A True Leader in Troubling Times, Donald J. Trump

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

President Trump and C.E.O. of My Pillow, Mike Lindell

President Trump and C.E.O. of My Pillow, Mike Lindell

I had placed myself on hiatus; I was in self-imposed time out, a break...not from politics, but rather from sharing my two-cents worth of political opinion.

It didn't last long!

While watching, yet another press conference, given by President Trump, as he had faithfully done throughout his last year {with the COVID-19 nightmare} my hiatus would come to an abrupt end!

For the the most part, this particular conference was loaded up with positives; consisting of updates on production of masks and other vital products, which were so needed.

It consisted of updates on existing medicines, which are already out there and effective in helping people who have contracted the virus.

News of the USNS Comfort, arriving ahead of schedule, making her way into the New York harbor was a most comforting sight for many and that was discussed.

It was hope-filled!

Many large companies were in attendance; including Honeywell, Proctor & Gamble, United Technologies...all pitching in, doing their part and then some, going above and beyond.

Many of them went to the podium to talk about things their companies have been doing throughout.

The CEO of My Pillow, Mike Lindell took it even further; he spoke of "hope and of God's grace", it was very stirring and very moving:

Can't We Put our Differences Aside, for a Time?

Then the time came for Q&A and the President called upon CNN's Jim Acosta.

Wouldn't you think that even the most blatant haters of President Donald Trump would have taken a break in the midst of such troubling times?

Acosta was as unpleasant as he always is.

He was as arrogant and disgusting as he can't help but be!

Why the need to dismiss and breakaway from the hopeful, positive message and instead...kick a little bit more at the knee of a Nation, while they are down?

Scroll to Continue

Why was our President undermined at all times, by so many?

Shame on Acosta, but one of the things I most admired about President Trump, he did not let this type of behavior go unchecked or unchallenged.

He did not let it lie!

One of the very things I most admired about him, he was criticized and condemned for...often, make that all of the time!

  • He would not take the so-called high road
  • He would not let it roll off of his back
  • He would not overlook it and he would certainly not...just let it lie!

I get it, I am cut from the same cloth, as I move forward with this article, a type of article that I had no intentions of writing today, tomorrow, next week, next month or ever.

Personally, I think too many of the most level-headed individuals around; including lawmakers...have allowed things to go unchecked and unchallenged, left to lie, for far too long, allowing for activists such as Acosta and others in media (for example) to become more resilient, multiplying like bad bacteria.

Shame on so-called journalists, like Jim Acosta, with the grandstanding, the agendas, the blatant disrespect shown toward President Trump.

Shame on those holding such disregard for their fellow man and woman, in a time when differences should be set aside, and for what?

It's just politics? When and why did the media become political? That's not their job!

Shame on Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and others, who could not resist taking this crazy and uncertain time to pull out their big, bottomless bag of political tactics and tricks to take full advantage.

They just had to work to get their pet projects and the pet projects of those shadowy figures they are indebted to, in their typical underhanded fashion, into a bill specifically designed to assist us, through a difficult time.

A time as never experienced before.

It continues that Donald Trump has been defeated, it will continue because Donald Trump was taken out...of the way!

They are right where they need to be, free to do whatever they please.

Another Snarky CNN Reporter Disrespecting President Trump

We Will Get Through This

President Trump had already been dealt a lousy hand (from the get go)...and then this!

But nevertheless, he always appeared to be holding the winning hand.

At the very least, when that couldn't be sold, a strong confidence that the hand desired, was coming together quite nicely.

Maybe the missing ace wasn't there, but he wasn't about to give up on the game.

Poker analogies and scenarios aside, isn't that what a good leader does?

Why was he constantly forced to have to spell out over and over again, measures taken so that an already shaken nation and world, would not be totally freaked out, losing all hope in the the likes of people like Jim Acosta?

We must continually be in prayer for our President (whomever he or she is), for this nation, for this world, there is no room for politics, grandstanding, backstabbing or for seeing this pandemic as some type of sick opportunity to be working toward a Pulitzer prize.

Maybe he doesn't have visions of grandeur at all, maybe Jim Acosta is just plain dense.

Whatever the case, we've no use for him, he serves no purpose, other than to toot his own horn!

I will take it even further...he is non-essential!

In spite of people like him and all of those in media, academia and politics, who have lost their way, forgotten their purpose, who continually worked against President Trump, therefore were working against this Nation...we can get through this!

