Dear Conservatives, Here Are 16 Reasons Why I'm a Liberal

  • Author:
  • Updated date:

Despite what you’ve been told, liberals don’t want to control your life, take your guns or redistribute your wealth to people who refuse to work. We don’t hate capitalism or want the government to run people’s lives. We want the same things you want but we see different ways to reach the same goals.

1. Liberals want more freedom for everyone.

We want people to have control over their own health care. Women should have complete control over their own reproductive health.Your employer should not get to choose what medical procedures you can have.

We want people to be able to marry whoever they want and to serve their country in the military regardless of their sexual orientation. We want the government to stay out of people's private lives.

We want to ensure every legal citizen has the right and the opportunity to vote which is why we oppose conservatives' many attempts to make it more difficult to vote.

Liberals believe people should have more rights than corporations.

2. Liberals want to save us all money

Liberals know there are times when it is far more cost efficient and practical for us all to work together for our common good than it is to leave everyone to fend for themselves.

For example, most communities realized long ago that it is more cost-efficient to have a fire department maintained by tax dollars than to expect people to put out their own fires or hire private firefighting companies. It benefits you to have a fire department even if you never have a fire in your home.

Health care works the same way. Experience has shown that single payer healthcare systems cost far less and get better results than strictly private, for-profit systems. Medicare is a good example of this. Medicare has only 2 - 3% overhead costs. Compare this to most private insurance companies which have 15 to 20% overhead.

This is not government run health care. It is simply a way to ensure everyone gets access to the healthcare they need.

3. Liberals know how to get people off of Welfare.

Most people who are on government assistance are not lazy freeloaders who refuse to work. They are people who work low-paying jobs for companies like Walmart. These companies pay such miserable wages that they teach their employees how to apply for federal aid.

Liberals believe your tax dollars should not be subsidizing multi-billion dollar corporations like Walmart who refuse to pay their employees a decent wage. We want those companies to be profitable but to pay their employees enough so that they don’t have to get Welfare or food stamps.

4. Liberals want you to be paid better for your hard work.

For decades the cost of living has been rising but employee wages have not been keeping up. People used to be able to support a family with non-skilled labor jobs but that is no longer true. The wages for those jobs have not kept up with the cost of living. This is why liberals want to raise the minimum wage to put more money in the hands of hard working low-income people.

This will not only get people off of government assistance, but it has been proven to be the very best way to stimulate the economy since low income people will most likely turn around and spend that money on goods and services, thus increasing demand and creating more jobs.

Scroll to Continue

5. Liberals are more successful at stimulating the economy

It’s not a coincidence that, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 41 million jobs were created during the 20 years of the last 3 Democratic presidents (Carter, Clinton and Obama) and only half that many (21 million) jobs during the 20 years of the last 3 Republican presidencies (Reagan, Bush and Bush).

The most successful way to stimulate the economy is to get more money into the hands of low and middle-income people. Those are the people who are most likely to spend that money, creating more demand for consumer goods and services. That increased demand results in more production of goods, more jobs and more profits for corporations.

The conservative strategy of creating jobs by giving more money to the very rich and hoping it will trickle down to everyone else has been a proven failure.

6. Liberals want to stop the redistribution of wealth

Up until the 1980s, whenever the economy expanded or contracted, it affected everyone, the poor, the middle class and the rich alike. But since the 1980s, the very wealthy have been inoculated from the effects of an economic downturn. When the economy does well, almost all the new wealth that gets created goes to the very wealthy while the poor and middle class see almost no improvements in their standard of living.

Working class Americans are more productive now than they were in the 1970s but are not benefiting from their hard work. Their wages often don't even keep up with the cost of living. Meanwhile, taxes for the very rich have dropped much faster than for anyone else and all the country’s wealth is being redistributed to the wealthiest 1%. Everything is rigged to benefit the very wealthy at the expense of the middle class.

Liberals simply want to stop this redistribution of wealth to the top 1%. We want everyone to benefit when the economy is doing well and not just the very rich. We want corporations to be profitable, but we also believe American workers deserve their fair share of the new wealth that is created.

