What is a Squid game?

Squid games are popular internet games played online and are based on two teams playing against each other. Squid games can be won through skill or chance, allowing them to appeal to all audiences.

The objective of squid games is to move squids into slots that are called bases. If a player fills their squid full of ink, they move up to a higher slot. The more ink you have stored when you move up, the more points you will get at the end of the round.

Once all players have moved up as high as they can, another round begins, and when it ends, players receive prizes for where they placed during that round.

What are the six games in squid game?

There are six games currently available in Squid Games: Rock Paper Scissors, Pick One, Hi-Lo (aka Zero), Quick Add (aka Tap It), Tug of War, and Squish. Each game allows players to play for fun or for real money.

There are also two bonus rounds: the Mystery Mushroom Bonus and the Lucky Treasure Chest Bonus. Players will receive a chest during their initial gameplay and can receive a chest every 5 minutes or so until they open it.

Once opened, players will earn 1 to 7 coins along with one of seven prizes ranging from 0 to 2 squids or even additional bonuses such as 5 gems or 7 tickets.

Squid Game Netflix

Netflix has a secret, hidden prize game. The company doles out cash awards as part of its Smurf berries program. But Netflix won’t tell you about it unless you sign an NDA! Here’s what we know so far:

The maximum amount of money Netflix will give out is $1 million, and they never tell employees who gets a prize or how much. There are rumors that one person got over $250,000, but no one knows for sure.

You have to be one of Netflix’s employees to be eligible to win these prizes, and certain criteria must be met to collect your share.

Netflix recently announced it will be working on a few new original series, along with plans to revive shows like Arrested Development. Along with its film development and production unit called Netflix Original Films, they plan to invest $400 million in bringing their video streaming service to 40 different countries.

The company’s last quarter showed a net gain of 2.25 million customers, which was much higher than predicted. Their revenue for Q1 of 2014 is expected to total around $1.29 billion.

This number sets another record high for all Netflix quarterly earnings-an incredible feat considering they were only able to earn $59 million only four years ago.

Prize Money by Rank

Squid levels are ranked from one to 10, with 10 being the highest. At level one, you’ll be paid $1 for every 1,000 points that you earn.

As you move up to level 2, your income doubles because you’ll be earning $2 for every 1,000 points. Level 3 is an increase of 4x, and each level has a similar increase—up until you reach level 10.

To get that far will take some serious skill or a huge amount of time spent playing! At level 10, you can earn as much as $100 per 1,000 points earned. Not bad at all!

Prize Money by Region

The prize money for Squid is divided up into two geographic regions: the Americas and Europe, including Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania.

The Americas contain 11 countries (Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, and the USA) while Europe has 14 countries (Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland).

Below is a table of how much each country receives for placing first, second, and third. In addition to a placement amount on top of their base squid salary, each team also gets a $2 million dollar bonus if they take 1st place.

Prize Money by Team Size

The size of your team will determine how much money you get for placing third to fifth. At first, it’s tough to beat those top two teams, but as more people play and more data gets released, everyone moves closer together in skill.

When playing a five-man team (for example), you’ll earn about $12 per person per game you win. For 10 players, that’s about $1 per person; for 50 players, that's $0.20 per person!

Squid game age rating

The only restriction for anyone to play Squid Party is that you have to be at least 13 years old.

This isn’t for any moral reason or anything like that – it’s simply a regulatory thing. Squid Party has been classified by PEGI as being suitable for audiences aged 13 and over, which is a classification given to all video games with an extreme violence warning, as well as those featuring highly sexualized / sexual violence/ realistic blood and gore warnings.

So if you want to play our game when it comes out, make sure you’re age-appropriate!

Conclusion

Squid Game has risen up the ranks to be among Netflix's most popular series of all time, if not the most popular, so a second season seems possible, even if the writer/director admits he doesn't have any ideas yet.

However, unless the number of entrants is increased, we'll presume the reward pool will remain the same. However, things may become a little overcrowded at that time.

In a year, two years, we'll see how things go. Who knows what will happen.