Leadership has changed, but I will never give up on this resilient Nation.

God Bless America!

Chris, what you do is cherry pick anything you can find to use to back up your personal presumptions and that is more than obvious. What a critical thinker does is look at the evidence, sort out what is fact and then come to intelligent conclusions if they are warranted. This is not what you do, and that is obvious from your own statements.

If you want an example of what critical thinking is like, read all the comments by James Watkins about the whole coronavirus situation on this link,

Shannon Henry from Texas on April 03, 2020:

Chris, are you an American citizen over there in Germany, just curious?

As far as the fish analogy goes, my opinion is that fish swim in shoals and in schools. They instinctively know what direction to go when they are in a school. Right now, our local leadership and higher leadership personnel are still very much acting as a shoal. Who's fault is that? We can't put the blame on any one person in a situation such as this.

It was the government's job as a whole to prepare for something like this years in advance. The hospital systems certainly could have done more to prepare in advance. Ordinary citizens could keep their asses at home instead of gathering in places that allow crowds. City, county, state, and government leaders could do a better job of creating consistent rules straight across the board right now.

The Logician from then to now on on April 03, 2020:

If the fish stinks from the head Chris you should be smelling the fish that really stinks, and it’s not Trump! Besides the trite expressions from Northern Germany, this is what Trump has to deal with. Democrat leaders, working with their communications strategists, crisis actors and Mainstream Media outlets producing the hysterical melodrama that we saw last week about a lack of ventilators forcing New York hospitals to consider enacting Do Not Resuscitate orders on COVID-19 patients. In short, Democrats want people to die and to blame it on Trump.

The new #FilmYourHospital YouTube genre of people filming their local hospitals, shows them to be empty, as opposed to the war zones widely described in the Fake News.

Dana Ashlie posted an excellent compilation of these videos, intercutting them with official reports that inadvertently revealed a possible false flag operation involving CBS News and The New York Times.

The local CBS news report showed a throng of people waiting to get tested outside Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, aka Ground Zero of the COVID-19 pandemic in the US.

Other people going over there with their cellphone cameras have recorded a deserted wasteland outside and a reception area almost devoid of people. Was CBS' crowd staged for the cameras?

On March 25th, a Dr Colleen Smith was the star a dramatic New York Times spread and video, '13 Deaths in a Day: An "Apocalyptic" Coronavirus Surge at an NYC Hospital.'

Smith’s story was published in tandem with Gov Andrew Cuomo’s televised briefing about an apocalyptic lack of ventilators, during which he criticized the woeful bungling of Donald Trump.

Amazing Polly did some digging on Dr Smith and it wasn't long before she found, among the people boosting her story were Public Relations professionals who work directly for leading Democrats, like Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Sen. Kirsten Hillebrand, Sen. Chuck Schumer and Sen. Nancy Pelosi.

Interestingly, Dr Colleen Smith's LinkedIn account and other bios all say that she specializes in “medical simulations” and apparently, her New York State Medical License expired back in 2018.

For their part, Elmhurst Hospital denied that they were ever in a shortage of ventilators.

Polly says, “Most interesting to me is the fact that Colleen Smith, who is saying that this is basically an apocalypse at Elmhurst Hospital because of a lack of ventilators, who says she, herself is a physician in the hospital - why is she standing there with her camera recording them, instead of working with them?

“Why are [the ventilators] there in the first place? Why aren't there doctors scrambling to get their hands on them?”

On March 23rd during the daily White House briefing, William Barr had said the DOJ would be going after price gougers and hoarders of supplies. On the 27th, it came out that Andrew Cuomo had been hoarding thousands of ventilators in a New Jersey warehouse and that New York was never in immediate danger of lacking them, despite the hoopla.

Some may recall that Catherine Austin Fitts has detailed the mind-numbing criminality of Andrew Cuomo, with whom she worked when he was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the late 1990s.

She said that HUD was being run as a criminal enterprise, most likely financing a Black Budget and targeting American neighborhoods with narcotics trafficking and mortgage fraud.

Starting in 1997, Fitts was overtly targeted by Andrew Cuomo with the help of the legal department that he managed as HUD Secretary. She was poisoned with arsenic.

The left must feel that they have to add literary gimmicks to their propaganda for the TDS automatons to get someone to listen to their rants. The handling of the Corona crisis is simply poor management.