7. Liberals love capitalism but realize it’s not perfect for every situation.

Capitalism is a great way to distribute most consumer goods and services like TVs, automobiles, laptop computers, etc., but it is a terrible way to distribute health care, for example. When healthcare is treated like any consumer good then people only tend to get the medical care they need when they can afford it. As a result, people will continue to die simply because they do not have the money to pay for necessary medical care.

This is why health care needs to be treated like a basic right of everyone instead of just another consumer commodity to be bought or sold.

8. Liberals want a strong military for the purpose of defending us, not to generate corporate profits.

The United States spends more on Defense than any other 10 countries combined. In fact, the Pentagon has actually complained that Congress insists on appropriating money for weapons systems that the Defense department doesn’t even want.

This is because big corporate defense contractors give huge campaign contributions to politicians who, in turn, award those companies with multi-billion dollar defense contracts for systems that the Pentagon says we don’t need.

Liberals believe we can eliminate much of this unnecessary spending and continue to have the best equipped and best trained military on Earth.

9. Liberals believe the government has a role in protecting us from corporate abuse.

Liberals believe clean air, clean drinking water, workplace health and safety standards and consumer protection standards are all more important than maximizing corporate profits.

Conservatives routinely try to roll back EPA regulations, workplace health and safety standards and consumer protection standards because they say these things inhibit the profits of big businesses.

Liberals believe that the lives saved by these regulations are far more important than the small costs to corporations of complying with these rules.

10. Liberals want to put an end to corporate welfare.

In 2009, the most profitable company in the world, Exxon/Mobil, made $35 billion in profits. But thanks to special subsidies and loopholes for corporations, they managed to pay zero dollars in US income taxes.

In recent years other hugely profitable companies like General Electric and Bank of America also had profits in the billions and paid no income taxes.

Liberals believe that these extremely profitable companies should at least pay some kind of minimum tax on their income. We want corporations to be profitable, but they should not be given special treatment or wield special power over Congress just because of the massive amounts of money they have.

11. Liberals want America to once again be a champion of human rights.

The US has always had a reputation for opposing torture and treating prisoners of war humanely. Toward the end of World War II, enemy soldiers fought to the death against the Russians but were more willing to surrender to American soldiers because they knew America does not torture or mistreat POWs. This fact probably saved many American lives.

Professional interrogators know that torture is the most ineffective and unreliable means of getting information from POWs.

Conservatives have destroyed America’s once stellar reputation on human rights by authorizing torture of suspects. This has undoubtedly put American soldiers at greater risk. By legitimizing torture, conservatives have increased the likelihood that American POWs will also be tortured.

Liberals want us to use the best and most reliable methods of getting important information from terrorist suspects, which does not include torture. We also want to protect our military by eliminating the use of torture as a means of getting information.

12. Liberals want to defend our country, not go looking for new wars to fight.

While there are genuine threats to our country and our allies that we need to address, we don’t believe in politicizing those threats or using them as an excuse to start an unnecessary war with other countries.

It's easy for Chicken hawks who've never served a day in the military to talk tough about "carpet bombing" terrorist groups or crushing our enemies when you're sending someone else's kid off to fight.

The United States should work with our allies in addressing any threats from radical militant groups of any kind, but America should not be the world’s policeman. It is not our role to get involved in every war or overthrow every dictator we don’t like.

War should always be a last resort.

1st Amendment to the US Constitution

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

13. Liberals believe in religious freedom for everyone.

Our Founding Fathers made it explicitly clear that our government should and will always be independent of any particular religious belief. Everyone has the right to enjoy their own religious beliefs or none at all.

Our government is not based on any one religion. Your freedom to practice your religion, does not give you the right to discriminate against others or to force anyone to follow your religious beliefs.

14. Liberals want our tax dollars invested in our country’s future in ways that benefit us all in the long term.

There are ways that we can invest our tax dollars so that it benefits all Americans.

For example, many Americans would like to go to college but cannot afford to do so. Many who do go to college are left with massive student loan debts that take decades to pay off. This system prevents millions from getting a college education and those who do cannot get out from under the suffocating burden of college debt.

Liberals believe the government could subsidize college education for all Americans so more people can go to college and nobody will be left with massive student loan debt. This will result in millions of Americans being more productive and more prosperous while reducing the number of people on Welfare or food stamps. This increased prosperity will stimulate the economy and generate billions in tax revenue that, in the long run, would more than pay for the cost of subsidizing college education.

