1. President Biden has tested positive for COVID
PRESIDENT BIDEN HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID
In a routine test, President Biden has tested positive for Covid-19. He started taking the anti-viral medicine Paxlovid this morning.
President Biden has plans to isolate for five days and to continue to work in isolation until he has a negative antigen test.
President Biden's symptoms are mild.
Dr. Ashish Jah gave a White House press conference regarding the President's condition.
He is breathing well, his oxygen levels are normal and he does not have a fever.
There are no expectations that he will develop more symptoms.
2. Lake Meade

Lake Meade is at its lowest level since its creation in the 1930s. Lake Meade is at only 23% due to drought conditions.
3. January 6th Committee

At 8pm Eastern time tonight, there will be a January 6th Committee prime time hearing and press briefing.
4. Deadly Heat Wave

In the United States, over 100 million people are currently under sweltering heat advisory.
In much of the country, temperatures will be mid to upper 90s through the weekend.
5. Terrifying train fire in Medford, Massachusetts
TERRIFYING TRAIN FIRE IN MEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS
- The was a commuter train fire in Medford, Massachusetts, outside of Boston.
- Some people jumped out of train windows to save themselves.
- One woman went as far as to jump off of the bridge and into the water below the train to swim to safety. She refused medical treatment.
6. Another shark attack in the Northeast
ANOTHER SHARK ATTACK IN THE NORTHEAST
There has been another shark attack in the Northeast. A sixteen year old surfer was bitten on his foot by a shark, off of Fire Island.
7. Thomas Lane
THOMAS LANE
Thomas Lane has been sentenced to 2 and a half years in prison for the role that he played in the murder of George Floyd.
Thomas Lane's brother has stated that the prison sentence is an insult and that his brother was the least culpable among all of the former police officers involved.
8. Dick Vitale

Sports announcer Dick Vitale was featured in the #AmericaStrong segment of the World News Tonight With David Muir broadcast for his bravely battling cancer and for his encouraging speech at the ESPY awards show last night. David Muir called Dick Vitale "an incredible man".