3 weeks of contradicting messages and leadership leads to a magnitude difference in spreading. You will find out soon what a magnitude means. Have 10.000 or 100.000 fatalities. You will find out in your immediate neighborhood what that means.

You folks in Florida, stay at home, don´t go to church services.

Good morning Leland, we've all heard about fiscal waste over the years. Perhaps now... that will become a thing of the past?

I don't think so-called leaders, like Cuomo and Pelosi, expect us to go back in time and examine their actual words or examine their inaction! Such inaction on Cuomo's part and yet his face is on my local news more than the President!?! Yesterday, while listening to talk radio, the show was interrupted for the latest from Gov. Cuomo. (I am in Florida!) No doubt, all of this is calculated; get Cuomo's face out there (the Dem who cares the most) while MSM gloats over the exceptional job he is doing and continually accuses President Trump of faltering and failing every step of the way.

It is sickening how the left never let's up, no matter what is happening.

I hope that you and yours are doing well through all of this.

Leland Johnson from Midland MI on April 02, 2020:

AB- I’ve worked I hospitals for 30 years and seen unimaginable fiscal waste. Anybody that has worked in a hospital can confirm that statement- it is not theoretical. Hospital CEO’s getting multi million dollar annual bonuses in addition to already exorbitant salaries, purchases of high price medical devices and equipment that gets used 4 or 5 times then sits on a shelf until it is obsolete. I wonder how many respirators all those millions would’ve purchased. Hmm... and yet, somehow it’s still all Trump’s fault. NY holds thousands of respirators in a warehouse while complaining about not having enough, then when called out on it Fredo Cuomo says, “what I meant was we need the next few weeks when the virus peaks.” Uh huh, right. Cuomo leaves out the fact that in 2015 he was warned by an emergency task force official that NY only had 4,000 respirators and they needed 14,000 more to be prepared for a worst case scenario emergency. So, how many did Cuomos admin buy? Zip-nada-none, BUT, he did spend 750 million on flawed green deal initiatives that failed miserably. Yet somehow, in Cuomos fantasy world, it’s all Trump’s fault. To my fellow Americans who agree with Cuomo, I would ask them to please stop using their heads as colonoscopes, come out and see the light, and if there are some who choose to trust the Chinese government over ANYONE please- go to China. You and America would be better off if you did. Take care AB. Good job here.

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 02, 2020:

I’m just curious Chris, how the following tweets by Nancy Pelosi, regurgitated ad nauseam by the ace reporters of modern day media, factors into this theory you’ve deduced. Keep in mind, these tweets are dated late January.

Fast forward a couple of months, Ms Pelosi is currently accusing President Trump of “fiddling around” and is now asking, “what did he know, when did he know it” and...wouldn’t you know it....NOW, the ace reporters of modern day media are in lock step with her, Chuck and the same old shady group with their latest Plan (what are we at now? I’d say around Plan Q) to rid this Country of him once and for all. Sick, but true!

Nancy Pelosi @Speaker Pelosi 1/31/20

“The Trump Admin’s expansion of its un-American travel ban is a threat to our security, our values and the rule of law. Barring more than 350 million people from predominantly African countries from traveling to the US, this rule is discrimination disguised as policy.”

Nancy Pelosi @Speaker Pelosi 1/31/20

“In the coming weeks, the House will bring the NO BAN Act to the Floor to prohibit religious discrimination in our immigration system and limit the President’s ability to impose such biased and bigoted restrictions.”

Note: In her Press release statement on that same date, Jan. 31st, she added another sentence, “We will never allow hatred or bigotry to define our nation or destroy our values.”

So while our outstanding President was proactive in taking measures to protect this nation, to the very best of his ability, in the early days, when we were first learning about this virus, not knowing much more than it was traced back to Wuhan, China, this was the Dems response.

Thank God, the Dems aren’t in charge. They obviously don’t care about my health and safety, nor the health and safety of my family and friends.

While President Trump, V.P. Pence and the task force are busting their asses....these corrupt political hacks, ‘led’ by Pelosi and Schumer, don’t just hold a stimulus package hostage to their wants and desires, they are working on Plan Q, plotting...yet again.... to get rid of him. That’s who they are. If this is your idea of the people who should be in charge, then I guess I know who you are too.

CHRIS57 from Northern Germany on April 02, 2020:

AB, hope dies last.

Future will show that reality will be different.

"The beginning of the end.."