This is the difference between spending and investing. This type of investment by government ultimately improves that standard of living while saving the taxpayers’ money and getting people off of government assistance.

15. Liberals want to put an end to class warfare.

Due to the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, it is more true now than ever that money equals power. Big businesses can spend unlimited amounts of money on political campaigns and benefit those politicians who work on their behalf. Billionaires are spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a single election cycle to elect candidates of their liking. This causes members of Congress to pander to the rich and powerful who can help them get re-elected.

The more money you have, the more influence you have in Congress and the less you pay in taxes.

As a result, politicians protect corporate subsidies for companies like Exxon/Mobil who make $40 billion in profits per year while proposing cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

Liberals want Congress to be accountable to the American people and not pander to the most wealthy and powerful among us. We want to restore the limits on political spending. Corporations are not people and should not be given the rights of human beings. We want Congress to do what is in the best interests of the American people and not sell their services to the highest bidder.

16. Liberals have been proven right and conservatives have been proven wrong again and again.

Let’s look at some conservative beliefs that liberals disagree with.

  • Tax cuts for the rich are the best way to stimulate the economy
  • Tax increases always hurt the economy
  • Iraq was actively producing weapons of mass destruction in 2002
  • There was no chance that the Iraq War would erupt into a lengthy civil war
  • Deregulating the finance industry would create more economic prosperity
  • Obamacare would kill jobs
  • Failure to approve the Keystone Pipeline will destroy jobs and raise gas prices sky high
  • Raising the minimum wage will kill jobs and hurt the economy

History has shown that liberals were right and conservatives were horribly wrong about all these things and much, much more. You can read about this in greater detail at this link: 21 Truths That Prove Republicans Have Been Wrong About Everything

Here's the bottom line.

I am a liberal because I believe in economies of scale. Sometimes when we work together and pool our resources for our common good, it is far more cost-efficient and mutually beneficial than leaving everyone to fend for themselves.

The private sector has its place but there are some things that only government can do. Only government has the resources to put a man on the moon, fight a war, respond to massive natural disasters, save millions of lives during the Great Depression or manage programs like Social Security and Medicare.

The policies that conservatives enact tend to use our resources to protect the very rich at the expense of everyone else. They give special tax cuts, subsidies and bail-outs to big corporations and cut any programs that benefit the middle class.

I am a liberal because I want a government that responds to the needs of the people, regardless of their wealth, power or influence.

Thank you for sharing the truth.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on December 14, 2018:

The mueller investigation into Trump is the biggest abuse of power by the Deep State. There is no Russian collusion and he is barking up the wrong tree. The American people better realize that if he is allowed to continue this witch hunt, no one is safe. The FISA court has been abused and missused to spy on American citizens. The Obama administration has a lot to answer for - for politicizing so many braches of our government and the various agencies.

Sanxuary on June 30, 2018:

I think its no longer about party. I think you support Democracy or you support tyranny at this point.. When all options run out we are going to find out who the real Patriots our. They better leave Muller alone and let him finish his job and not screw with our elections. I believe serious consequences are coming if they cross those lines. I think a lot of people would rather die then live in Natzi Germany or in Russia. I was wondering if I presented three heil Trumps at the next Republican convention if they would think I was giving them support or mocking them. I doubt if they would know the difference at this point.

Harvey From Chicago from Chicago on March 12, 2018:

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on September 08, 2017:

Paula, you hit the nail on the head. The two party leaders are counting on the stupidity of the American voter...

Paula fpherj48 on September 07, 2017:

Sanxuary.....IMHO, there is ONE and only one sentence on this entire page( includes Hub & all comments) that is 100% accurate, makes the most sense and w/o argument. The very last sentence in you comment (3 down). "Just think there is a 3rd party out there that did not (does not) like either one of them." (Maybe not an actual separate party, but certainly an enormous number of Americans.)

There certainly was (is) that group~ and it's far more than anyone may wish to believe or admit. We were forced to choose between 2 individuals, one more inept than the other, both prone to creating falsehoods, 2 ego-maniacs, 2 greed mongers, power-hungry liars, thieving manipulators....Or we could throw our vote away entirely or not vote at all.

