.....we can cannot continue like this.
This will never end at this rate. Many of our fellow citizens are living in fear and I've no doubt that many so-called leaders in this Country are perfectly okay with that. They feel it gives them the upper hand in winning back their seats or gaining a seat.
Keep the people frightened, therefore, easily controlled.
There is no good reason why people sitting in a church building, for example, not anywhere close to anyone outside of their family, should feel as if they can't take off their mask for a time in order to sing or praise God with a loud, unmuffled voice!
I won't even go there....about those driving their cars, windows up tight, all alone, their faces covered by 'THE MASK', afraid of what will seep in through the vents?!?
Even if at some point, you or I contract the virus, our chances of getting back on our feet in no time at all are at nearly 100%. Just like any other virus. We know there are meds that are working...that are effective.
Living in fear is not an option, it's time to stand up and speak out against how this damned virus is currently being used as a weapon against us. The Chinese army might as well be holding guns over us as they do the Uyghurs!
Now it's your turn, I am not looking for a like or a love or an angry face; you can either ignore or share.....but chances are very good that no one will even see this.
Que Sera Sera
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 24, 2020:
We are really seeing the DEFIANCE of the left in these BLUE STATES.
Not the defiance of the people; the people, business owners have gone above and beyond in meeting certain criteria and expectations!
We are witnessing the defiance, anything but constitutional, tryrannical behavior of Democratic so-called leaders, in these BLUE STATES!
I hope whether people have gone about their daily lives or are currently continuing to hunker down (whether it's out of personal health reasons, the health of a loved one) or they have been programmed to live in fear....they are paying attention!!!
Many of our fellow Americans are being harassed, treated as criminals for daring to continue to live and make a living as FREE PEOPLE! From pastors, to salon owners to gym owners, to restaurant owners...no matter what they do, goals they meet, the rules keep changing. The goal posts are moved further away. The fines increase, the time frame to reopen is pushed further into the future.
We are seeing that they can't win, not where Dems are in charge. Dems do not care!
Dems are on power highs, with some type of King/Queen complex and it is time to vote them out!!
We don't do Kings and Queens here in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
We do not do tyranny here in this Country, we are protected by THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.
Straighten me out...tell me I'm wrong!?!
Shannon Henry from Texas on May 22, 2020:
I don't think you are coming across as insensitive. I understand where you're coming from with this. In fact, at this point, our views really aren't that different. You're just focused on one facet of the issue and I guess my mixed feelings come from looking at the bigger picture. It can be my downfall sometimes, not focusing on specific parts of an issue.
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 22, 2020:
Hi James,
Good to 'hear' from you. Of course we know how the left operates; they want things one way...their way! It still amazes me (not sure why) what they are able to get by with and get away with.
Some blue States are currently "bossing" Churches and everybody else that doesn't worship them!
While there has been some push back, there hasn't been enough. Not yet!
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 22, 2020:
I feel for the people with compromised immune systems, I feel for the elderly; they need to stay isolated as long as necessary, hopefully not for the remainder of their lives!
I'm more focused on those that aren't equally compromised but are being treated as if they are and I've had it with those (the left) that use people, situations, etc. to their full advantage, over and over again and get away with it. They ARE getting away with it.
I know that I often come off as insensitive and I know that I've lost followers and former fans, as I result (of my politics) but I am not an insensitive person, I'm just me...unable to let things lie, (as I've mentioned multiple times before) :)
Thanks for commenting Shannon, I always appreciate your insight.
James A Watkins from Chicago on May 22, 2020:
I certainly agree with your fine article. The State absolutely has no right to tell people not to go to church. If the Left believes in the so-called 'separation of church and state' as they say they do they should agree that that goes both ways: The Church cannot boss the State around and the State cannot boss the Church around.
