1. U.S. offer to Russia
U.S. OFFER TO RUSSIA
It is possible that the United States and Russia will coordinate a prisoner swap.
Americans, Britney Griner and Paul Whelan are being held in Russia - Britney Griner for the past five months and Paul Whelan for the past three years.
Britney Griner is a WNBA basketball player that illegally took cannabis oil to Russia when she was visiting. She says that she did not realize that she was breaking the law and that she had been legally prescribed cannabis oil for pain in Arizona, U.S.
Paul Whelan is a former U.S. Marine that was charged on espionage and is 3 years into a 16 year prison sentence in Russia.
He admits no wrongdoing.
The U.S. government is asking the Russian government to send these two American prisoners in Russia home to America. In exchange, the U.S. government would said Victor Bout back to Russia.
Victor Bout is a Russian arms dealer that is serving a 25 year prison sentence in the United States for selling weapons to terrorists.
2. Rising prices

Rising prices are causing many families to be spending $493 more per month on average.
Many more people are visiting food banks. A food bank in San Jose, California says they are serving 450,000 people per month.
3. Gunmakers are being grilled

CEOs of gunmaker companies are being pressed in hearings over their role in gun violence.
4. Flooding

The flooding in St. Louis, Missouri is moving eastward to Kentucky and West Virginia.
5. President Biden

President Biden has now tested negative for COVID after having tested positive recently. He has ended his five days of isolation.
6. Earthquake in the Philippines

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake has killed at least five people in the Philippines.
7. Road Rage

There is video evidence that in Texas, in a road rage incident, an angered woman fired a gun into a car containing a child. The woman has been arrested.
8. Mega Millions jackpot

Mega Millions jackpot is now over 1 billion dollars.
9. Tony Dow
TONY DOW
In tonight's broadcast of World News Tonight With David Muir, it was reported that Tony Dow, an actor, who played the big brother Wally in the television show, Leave it to Beaver has died. Tony Dow died of cancer.
Jerry Mathers, who played his younger brother on the show is among the many people that posted tributes (on social media) about Tony Dow.
Tony Dow was born in 1945.
He starred in other shows also, such as Lassie in 1968.
