CNC - Building My Own

I have been collecting pieces and parts for a while. Extrusion. Wheels. Elgoo uno. Shields. Nuts. Bolts.

I have taken apart printers for stepper motors. I have a computer power supply.

I have been watching you tube videos on how to build.

I'm ready.

I have been inspired watching videos of people taking apart DVD drives and showing how they made a mini CNC engraver.

Another maker used a drill press and a double vise to make a machine. I don't have a double vise, but I have threaded rod and lots of extrusion.

My wheels are turning.

My table is 24 by 22 inches. Plenty big for now.

Ok. So now I have the beginnings of my x and y axis.

I have decided that I need to center my 5/8 rod on both so there is less friction and drag.

Pondering.