Shannon Henry from Texas on May 22, 2020:
I guess you could call it mixed feelings. We definitely can't stay shut down indefinitely. I don't think this virus is ever going away. It's a covid virus and they are always around. No one likes them, but most people don't live in fear of getting the flu even though it is certainly no fun and kills some people. I suppose that mainly what I feel is that there comes a point, especially when there are available vaccinations (whenever that comes), that people are just as responsible for their own choices in going out, knowing that they could be exposed. And then I wonder how long even those people will wait now. For those who are used to not being around large crowds, it may not be a big deal. But what I'm trying to say is that there are some terminally ill people or people with compromised immune systems who would rather take their chances and fully live life than be isolated more than they want to be and miserable.
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 22, 2020:
So, I will put you down for, 'I have mixed feelings'. ;)
My vote is heck yeah, our rights have been trampled on and heck yeah it is time to practice civil disobedience. (I just can't see a Whitmer or a Cuomo backing down at this point, because they've made this about more than a virus. They are invested in butting heads with President Trump...no matter who it hurts. They are playing games with people's lives and livelihoods. The people WILL have their say with their vote, come November, but in the meantime, they need to work, they have mouths to feed and not everyone is capable of keeping their hand out indefinitely.....so that the Gov may take of them!
Shannon Henry from Texas on May 21, 2020:
LOL....Can I vote "other response" for the second poll too? I think that it depends on the situation of the individual states and cities. It does seem that the death toll is nowhere near what they led us all to believe it would be and that it never would have been that high. However, the goal was never actually to prevent the spread of the virus so much as to stop it from spreading so fast that the hospitals couldn't handle all of the severe cases. So, I think it depends on the needs of the individual communities.
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 21, 2020:
I took your suggestion Shan. I've worked my afterthoughts into another poll....until my next afterthought...lol!!
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 21, 2020:
Well, lucky for ya’ll, Texas is pretty much wide open, as is Florida, so we don’t really require such action, but blue states on the other hand, are really hurting, with no end in sight, stuck under the thumbs of incompetent leaders.
I would love to hear from some of those folks.
I am so proud of our Governor:
https://youtu.be/EqBZEiJCzi0
Shannon Henry from Texas on May 21, 2020:
By the way, I can't really put an answer that fits into your poll choices. I don't feel that my rights have been trampled upon.....BUT....my lifestyle hasn't changed all that much because I never was one to go to crowded places often or to eat out all that often. I've gone to the store pretty much as often as before because I had no choice right from the start since we couldn't afford to help clear the shelves of necessities when the madness started even if we'd wanted to. Plus, common sense.
The second reason is that I think the degree of lockdown rules and regulations varies from state to state and place to place. My town always seems to be more cautious than some other bigger cites. Out of an abundance of caution, they call it. However, we are well within easy distance of traveling by car to other cities, where we have to shop for certain things they don't carry here anyway. At times, it's been a major inconvenience. However, we have yet to be made to feel like rights are being trampled up. We're even able to stay in contact with the county laws to find out information for our rights as agents of the property owners we manage and what we are allowed to do in this particular county when tenants are taking advantage of the situation. We've worked with someone who legitimately lost his job to Covid and he's since gotten a new one, but some are intentionally not paying just because they think they can get away with it. I'm sure that they feel we've trampled upon their rights by enforcing the lease contract. Case hearings are being scheduled next month. If they show up at eviction court, they will soon find out that the owner has a right to his rent.
Shannon Henry from Texas on May 21, 2020:
You can still edit that into your article.
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 21, 2020:
I should have worked this into my article:
Rather than just a defiant Salon owner here, a freedom-loving Gym owner there....massive numbers of businesses simultaneously open back up in places such as New York, New Jersey, Michigan, etc.
I think they will have the backing of law enforcement.
It's the only way!
The 'high on power' Dem so-called leaders aren't going to back down...the people can't either!!!
{perfect set up for another poll}
1. I agree 100%, AB
2. I disagree in civil disobedience, AB
Please comment with your vote.
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 20, 2020:
Hi Shannon,
Thanks for your persistence in seeing it through! :)
I obviously agree....it spawned an entire article!