Let me ask you a question. How do you know in which phase of the pandemia the country is? I have an answer, only you can´t read it anywhere, it is coming from my little analytic toolbox: Apex is reached, when the number of daily recovered is higher than the number of daily new infected. I looked at active cases in some countries and averaged past 4 days:

Italy: ratio of daily recovered over daily new infected: 30%

USA: same ratio 2,7%

Germany: 71% (already had one day with 104%, means more recovered than newly infected).

Korea: 270%

If you consider that virus spreading started at minimum some 7-9 days before first registered death, then it must have started in the US in the second half of February.

Germany´s first death was 10th of march, so G. should be behind the US some 7 to 10 days. How come G. already sees the top of the hill while the US just started and is in steep climb? Answer: Testing, testing, testing and hunting down the personal contacts of infected to test them and put in quarantene.

The US is behind some 2 to 3 weeks. And still physical distancing established in all states. This is enough for multiplier 10 to 15 in numbers of infected and fatalities. (i hope this media is not what you call biased)

By the way, Chloroquine seems to be antiviral to some extent. So it may bring down the percentage of ICU cases a little. Hospitals in hotspots are overloaded anyways. Resources run dry. Probably won´t change much and i don´t give much for this.

Same with a rumors in Germany, that low death count is attributed to many, mostly elderly people had been vaccinated against bacterial pneumonia and influenca. (My wife and me are proof, we got those shots).

There is a magnitude (x10) in infected and casualties attributed to misinterpretation, reluctance to listen to experts, sluggish and controversal political action. This is not leadership. This poor management.

China has restarted their economic engine. All of Asia except India will follow soon. Europe (except UK) will recover earlier than the US. When this nightmare is over, the US will have to deal with this. Guess who is to blame?

A B Williams (author) from Central Florida on April 02, 2020:

Chris, this administration is handling "this mess" admirably.

We've got leadership in spades!

Too bad, so many haters have never given this man a chance, from the get go, wouldn't expect them to start now.

Did you happen to catch this good news yesterday?

"I think that this is the beginning of the end of the pandemic, I am very serious." - Dr. Stephen Smith

Check it out:

CHRIS57 from Northern Germany on April 02, 2020:

Every nation deserves the leadership it voted for. At the end of these Corona days, we will see what the result will be.

Looking at the current mess from the outside: This administration is not fit for handling the crisis. Always too late, acting only half hearted, no crisis management. A good management listens and fully supports the experts. I can´t see this.

It is obvious, that the Corona crisis stresses and overloads the health care system. In industry we call this a bottleneck. First rule is to protect the bottleneck, to reroute production around the bottleneck, to concentrate resources, to lift performance of the bottleneck.

What is this administration doing? At first they ignore the bottleneck. Then they don´t like red machines, especially if a red machine is the bottleneck. They don´t allow to offload. They ridicule the demand for spare parts (PPE, respirators). They say this lady operator of a red machine (Mich.) is not running the machine properly.

Middle management (states) knows about this. Upper management responds way too late. I am an old industrial consultant. If i found a situation like this in a business, i would get upper management fired.

But ... Every nation deserves the leadership it voted for.

Yes, the President, Vice-President and the task force have done an exceptional job. They have gone above and beyond and must be totally exhausted at this point.

Sharlee on April 01, 2020:

I enjoyed your article, made my day to read your common-sense view of how the President is handling this unexpected crisis. In my opinion, President Trump is doing a superb job problem-solving. He has put together a task force that is working 24/7 solving all aspects of this virus. And best of all he is completely involved and keeping us all informed daily on what is being done. He is truly doing everything he can to make us as safe as possible.

And for Jim Acosta, in my opinion, he made a fool of himself. Love how President Trump put him in his place. Jim really did end up with egg on his face...

Shannon Henry from Texas on March 31, 2020:

I agree with you that this should not be a political matter. If there was ever a time for the government to be bipartisan, this is it. Now more than ever. Honestly (and this may be a pessimistic point of view), but I fear that while there is always hope, these people who keep going out just for the sake of going out wand without any regards to the new social distancing rules while this virus is so strong are only going to prolong the situation. If that keeps happening, there isn't much the government can do about it but try their best to adapt to the rising urgency. They warned against this scenario so far in advance, but the only thing people listened to was to go panic shop two weeks worth of groceries that wouldn't be needed in that amount until and unless they were actually in quarantine and not just under the "stay at home is safe" rules. My SIL reported seeing a group of people playing soccer at a park in a TX today.
