Mistakes made, Truss apologizing under pressure

Only after few weeks of assuming responsibility of Prime ministership of Great Britain, Truss seems it be in great trouble. Although silent in Parliament, Truss opened her mouth to the media. She has made it clear that she will not go anywhere leaving the responsibility that she has received to handle the position of Prime Minister of Britain. Her proposed abbreviated budget was completely scrapped yesterday by the newly appointed British Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt. In this situation, the pressure is increasing on the British Prime Minister Elizabeth Truss to leave the post. Even the opposition, some MPs from her own party, the Conservative Party, have begun to question Lee's credibility as prime minister. However, under pressure, Truss apologized to the common citizens of the country in an interview given to a leading British media. She and her recently ex-Finance Minister, Kwasi Kwarteng, said there were big mistakes in the economic measures she had promised. Truss has been British Prime Minister for only a few weeks.

Truss, who was elected as the leader of the Conservatives against the financial policies of Former British finance minister Rishi Sunak, was practically trashed yesterday by the current finance minister, Hunt. From promises of tax breaks to VAT exemptions for foreign tourists - Hunt is reluctant to deliver on any of Truss' promises. Hunt has agreed to give concessions for the next six months instead of two years as promised by the Truss only in the case of electricity bills. So that the anger of the common people of the country is increasing. The silence of Truss in the Parliament on the whole matter has angered the opposition. Today in the House of Commons, Hunt spoke about his budget proposal. Truss was seen doing nothing but sitting on the sidelines with a serious face. In the meantime, the question has begun to arise, but is Truss not worthy of being the British Prime Minister? Labor leader Keir Starmer said, "Where is the Prime Minister? She is hiding. Scared of her own shadow. In the words of one Tory MP, Roger Gale, "I think Hunt is actually handling the prime ministership now." Although silent in Parliament, Truss opened her mouth to the media. She has made it clear that she will not go anywhere leaving the responsibility that she has received to handle the position of Prime Minister of Britain. "I realized we made a mistake," Truss said. I apologize for that. But I have corrected the mistakes.'' At the same time, supporting Hunt, Truss was heard saying, "I have appointed a new finance minister. Efforts are underway to restore financial stability in the country. I want to serve the countrymen with my best".

Meanwhile, London police closed a road near 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister today. A suspicious package was found near Whitehall between the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square at around 12:30 a.m. There are many government offices in that area. Some high-rising buildings were also vacated. Police said they are investigating what was in the packet.

Now it is to see where all these leads to. Will she remain in this coveted position or situation will unfold other possibilities?
