Make a Nifty Project For Less!

Crafting and present giving does not have to be laborious or cost the earth. You can find many treasures at your local Dollar Store waiting to be upcycled and blinged up. From gift hampers to craft supplies, and even DIY organization you just need a bit of inspiration and a few dollars to get going. Most of the jobs can be done with very basic DIY skills, whilst some many need the help of a local handyman.

1. Switch Plates

These are easy to make dollar-store switch plates. Use tissue paper and modge podge the tissue paper onto the plates protecting your electrical outlets and light switches. You can find many interesting scrapbook papers to recreate this idea; just find one that suits your décor and taste.
