The reign of terror is almost over

In less that a month, Americans will choose a new president and polls indicate that a majority want Donald Trump out. This suggests that his 4-year reign of terror is likely almost over but people continue to suffer for his bad decisions. There are 9 confirmed coronavirus cases that have been traced to Trump's recent gathering in Minnesota and one of those individuals is in intensive care. Two of those who were at the rally were actually at a protest that was organized nearby. While US citizens are sick, quarantined, hospitalized, and dying, the Donald is bragging that he is immune to COVID-19. Trump's base will argue that he has nothing to do with this, but that's not true. If he had never held the gathering, then no one would have been in attendance, and neither would anyone have been protesting. To be fair, there were only a few individuals wearing masks, and no social distancing.

Safeguards in place

The CDC has given Americans safeguards that are easy to follow which are wearing a mask and keeping your distance. Donald Trump has done nothing to enforce these measures and continues to defy them. The first thing he did after returning to the White House from Walter Reed Medical Center was to definitely jerk off his mask and stand boldly before his supporters. He later said that the had been cured and is possibly immune to COIVD but none of this has been substantiated. There actually is no cure for the coronavirus and some who caught it have become reinfected. The president's false allegations will mislead those who hang onto his every word and might cause more sickness and death. If you are reading this please wear a mask and social distance and do not trust misleading information coming from the White House. Keep in mind that COVID can be spread to the innocent and you could indirectly be the cause of death. Donald Trump brazenly stating that he has beaten the coronavirus is a slap in the face to the 210,000 Americans who died from it.

Trump cannot remain in office

Trump knows he is in trouble

Everything the president does is directly related to his trying to win a second term in office. The fact that Donald Trump keeps saying if he loses it will be because of voter fraud indicates that he believes he will not be elected to a second term. He is planting seeds of doubt so that his base will react and possibly retaliate in the event that Joe Biden wins. No US president in the last 177 years has been so dastardly in attempting to disrupt our system of voting and Donald Trump seems to have no shame. He has also been pandering to gain voters and it is embarrassing. The Donald refused to give much-needed help to Haiti when they needed it and now just before the election has decided to send millions in assistance. His decision to nominate a female to replace Ruth Bader Ginsberg seems suspect as he made a point of emphasizing that he would choose a woman. The fact that he is so blatant should be the biggest turn -off but his base continues to support and defend him. Something that he is not considering is that many Republicans who seem to be supporting him might just vote for Biden. Increasingly the unhinged behavior of number 45 is causing COP members to come out publically and say they will support Biden. All that has issued since Trump was taken to Walter Reed has many of his supporters rethinking their decision on who to vote for. The president obviously believes it if looks as though he has beaten COIVD he will win reelection but most Americans can see right through this ploy.

How many more will be infected

The number of individuals within the White House and Pentagon who have coronavirus continues to grow, yet Donald Trump does not seem to care. Although it cannot be proven where he caught the virus, Senator Herman Cain was infected with COVID and died after attending a Trump rally. Now 9 people have the coronavirus and one of them is in intensive care because they showed up in Minnesota. How many more will become infected, or even die because the president continues to lie? Trump has tried to pretend that he is invisible but shortly after returning to the White House he could be seen having trouble breathing as he spoke. He was also coughing during an interview. If Trump decides to play Russian Roulette with his own life that is business, but he should not risk the lives of American citizens in an attempt to remain in office.

I find it disheartening that any U.S. President would challenge the idea of a peaceful transition of power irrespective of party. It has never happened before and hopefully will never happen again.

Hopefully whoever wins will win in a landslide, and there will be no need to dispute the election. In my opinion, the election will most likely go smoothly. Now, the following years, I think will be a repeat of Trump's first term. And that disturbs me.
