I was raised to always look at two sides to every story and make my own decision. Many weren't and it shows more every day.
What is "fake news"?
According to Trump, anything that contradicts him, shows him in a bad light or doesn't do as he's told; it's "Fake News". By drilling it into the heads of his followers like a cult leader, he will always have their support. As he said during his campaign, he could shot someone in the middle of main street and they'd still follow him.
As President, he continues to have rallies, because he needs to make sure they stay his followers. He uses demeaning words and phrases against the media because it's divisive and it instills in his followers that the media cannot be trusted.
He uses them so much, that they believe it whole-heartedly that it's true.
Knowledge is power
The phrase knowledge is power goes back centuries, no one is sure where it was first said, but many powerful individuals understand it too well. Which explains why Donald Trump vilifies the media.
To discredit the media and you see he doesn't try to discredit them all. Fox News has been at the core of his campaign, he gets advise from Sean Hannity who has been photographed prepping Trump and supporting Trump at rallies.
Vilifying the media has been a long used technique by dictators working to control their people. It was called Propaganda; information that is intended to persuade an audience to accept a particular idea and cause stirring emotions. Photo propaganda was very popular as well.
Under Hitler, he used propaganda much in the way Trump does today. The rallies to gather his people and convince them that what he is saying is the only truth. Even after he was appointed President, Trump continues to hold rallies.
In the mid 1930's Hitler began to cultivate the Aryan National Community. And by the 1940's the German people we're completely under the mind control of Hitler and his ideas to include the destruction of the Jews, through continued attacks by Hitler against the Jews. Media outlets and constant distribution of flyers demeaning the Jewish community.
Stalin, in the Soviet Union also used censorship to control his people, along with photo doctoring, he rewrote history and was able to "purge" his enemies and the people of the Soviet Union supported it. Some 750,000 were purged.
In the past we had Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini who used propaganda to gain and keep control of their country. Today, we have countries controlled by their leaders as well; North Korea, Russia, and China. All countries that Trump praises and sides with over the American people and his followers show no issue with it. They repeat his rhetoric in support.
The greatest thing America has is the 1st Amendment of 1771 to the United States Constitution that states, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peacefully to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. The Bill of Rights provides for it's protection.
Our forefathers found that freedom of the press played a very vital role in keeping the citizens informed of public affairs and it was also a way for the citizens to monitor the actions of our government.
As long as American's continue to watch over the government and hold them accountable, Trump's tirades about Fake News and attacks on the media will not take complete hold.
One thing is for sure, he has followers that will suffer and do without and never take their support from him, he knows that and uses it. And yet, there are those that were looking for something different when they voted for him and are now reaping from those actions; the loss of finances, jobs and more and are looking in another direction.
Only time will tell, but American's need to remember to stay diligent, knowledge is not just power, it's important. For those who don't have the wealth, the knowledge is what will keep America and it's constitution in check.

NOYFOB, When someone says Trump is a nut job and don't know why? Really, He's lied over 11,000 times, he tweets bullying remarks like a 12 year old.
Talking heads at FOX NEWS repeat every lie that Trump puts out as fact, knowing that its a lie. Trump is his own worst enemy, because when he had a win on the economy numbers, instead of having a good day he went on twitter attack rant and took the attention off that win. Bias Media, like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are so straight shooting? I guess that's why Trump tweets them when he wants them to go on a rant about something?
Brad on June 14, 2019:
Fake News is News that
isn't factual, isn't verified and contains opinions and conclusions? That is the simple and correct definition.
Real news is reporting events, using facts, and verifying the facts.
I hear so many people quote the same things said by the talking heads at CNN, and MSNBC. Fox News is split, so that leaves us with the Internet, and it is filled with so much bias, it is difficult to find the facts. It is the people that are creating the fake news that are telling us that it is real and not fake. When a someone says, Trump is a nut job and you ask them why, they don't really have any facts. This is because anything they hear on TV must be true. But even on TV the talking heads don't use facts, they just make emotional, irrational, and rude rants. The bias from them is overflowing. They will oppose anything that president Trump says, or does, and even thinks. This covers everything leaving president Trump with a zero or less as rated by them. Can one person truly not have a singe win?
In the case of president Trump the biased media never reporting just the news, it is giving their audience their opinion of the event, and simply put that is not news. Therefore, if it is not news then it must be something else. So rather than classify it as FAKE news, it should just be found not to be the News at all?

I can understand people not liking Trump's tweets, his abrasive personality, his hyperbolic aggrandizing, his lack of couth.
If someone finds him to be deplorable I can see it.
That doesn't make the accusations of any of the unsupported, non-factual claims by CNN any more real.
For example back in Jan of 2017, CNN reports the existence of 'classified documents' that supposedly said Russia had compromising personal and financial information about then President-elect Donald Trump. CNN did not publish the dossier, or any specific details of the dossier. Later that day, BuzzFeed published the entire 35-page dossier with a disclaimer that it was unverified and "includes some clear errors". It had been circulating for days but no legitimate news source would touch it... CNN did.
There are people who make videos of the regular fabrications coming from CNN, the evidence is overwhelming, here is one such example:
Lady Liberty (author) from These United States, Texas on June 13, 2019:
With all the media out there, Trump supporters like Trump always go after CNN. When the media shows video footage of Trump saying something and back it up with documentation, that isn't biased, it's reporting facts.
Ken Burgess from Florida on June 13, 2019:
I agree, knowledge is power. Knowing that what CNN and their ilk spout is opinion and fabrication, with very little fact mixed in and plenty of bias, is knowledge I am thankful to have.
I and many others, understood this long before Trump ever came along.