In fact, with the exception of possibly one or 2 dozen politicians in any position throughout our nation, this is my

own sincere, personal opinion of all of them, especially those maniacs who have been in position, decades, until they must be rolled off the podium in their wheel chairs as they're drooling.

Jeff has the right to state his 16 reasons why he's a Liberal. Every one of us has the right to our opinions.

What is very wrong is the behavior of radicals who simply refuse to recognize or admit the serious flaws on both sides. It's not only wrong, it's stupidity to the point of pure ignorance.

Sanxuary on January 22, 2017:

We have more in common then you think. I keep hearing this non-sense that we should just take this crap because Trump won. They claim we lost when I am still waiting for a real party and a real candidate I even care about. Even still its a lot less about the people in office and all about the issues. Even if you voted for someone you can still disagree with anything they desire to implement. Most people think its all over after the election but anyone can fight for or against any measure or policy they disagree with. Thats why protesters have so many different issues, they are seldom there with one issue at a protest. People who condemn protesters , I always ask which one are you condemning? Some of them are probably on your side.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on January 22, 2017:

Sanxuary, i agree with you that the GOP is not conservative. I wrote about this in other hub. In fact, some GOP leadership attacked some conservative candidate like Ted Cruz. I personally did jot vote for either Hillary or Trump. There are at least 4 parties, represented by Democrat, GOP, Progressive socialist like Sanders, and Conservative like Cruz.

Sanxuary on January 22, 2017:

I do not see any Liberals going out of their way to make up the crap I have heard in this election or for the past 8 years. I do not put you in the catagory you assumed to think I put you in. I hardly even think your party is even conservative. What the hell does that term mean to any Republican? Its just a word they say, still whats left of the so called Conservatives might be around. There is one thing I know is that you can no longer blame Hillary, Obama or some Democrat from the past for whatever they do next. Its interesting that the Super Delagates kept Bernie Sanders from being nominated and having no Super Delagates got Trump nominated. Just think there is a third party out their that did not like either one of them.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on January 21, 2017:

Misfit chick, I totally agree. That is my contention that the power that be, deliberately pit groups against each other so they are distracted. They are in control and pulling the string behind the scene. They are the one that distort and exaggerated the positions of conservatives. They are the ones that donate to both parties candidates. No mather who is elected, they have their agenda and influence in the halls of power. I count George Soros in that camp...

Catherine Mostly from Seattle, WA - USA - The WORLD on January 21, 2017:

Well, that has been one of the frustrating things about conservatives: everything that is said about them gets twisted around and 'reprojected' onto liberals & independents. Actually, the GOP has been guilty of flipping things like that for years; and that came to a head during this election. They have heavily used propaganda to divide this country in unrealistic ways. For instance, very few of us are actually 'racist' on either side (anymore, GOP used to host White Supremists - and apparently still do now that Trump is in office) - and that is only one similarity.

Liberals & Conservatives all come from the same place and we have the same desires to have a reasonably nice life. This election has been a really good example of how people's minds can be manipulated - and now that we can see that easier, pay more attention to the intentional dividing. They keep us as divided as possible because we are more profitable & easier to control as a country. All anyone needs to do is push the right hot buttons depending on which side they want to rile up.

Stop blaming your neighbors - cuz that's ALL liberals & conservatives are to each other when it comes down to it. We're the same inside and no different. Stop believing that we are.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on January 21, 2017:

Sanxuary, your argument is almost the same I have against liberal. As a conservative, we have been branded as racist and ignorant and backward... I prefer we discuss actual policy differences rather than labels and stereotype.