Shannon Henry from Texas on May 20, 2020:
OMG, Angie! I just erased my entire comment with one button on my keypad! Ugh....it's only the third time today I've tried to comment. The first time I tried I ended up getting distracted by work-related activities and the second time I had to stop because we had a mega china cabinet disaster. Lot's of glass and breakables everywhere. So here's to hoping it sticks this time! Or I'll call it a conspiracy and be done. LOL
I was saying that I see you are as offended by this cartoon as I was when I first saw it. To me, it implies that the business owners are in the wrong for needing to make a living. They can't wait forever on more stimulus payments that don't pay months worth of bills. It implies that they are heartless and aren't taking precautions for the health and safety of others. It also implies that those who choose to partake of these types of services are selfish and uncaring. "How very conceited of them, don't ya think? Their vanity was much more important than your life." It's not the cartoon's target audience that is callous- the cartoon itself is callous.
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 20, 2020:
Hi Sharlee, good to hear from you.
I have been doing the same!
I was recently talking to my Dad, he is in a different State. I was telling him how crazy busy I have been at work! He had no sympathy for me whatsoever; he knows that I bring it upon myself, running the roads, taking off for the beach every chance I get, always out and about doing something...
It was funny...he knows me so well!
Take care!
Sharlee on May 20, 2020:
From day one I have made every effort to continue to do what I did before the stay home orders. I have not stayed home. Although so many businesses are closed, I have found can still do a bit of shopping, being outside for sun, and exercise. I have continued to go grocery shopping as frequently as I did before the lockdown. I have enjoyed seeing my small family regularly. I do not wear a mask, and when asked to wear one, I refuse and inform the person my breathing becomes impaired when I wear a mask. I do make every attempt to distance myself fro others. I feel this is the best way to avoid catching the virus. I wash my hands when I return home.
I find it best to ignore all the lefts idiocies. If they want a new norm that's right. But, it's my right to continue my norm and continue to ignore as you might guess their idiocies.
They rant about not wanting to go out until there is a vaccine for COVID. Want to bet, when there is one they will stand on their soapboxes, and declare vaccines are so "very bad for the human body" or something of that nature.
So far so good, my rights have not been so badly stamped on, and I am at this point healthy. Physically and mentally... LOL
A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on May 19, 2020:
I don't think it's time to take up arms...we start with the next election, by firing overbearing, overreaching, liberty destroying progressives and cowardly Republicans (in name only) who refuse to stand up to the overbearing leftist bullies. We elect Constitutional Conservatives into office and we'll begin to see things change...I've no doubt! Until that time comes and if you must, seek out a pitchfork (although leftists won't get it)
Kyler J Falk from Corona, CA on May 19, 2020:
I know my rights are being trampled upon because I can go out, practice safe behavior, be sitting all by my lonesome, and still someone is going to hate me and others will even wish death upon me for exercising my rights. We've seen it happening, people being thrown in jail for not shuttering their business as their families struggle to keep a roof over their head and food in their mouth, yet all they did was try to survive and follow safe practices.
It isn't just us in America, it isn't just an American "rah rah freedom" thing. This is a worldwide problem. Yes, I also agree that in America it is the left that is propagating the hatred for those who are not falling directly in line. Most specifically it is the leftist media, but the right media firing back with immaturity doesn't help either.
I'm going to continue my civil disobedience with all my neighbors as we gather in groups by the dozens, and we are going to continue being safe as we do so and should anyone try to stop me and my peers from being free then I will pick up my rifle and fight for the foundation of America.
I'm angry, I'm very angry and we have lost friends over this mess because of the stupid idea we have to stay home to be safe. Freedom is safety, and safety can also be free in unprecedented times such as these. The most outspoken representatives of the left would do well to remember that, and the cowards on the right need to bolster their fundamentals.
They've successfully divided us, it's time WE see that the ones in power are not part of US.
