Examples of the Unorganized 'Reserve Militia' at Work.

As a student of the Constitution, I studied it for most of my life. For me, the most inspiring quote from that document is "WE THE PEOPLE".

Organized Reserve Militia

The Need for a State Regulated Unorganized 'Reserve Militia' has Been Highlighted by Recent Events.

From Uvalde, TX, where ARMED parents of students inside the school were restrained, by local, and state, law enforcement officials for over an hour, while law enforcement agents inside the school ran for cover when the suspect started shooting at them.

Had those armed parents, being members of the 'Reserve Militia' of Texas, been allowed to enter the school when they arrived, I do not believe the death toll would have reached 21, 19 students and 2 teachers, Had faculty inside that school been allowed to exercise their rights under the 2nd Amendment, the death count would have been definably lower.

As a Constitutional Conservative, I do support the 2nd Amendment Rights of the Individual, I also support the States right to decide who can join that States Reserve Militia. 18 year-old Salvador Ramos legally purchased his Assault-Style weapon for his 18th Birthday. Texas requires a background check on all individuals attempting to purchase a firearm. Okay, no criminal record. It does not require a psychological assessment of those who pass a criminal background check. Would a psychological assessment found that was mentally unstable and a potential threat to himself and others, making him ineligible to purchase any firearm.

Again, I do not believe we should restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding, mentally stable, individual over the age of 18 from purchasing a firearm. I also believe a complete criminal background check and a comprehensive psychological assessment before purchase would have prevented Mr. Ramos from purchasing these firearms. Never allowed to purchase, no mass-shooting.

A 'Good Samaritan' at Greenwood Park Mall Hailed as Hero.

Over the weekend in Greenwood, IN, a suburb of Indianapolis. A shopper at the Greenwood Park Mall shot and killed a mass shooter shortly after he opened fire in the Food Court. 3 killed, 2 wounded. what would the death count have been if this 'Good Samaritan' not been their and shoppers had been forced to wait for law enforcement to arrive on the scene. By the time law enforcement did arrive, the carnage was over, and the mass-shooter was dead.

As a Christian who has been a student of the Bible most of my life, I believe that the phrase 'Good Samaritan' does not apply here. According the Parable that Jesus taught. The Good Samaritan did not fight off the attackers and then take care of the victim, NO. The Good Samaritan came upon the victim along the road he was traveling, beaten and near death. The Samaritan bound his wounds and carried to a local in, he then gave the Inn Keeper money to take care off him and cover the cost of food and lodging, promising to pay the difference upon his return.

I think we should refer to this individual as a member of the State regulated, unorganized 'Reserve Militia'. This is an individual that, while exercising his 2nd Amendment Right to bear arms came to the defense of his fellow citizens neutralized the threat to their, and his, safety. I just hope the DA does not decide to prosecute him for MURDER.

Houston, TX, Robber Shot While Trying to Rob an Armed Victim

Fox 26 News Published July 17, 2022.

A would be robber was shot to death by his intended victim on July 16, 2022. The incident occurred at an ATM in west Houston at approximately 10:30 P.M. The two exchanged fire and would be robber was pronounced DOA at a local hospital. I do not know if the intended victim had legally purchased his firearm or not, it was not in the report I read. The odds are extremely that would be robber illegally obtained his firearm. You cannot pass legislation that will prevent the illegal sale of firearm sin any state.

A Return to the Wild West

An argument often used by those who want to abolish the 2nd Amendment today. Looking at the Crime Statistics for most Major cities, they are now, statistically speaking, deadlier than the Wild West

We are a civilized society, we do not need an armed populace anymore, another false argument. Look at the crime statistics in every large city, according the data, they are far from civilized.

The communities that were settled in the West during the late 1800's plagued by gangs of marauders that took everything that they could carry on their horses. They would also take all of the horses and cattle in the community. I'll leave what they did to women to your imagination, Why? There was no law, except the law of the gun. The one with the guns decided what the law was. It was settled when individuals decided to exercise their God given, Constitutionally guaranteed, right to self defense. Sooner or later, a lover of peace, understanding that peace was not the absence of violence, but rather the absence of fear.

In Conclusion

Until the leaders of these cities, and states, that are overrun by ruthless gangs, drug dealers and the cartels that control them, allow law abiding citizens to exercise their Constitutionally guaranteed right to self-defense and carry arms, the problems plaguing or cities are going to get worse. In many places, this lawlessness has already spread to the more affluent Suburbs. What is the Governments response? More restrictions on the rights of individuals to protect themselves. Convicted criminals do not legally purchase their firearms. How do I know this? Most of the gangs and drug cartels use fully automatic weapons, which requires a specially issued Federal Permit to buy.