Sanxuary on January 21, 2017:

I am no Liberal but very angry about being branded as one if I disagree with the right wings agenda. I am so tired of stupid and people who have no common sense to even think about what they say. No facts, no knowledge and so often motivated to a decision based on racismn. So much false news and rediculous claims. I have been watching the nominations and if I was a Politician regardless of party I would not be able to pass most of them. The reason why I would be unable to approve most of them would be my own position. There would be no reason for me to be in office if I did not uphold all the rules and insure that the people of America had those in power that lead the office they control for its intended purpose. That those with no ethics, morals or who would abuse the power of their office should be allowed to do so. To approve those who would , would mean I serve no purpose in my own position. People should be very concerned by what they see. If such people do get approval then those who thought this was a victory I can only hope do the most suffering. I hoped after 8 years in bankruptcy and a war in the gulf lead by Republicans that you would not forget. Obama inherited that mess and everyone suffered long enough to get angry and to make irrational decisions. The Republicans have been in control of the senate and congress long enough that any change durring Obamas terms that they could have made life easier if such a thing even exist.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on July 20, 2016:

Here is a story on how the ACA was passed with deception -

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on July 19, 2016:

Where has conservatives been wrong? They have been attacked from both sides of the aisle. Our country is heading in the wrong direction under both Bush and Obama... Whose fault is it? I say we get the government we deserve. If people wants to vote for more spending and more debt and open borders and increase government's no wonder we are where we are and going downhill.

Kathleen Cochran from Atlanta, Georgia on July 19, 2016:

Sorry my prediction came true. I truly believe the problem with conservatives is that they have been wrong about so much for so long they no longer really care if anything positive gets done any more. Their major fear is that someone else might actually be right about something.

It's hard not to be offended by their name-calling and ALL CAPS and exclamation points, but I keep thinking eventually enough people will succeed because of liberal policies that everyone will be glad somebody found the right answers to our problems. If there was any evidence from their track record that conservatives could be the ones to do that, I'd be happy to see them succeed. But there's not.

jeff61b (author) on May 23, 2016:

jackclee -

The ACA was passed by a simple majority in the Senate which is how the Constitution says it should be. Republicans tried to apply tricky rule changes to force a 60 vote requirement.

The Supreme Court has been a very "activist" court in a very right wing sense. They tend to rewrite laws exclusively to benefit the Republican Party. Citizens United, which gave corporations the same rights as humans to participate in the political process, is just one example.

The ACA is not perfect but it is an improvement. It reigns in many of the abuses of insurance companies and gives about 20 million more Americans access to health care.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on May 22, 2016:

Jeff61b, your assessment oF ACA is quite different than what actually happened. ACA was passed by both House of Congress with not a single Republican vote. It was only passed by the Senate by a rule change to simple majority orchestrated by Harry Reid. It was challenged in the Court and the Supreme Court ruled in favor only by redefining the term "fine" as a tax. The court is there to decide not to legislate. The second challenge regarding the state subsidies is even more glaring. The court ruled based on the "intent" of the law instead of the actual wording of the law. Those are the glaring examples that I refer to.

The bottom line is ACA was a terrible bill forced upon us by one Party with the help of an activist court. It is not how a major legislation affecting one fifth of the nations GDP and all the people should be enacted.

ahorseback on May 22, 2016:

"Dear Conservatives ", okay you asked for it . There has never in history been more of a base of hypocrisy than in modern day American liberalisms , I say "American liberalism" because of the naiveté ' of the American left even against all other forms of it , You want bigger government period ! That is the first answer in all issues liberal - almost every point you make begins with the most strikingly honest and educationally integrated subliminal message that ever comes out of a liberals mouth , " We want " ! That alone should be the mantra in modern day liberal campaigning .

The one most important single thing a liberal never has been able to grasp is that all economic prosperity comes from a healthy ,un-infringed free market economy . Not one hindered by a massive social welfare attachment to it's underbelly . What a liberal ALWAYS wants is what every body else has already earned and the liberal hasn't ! All one has to do to see this ; is look at every 'problem' city , county or state in the US . My message to AMERICAN liberals is to "get to work ' and earn your own .

jeff61b (author) on May 21, 2016:

jackclee lm -

You said liberals want to use the courts to get what they want. Lately it is conservatives who have done this. Take the Citizens United ruling that essentially says corporations should have the same rights as human beings to participate in the political process. That is certainly not in the Constitution.

You cite Obamacare as a prime example. But Obamacare was passed by both houses of Congress, signed by the president and repeatedly upheld by the Supreme Court just as the Constitution requires.

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on May 20, 2016:

Or better yet, here is my hub on Conservative principles -

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on May 20, 2016:

nursepamm, I am glad you asked. Conservatives believe some of the very ideas cited here. The main difference is the implementation of these ideas. Did you see any reference to the Constitution in the hub? No. Conservatives believes that our Constitution is the basis and guide for how our government is suppose to run.

In my experience, some liberals wants to by pass the Constitution and use the Courts to get the things they want and bypass the American people. That is not democracy. Their thinking is, we know what is best, and we are smarter and more compassionate...

The ACA Obamacare is a prime example in recent years. I can cite many others.

nursepamm on May 20, 2016:

Jackclee: I don't understand your comment when you posted, "they are not liberal causes or beliefs or practices or policies"

What do you think liberal causes or beliefs or practices or policies are all about?

Jack Lee from Yorktown NY on May 20, 2016:

I agree with most of what you said...However, they are not liberal causes or beliefs or practices or policies...

You seem to have a different definition of liberalism. What dictionary are you using?

I would need to write a book to counter all your points. Perhaps I will do just that.

Ruby Jean Richert from Southern Illinois on May 20, 2016:

I feel like I wrote this piece. ( I wish I had. ) Everything you stated is true. I think it's about time for the conservatives to admit it. The people are standing up and demanding to be heard. I've heard that worn-out statement that liberals are lazy, freeloaders, when in fact we only want equality for everyone, all races, all religions. We want the government out of our personal business. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinions..

jeff61b (author) on April 02, 2016:

Liberals want to invest in education and job training so we can get people off of government assistance. It is the liberals who work to give people more opportunities to lift themselves out of poverty and become self sufficient.

I've never met any liberal who wants to take your money and give it to poor people so they don't have to work.

jefboyardee on April 02, 2016:

How to Explain Conservatism to Your Squishy Liberal Friends

Conservatism is sometimes confused with Social Darwinism or other such me-first dogmas. Sometimes the confusion is deliberate. When those who are against conservative policies don't have sufficient opposition arguments, they call love of freedom "selfish. " Of course it is - in the sense that breathing is selfish. But because you want to breathe doesn't mean you want to suck the breath out of every person you encounter.

roob on April 02, 2016:

How is giving a large majority of people who are scammers welfare, food stamps, housing, disability, cell phones, schooling, etc using tax dollars for our future? I mean why would I work hard to bridge the gap from poor to middle class? If being poor and having liberals means I get all those benefits without work. Now if I work really hard then I lose those benefits and have to work hard only to have my tax money go to those who do not have the same job as me. Only the really rich and poor win in that situation

Catherine Mostly from Seattle, WA - USA - The WORLD on April 02, 2016:

I'm not sure roob actually read the hub or the links that support it - but thanks so much for organizing all this info and presenting it in a way that makes sense. I mean, liberals don't even SORT of sound scary, now; and we might actually have a real, thinking brain. I doubt a conservative could write something similar about 'why they believe what they believe' without it coming across as scary - maybe that is a challenge. ;)

Suhail Zubaid aka Clark Kent from Mississauga, ON on April 02, 2016:

Imho and from my experience, Liberals also want to protect our planet and our natural heritage for ourselves and for our children. Liberals are more inclined to keep earth green with nature (flora and fauna) flourishing for the benefit of our recreation and enjoyment

Liberals have more scientists who align with our philosophy and leverage on scientific work for the betterment of our planet and our people.

Liberals are inclusive and believe in embracing diversity.

I liked this hub. I will be sharing it on Facebook.

roob on April 02, 2016:

Liberals actually hurt the middle class the most. If you become rich you are taxed back into the middle class unless your are mega rich like 1%. Now the poor get money from the middle class. The middle class basically supports the poor & themselves. Because the middle class cannot make it up to the rich class yet they don't get benefits from the tax dollars like the poor do.

jefboyardee on April 02, 2016:

If you're not liberal when you're young, you have no heart.

If you're not conservative when you're old, you have no brain.

...I hope you're young right now.

Howard Schneider from Parsippany, New Jersey on April 01, 2016:

You summarized perfectly what Liberals want for this country and why their policies are best in making America better for all. Excellent Hub, Jeff.

Lela from Somewhere near the heart of Texas on April 01, 2016:

Yep, the right wing insists that they know what is best for our country! But they are wrong. And they will never ever admit it.
